Low Light Session :

On friday i kinda felt like on the bottom of the valley . Everything was
fuzzy and exhausting and even some of the most standard repeat combos
took forever to hit. I want that dammned stepping set to be alllll mine -
how can the easiest of all basic sets be so fucking elusive ? I'll will find out...

Runs were only so so, a fact that really put me off , in fact it puts me off that
much, that i almost forgot how well drifter practice went .
My flip quantum is also on the rise and i will hit Serge's combo pretty soon.

Stuff :

tapping pick up>smear>tapping pick>plo>smear>d. mir>d.clip>spin clip>
d.clip

atom>atom>atom

butter>shmoe>butter>stepping legover rpt ( from the other side )

spinning clipper>blur

diving mirage>ducking mir>ducking clip>d.clip>dpdx mir>d.legover>
ducking mirage>catch

Other than that, i skooled toe blur out of atom, butter>pdx mir>toe blur,
dexless and dod .

Tripless Session

That was a ruff session, and now i'm feeling like grumpy bailed to hapiness,
if you know what that means - obviously i dont :P .
I feel like i accomplished more than i did last time, but the lightness from last
pages' sessions is on vacation at the moment.
The short run=less fun equasion is still annoyingly active, part because i
slack around during warm up, part because i try harder toe links and bs
tripless ( whilst trying to avoid the usual bull ) .

Well, stepping is a steep way up, but i gotz da legz for it ! Quantum is good,
Max and Yves' tips are working nicely for me and the slowly emerging
efficiency of that set is quite pleasing .
Probably i should dedicate the next session to more of the ruff stuff,
but in addition i will have a drifter/whirl/butter/dlo/dexless segment too.

tap>tap>atomsmasher>tap>tap ; 6xtap>tapping pick up>smear>run

not all of that is new, but still high up in my alphabet

It started with a lot of different clipper and bop drills followed by dexless
and stepping, so Bea and me spend a good at least pushing the ole
clipper game. i had to fight a lot, especially with getting dexless some
what consistant, but i did so succsessfully.

For a change we also refined pixie everything, as Kamil would call it,
then we went for some runs and after Bea's knees started to act up in
an intoreable manner, she went for stretches, while i went for some
drills. Working on a few fives was also a part of my programm yesterday,
so was pdx dlo and stepping out of dimwalk .

Random Observations :

Jordens sig tips are working for me.

My flip paradox mirage sux - gotta use that hip more to avoid "turning"
whilst doing buuter>pdx mirage rpt

Although my right side whirl is the stronger one, i used the other for every
whirl add on exclusivly.....definitly somrthing to think about.

Results :

14 guiltless average run length

phoenix>pdx mirage>butter - never sealed with a 3 before

a very nice first try-after-ages blurry whirl :D

dim>blur>atom>12 guiltless,starting from flip

dim>blur>dim>run and butter>blur>rpt run

magellan>smear>plo>rpt>atom>drop on atom

spinning clipper>gyro mirage (only on 1 side  )

smear>atom>smear>atom>smear>atom>duck mir>duck mir>d.clip>
pdx mirage

pdx dlo>paradon ( flp) first try ever 8)

Thanks Wim :)...if you wanna get into what my sigs all about, feel free
to go back a page of my blog and click on the fun link provided by Bjoern -
thats a vid of ryan m. upsetting our little hack world of 2000  where
i also do some hunch back of notredame type moves...

Last session was kinda low, i had this huge gym sesh in mind, but 4 out of
6 were absent and footbag conditions ( gear, body feel, place ect) were
kinda shitty for me.
Tobi's presence made my day though. He's a very nice person to be around
with, and its kool to see him improving.

I worked on some basic clipper stuff and some toe guiltless, but sloppily .

News :

quantum legover>toe blur

smear>tap>ducking mirage>plo>rpt>drop on atom

footed three new trix and still wasnt able to nail gyro whirl :(

Tomorrow will be perfect shred, as Ales calls it
But then, how could it be perfect if Bea is suffering knee pains ?
Hopefully Beatrix will be better on the weekend ! I need her around .

I actually did that when I read Bjoern's post (and didn't get it) but it wasn't until on watching it again just now that I recognised you!!! OMG, that's you in the red shorts! Before I just thought that was a white muthafucka with a good tan

Latest Impressions :

- flip stepping out of butter and flip pixie need a lot of work

- i need to work more on clipper only combos

- dexless is kinda elusive - if i dont work on it every session, i wont get it
consistant - Duh :P !

