USA Daylight Savings

Post by Moxie »

Don't forget,

"On the last Sunday in October (10/29/06), clocks are set back one hour at 2:00 a.m. local daylight time, which becomes 1:00 a.m. local standard time."

Also related,
"These dates were recently modified with the passage of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, Pub. L. no. 109-58, 119 Stat 594 (2005). Starting in March 2007, daylight time in the United States will begin on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November.

Not all places in the U.S. observe daylight time. In particular, Hawaii and most of Arizona do not use it. Indiana just recently adopted the use of it beginning in 2006."

Quoted from this website.
"I contend we are both atheists, I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."

2007 changes!!!

Post by Iron Clad Ben »

Hi Everybody,
Not sure if everyone is aware but in 2007, US Daylight Savings time is changing. It will be 4 weeks longer :)

The main thing is this year it starts 3 WEEKS EARLIER, on March 11th. It also ends one week later on Nov 4th.

See here for details:
http://webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/b.html

The way I see it, that's much more daylight to shred this year :P
