I think I've read/heard about the whirlwind swirl on... like... 4 different occasions now (chat/club/que tape max?/here) but it doesn't get any less amazing AT ALL!

Also props on the blitz trip, 'doing' Europe in 1 day, and for giving a comprehensive outline of the Slovenian shred scene in 1 paragraph (a 14yr old fearless kid wtf)!

blablabla nothing much going on footbag wise. I played a short 90min session the other day in QUANTUMS. It was my fist session with them and I'd been told they take some time getting used to. That's true. So no really long runs, few flip pixies, few flip stepping sets... I did hit blizzard > tripwalk wich is a cool rewind though.

Other than that well I need to get some admin sorted out. Put my BXL appartment up for rent, find a new bigger one that I can move into with my g/f. Start with the AUS Immigration procedure which will take months. Start looking up a couple of paths for finding a job in Oz. I need to get my foot into the Finance sector somehow (I have a couple of ideas how).

Anyway life-plan is moving along nicely

Oh and I'm going skiing in the French Alps for a week. It's decided

Yo Max, my brother in-law works for Macquarie Bank, he doesn't have enough pull to get you a job (its extremely difficult to get a job there and because its so competitive its a ridiculously stressful place to work with long hours - though the pay can be good), but I'm sure he could give you some helpful tips, I'll ask him about it.

Hey Dyalan! Yeah I know that large Banks are hard to get ino, long application form submissal procedures, endless interviews etc. Ridiculous hours and the like. I really appreciate you asking your brother for any advice though! As I said I'm exploring all avenues

Had a short shred yesterday with Julien. 'Twas good fun! I was absolutely dead tired due to early work hours and little sleep but had a nice time kicking. I had set several goals for this session notably to try the following: spinning blender > ripwalk (never stepped out of spinning blender before) // janiwalker > pdx dlo (just to seal it with something other than a bop) // jani > ripwalk (just to step out of jani).

Well I tried all those combos and I managed to hit:

janiwalker > pdx dlo > handcatch. Super clean, super controlled

janiwalker > chest high stepping set (dropped the butterfly)
spinning blender > chest high stepping set (dropped the butterfly)

I'm happy about the last two links.

Other tidbits:
9 unique tripless again...
41 contact guiltless string
flip pdx blender (maybe a first for me)

bleh session yesterday... Didn't really fell i was "in" there. Couldn't hit a jani to save my life. Or a spinning blender for that matter... I did have a 24 contact guiltless with loads of 4s.. dropped on dlo *again* argh.

Nothing really note-worthy.
phoenix > blurry drifter > spinning whirl (boring)
blury whirl > ps whirl > spinning drop (boring)

I had a very decent attempt at blury drifter > bedwetter and spinning whirl > mobius... but to no avail. Other than that er... nothing much. Oh bedwetter to legbeater. Not exactly ground-breaking stuff. Some scorpion's tails thrown about, lots of tomahawks too. A nice little pdx dlo > doubt atw > ss symp. whirl.

Had another bleh session yesterday. Was feeling tired. tired like I knew that I just couldn't even try some combos due to lack of energy. Still I am happy to say that I did hit a new trick that I'd been trying for about 4 years now:

Other than that: some long guiltless runs, vortex > torque (harder than it seems), ripwalk x4 > blurry whirl, spinning osis > pdx blender

that's about all I can remember... was a bit let down by it all.

like last year I played with all three Daouks in Brussels yesterday. Was very cool indeed, they're a nice bunch those three (Shirine, Silwane and Karim). Julien from Brussels was also here to join in on the fun.

I've got a bit of a cold and we were all recovering from 3-4 days of excessive eating and drinking.. so we weren't exactly light on our feet so to speak!

PLayed for two hours, Karim was throwing down some crazy tricks (barfly swirl BS, pdx whirling swirl BS, whirring swirl, alpine blurry whirl BS) and combos as usual.

Then we went and had a couple of fine Belgian beers

It's cool that they pop over to Brussels to see family at christmas time and i think they're happy to have a crew to hook up with here in BXL also!

Anyway, twas a nice refreshing little christmas shred. Oh and I hit vortew to ps egg, so that made me happy

Hmm.. hadn't kicked in weeks and it felt like months... It felt like i just couldn't control my legs like I used to. Anyway I had a brief one hour kick yesterday, nothing relaly of note except that I was a bit of a "dusting off" session.

I did hit a new combo: blury drifter > whirling swirl (firts try) and had whirling swirl > blur off my foot several times. OH and a 30ish guiltless run. Ok, enough about footbag. The reason I was away and didn't kick in a while was because I was off BOARDING IN THE FRENCH ALPS FOR 10 DAYS! Pictures and videos are forthcoming

(lots of first tracks in 1m of powder in Tignes)

Hello there! I have actually been to Italy several times. Unfortunately I've never had the chance to do any skiing there but they have some very well-known resorts there. I kind of travelled through Italy for two weeks a while ago. Also did a one-week footbag demo-camp type of thing for "European Youth". And I highly highly recomment Sicily: it's a fantastic place!.
Benoite is doing fine, I know this because she's been living with me in Brussels for 2 months now: great fun! We're renting a humongous flat in a super sweet neighbourhood

Things are good and we're planning on going to Sydney for several years.

Actually no, my flurry and janis are on the same sise. That said, I've still to this day only actually hit one single flurry... so err yeah it is a bit arrogant of me to talk about "good" and "flip" sides

I film every now and then but I'm always a bit dissapointed by the resulsts (short clips with a photo camera at the end of a tiring session... that kind of footage) but yeah I'll post something soonish as we're about to head OUTSIDE to kick now weather permitting..

Ok some highlights as I havn't really posted in here in ages. Recently I've been into the wohle osis > gyro whatever. i think it's called zooming but I'm not sure anyway here goes:

osis > gyro mirage BSOS (some of those runs had osis > gyro clipper BSOS as well)
osis > gyro osis [repeat]
osis > mobius (That's like my third flip mobius ever, and yes Ken if you're reading this I am thinking about mobius x2)
osis > merkon BS
osis > gyro legover BS
osis > gyro butter BS

other little tidbits:

darkwalk > ps whirl > spinning whirl
tomahawk > spinning whirl
pdx drifter > whirling swirl > ripwalk
super close to blurry drifter > fog..
one of my easiest janis EVER

I definitely plan on visiting Sicily sometime. After I graduate next May, I plan to visit Italy again for a few months and I might try to work there for a while. I'll definitely try to make it to Brussels if possible! I'm glad you and Benoite are doing well - tell her I said hi and I thank her once more for letting me stay at her place back in Paris last summer. I still think about that trip almost daily! I hope you do go to Australia - I definitely want to go there sometime as well.