- i was damm lazy last week - played footbag only once :(

+ atomic legover>paradon bs, datw>para (str), quantum leg>para (flp)

+ most standard rpt combos start to earn that name 4 rizzaaal

+ 53 clipper , 10 infinities, 23 contacts of butter>pdx mirage

+ run length is ok and there's an increasing number of 4's involved :)

+ quantum and atomic are ok both sides

+ harder/more rare trix are being hit more often (pdx whirl, smog, dbl pick up, pdx tap, phoenix, dps mirage )

+ last week i hit zoid set pdx mirage and tapping dlo

TRIPLESS SESSION

rip>blur>atom

dim>blur>atom bs

blur>atom>legbeater bs

park>blur>atom>toe blur

dim>blur>atom>atom>toe blur ( no seal :(  )

good session, despite the lack of energy . i love the boost that i get whilst
going tripless, kinda gives me an idea how the really intense guys must
feel like...

i use a lot of stepping, mainly blur, and also a lot of dlos midrun - feels
good, plus its more fun than always using pdx mirages out of butter .

runs were on today - good links, spontaneous usage of rare elements
and the right balance of relaxedness and intensity.

my flip pixie continues to suck...

Yooooi !

Today i skooled stepping, dso, dlo, dexless and quantum.
I like the fact that i'm getting somewhat better at using these elements
midrun, on both sides.
It was nice that sidewalks are still with me, despite all unlawful neglegence.
Another kool thing was a sudden understanding how to do flip dso
out of another toe trick -----> happiness :)
There was also some swirl and a bit more drifter practice and a coupla
decent runs and single trix too .

shmoe>dso bs

dlo>dso bs also the other way round, but unfortunatly not 2b2...

toe blur>toe blur a lot - i wanto hit that Serge challenge soonish !

ducking clip>sidewalk bs almost rpt...

shmoe>dso>smear>ss butter>shmoe>run

butter>sidewalk>pdx mirage>plo>ss butter>blur>plo>dlo>run

plo>smear>dlo>plo>butter>stepping leg>butter>pdxmir>rpt>d.mir

dso>toe blur

atomic legover>dso both sides, first try :D

i sealed all of these dso links with 1-6 guiltless .

and probably the best most surprising and all around wonderful combo
that i've ever hit :

quantum mirage>butterfly swirl 8)

Dude! How about dso>quantum mir>butt swirl for sick03??? That'd be s-w-e-e-t!

Also I don't mean to be an annoying prick but how's the osis going? It seems to me that if you manage to combine osis with your strong 'frontal body' play, you would be able to go guiltless for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever (god I love ctrl+v)!

Mec, j'irais visiter Bruxelles avec l'ecole c'ete :D and yes, i'm working on
that dirty osis - Bea's keen eyes watch every move i make, which helps
me a lot. According to her my main focus should be on timing the spin
correctly, i'll keep you updated, Wim-San  !

It was a nice light session today, Bea and me went thru the basics for
a bit - her legs have to get re-adjusted to the pains and gains in footbag-
then we started to work on osis, later we skooled swirls and some ducking.
I was alright doing swirls, hit them both sides without much hassle,
on my strong side, i hit them out of butters quite a lot.
The main problem with that move no longer is the seperation of set and dex,
or the delay, but its practicabillity . It seems to be real hard for me to hit
anything decent out of it, gotta work on that.

Runs were a little disappointing from my side, i only got a few good ones.
The main elements of my shred were all there though, but i really have to
invest some time in getting dexless solid (again).
I like the stepping and double dex progress a lot these days, i hope it
becomes part of my system even more.

butter>ducking pdx mirage rpt
a few times

butterfly swirl again, footed some other nice swirl variants

a run with blur>atom, rip, dim

toe set double pick up ( and an unsealed toe barrage )

good dlo/dso runs

challenges accepted, and i challenge myself to hit alpha legbeater and
atomic ss swirl :)

Sometimes playing footbag is really exciting and all endorphins, sometimes microspopic and analytical.
Last session i was checking on a lot of the weak points of my
game, and besides the clipper/bop stuff i always see a lot of
room 4 improvement, i realized how much my flip pixie went
down to shit.
Another thing is taking every trick seriously - every movement should
be carried out respectfully. I drop a lot on sloppy stalls, confusion is
second, endurance last.
I also gotta keep in mind giving all elements adequate attention, it was
interesting to see how little work/neglegence it can take to change the
availibillity of a trick. I need better whirls and my dexless consistant.

As for the good stuff, i kinda liked stepping that day - one run i hit
shmoe and stepping legover bsos, a ripwalk and some other stuff.
Also sidewalk bsos, and i got closer to hit sidewalk swirl than i thought .
I worked on clipper set dlo, which is still sketchy, but fun, drifters are
also fun.

i hit all of my newer moves ( butterfly swirl, toe set dbl pick up, pdx tap )
at least once.

ducking mirage>atomsmasher>rpt>12 guiltless

gyro toe>dlo

quantum legover>plo>quantum legover>butter>blur>smear>dlo>plo>
plo>butter>blur>ss dlo>d.mir>d.clip>d.clip>spin drop

and so on.

i want to get better, butter and osis are essential, i need to skool down
time and dexless everytime i shred, sets and double dexes - please bear
with me :!:
