It took me forever to find some good pics of a brocka mod. So I decided to post some when I finished mine. I folded over a piece of facile then stitched it across to prevent fraying. I think it also looks a little nicer, plus the facile matched perfect in color to the dark blue.

I just went through pgs 1- 31, and am giving up.

I have 4 pairs of laver, 2 red, 1 grey, and one navy. What I am wondering is, how do you tell if they are "China" lavers vs regular lavers? I will post a pic tomorrow of all my shoes, but in the mean time if you know the answer to my question, I would love to hear form you.

Oh..... LOL!!

Are there any differences between Lavers made in China? Why would one specify that they have China Lavers? Isn't everything made in China?

all lavers made recently (past 4 or 5 years or so) are china lavers. the past ones were like... slovakia and had yellowish soles and were much heavier, yet more durable.

Lavers a few years ago were made in a European country (somewhere with a name i cant remember and probably couldnt pronounce if i did remember it), but i believe they are discontinued. Lavers are now produced in China.

The old style Lavers looked almost the same but the sole was kind of a yellowy tinge and it was very long lasting. This made the sole heavier so the shoe was heavier overall, but the sole would last like, years without wearing out.
China lavers are the same design etc but much lighter, however they wear out much quicker.

Speaking of the original lavers .. i was at the adidas store a bit back ... and they had them in a size 4.5 or 5 and i immediately thought of calling Henry ... but then i remembered what happened last time i called him ... so i didnt

Erik Chan had a pair of those that he played in for around 20 years, and they never wore out ... then he got red lavers and everyone was like OMG!!!

Well here is my shred shoes collection.

The most left pair have not been modded (1/2 size too big), the pair beside fit well until I opened the toe box (bought new reds before modding old), and are used for walking around shoes. These kicks have seen me through minus 60C weather and I don't wear boots. The grey ones are brand new, unmodded, and are for when my blue pair wear out. The blue one are new, have the toe and inside canvas removed, plus toe box opened. I also have a few pairs of dress shoes and a pair of Pony's.

Thanks for the complimets on the shoes. THe navy ones are my favorite, and I think they look killer with white laces.

I got the old red ones form the Sportsmen Guide more than a year ago, and the rest I got from Kolo. I have purchased 5 pairs of lavers form Kolo in the last year. 3 for me, 1 for my girlfriend and one for my old roommate.

Both red pairs are size 10 and the grey and navy ones are perfect at size 9.5. What a difference a half size makes.

Anyone know the scoop on why some lavers have a white leather backer and some don't? Is it mens vs womens? All of these sukers are made in China.
