no, i use it all the time, ive never had a program installed to use it... it has options to use a program, but you dont have to, an example:

Thanks for the advice everybody. I picked up a seagull coastline acoustic last week, and I'm just learning all the basic chords now. I thought this part was going to be pretty boring but it's actually pretty fun. My left fingertips are taking a little beating though.

I think it's an S6. Seagull's website just calls it the Coastline Spruce, but I recall the tag at the store saying it was an S6 as well. I actually got a decent deal on the case. It's a hardshell with some sore of nice faux fur lining on the inside and a couple of storage compartment, which they were charging $90 for, but I talked them down to $50Matt Cross wrote:siiiick buddy!! do you know the model number beyond Coastline?
