Come ON man!!! That's the stupidest shit ever! "I can't figure out how to fix it, how about I throw my hands in the air and say 'god will fix it!' and all my problems will go away!"

The fact that so many people believe in this stupid bullshit is scary. You know what effect praying for something has? FUCKING NOTHING!!!

Gaw, how can religious people take this shit seriously??

I don't want any more religion related posts in my blog please.

All it does is frustrate me and make me sad that so many people are so deluded.

Put down your fucking scripture and take a look around at the real world all around you!!! Science is real, believe in that instead!

Tom, I understand that you dont like reiligion, it is quite obvious. I myself am not religous either but I do beleive that if you want people to respect your opions about a situation that you must respect theres.

And where religion has never helped you, it has helped millions of people. Whether it is real or not, it is something for someone to put faith into. And that helps some people. Why there is no proof that there is a god, you can see examples everyone of religion of any kind helping people.

With religion being such a touchy subject I dont think you should post such negative things about it. What if someone you really looked up to was reading your blog and happend to be really religous and now hated you forever, you wouldnt want that would you?

btw it was really nice finally meeting you at NYJ, hopefully at the next event we are at we can kick and hang out some more.

Thanks for the thought out reply zach.

Ive thought about the issue more and I think that I should return to my previous attitude of avoiding discussions of this form. The people willing to get involved in them are the kind of people who are already firmly set in their thinking and they're prepared to fiercly defend it. Myself included of course. But the thing is, I am not the kind of guy that really gives enough shit to argue back and forth over some topic that won't go anywhere.

So that's where I am at now, I will let people do what they wish theistically.

I choose not to be religious, not athiest or agnostic, not religious at all dammit. I don't even want to take a stance on god's existence, I don't care! I am doing JUST GREAT without some book telling me how to live.

The only quasi spiritual connection I feel is that with integrity and honesty. I really feel like the more I actively intentionally "do the right thing even when nobody is looking" the more karma brownie points I score and then good shit happens to me. So I just keep being a good guy doing nice things honestly and I seem to be cruising through life real nice.

And you can't tell me I can't believe in karma brownie points if you get to believe in a God!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAH

what a fucking trip!!!

So here I am getting ready for class when the door buzzer buzzed...

I go to see who it is, two nice looking old ladies, hmm interesting..

Turns our they were jehovas witnesses at my door to talk about religion with me! hahah

I suspended my desire not to talk about religion and I gave in.

What a strange experience, it was my first time talking to a religious person in person since Ive recently taken a real interest in all this stuff.

I was overwhelmed by the flood of things I felt the need to say. I feel like I did okay at conveying the core things I wanted to say.. but jeez, it was pretty frustrating. they like.. 'heard' what I had to say, but there was no way they were going to listen to my logic without poisoning it with their damn bible shit.

I gave it to em raw too, I brought up all the things I could think up that I could smash down. I had some real solid points too. Well... i guess technically richard dawkins had the good points and I just barfed them at the ladies.

but the chat was mature and interesting. I shook their hands and wished them a good day.

hah, I think they showed up just to shove it in my face that I won't really be able to avoid religious discussions. The lady is coming back on friday to chat with me again, I am going to have my points organized and I will do my best to make a nice old lady set in her jesus ways to at least view things from my side.

What a start to the day!

Good luck on Friday!

I hate talking to Jehovah's Witness or the people that come and talk to you at bus stops. It really gets annoying and can get very rude too.

How's the shred been?

I saw an interview with Deepak Chopra on CBC the other day slamming religion. It was pretty intense actually, cause I always thought all his mystic voodoo bullshit was some kind of faith healing thing, but he was really vehemently tearing shit up.

As far as global warming goes, I'm heading for high ground with a truck full of canned vegetables and a couple shotguns. Wish I was joking, but that's pretty much my plan.

i dont think i believe in prayer either. i dont think my beliefs fall under a religion... but i certainly have beliefs. its hard for me to follow the idea that theres some big god watching our every move and allowing bad things to happen to good people. i believe in good and evil but good isnt necessarily angels/god/jesus/buddah and evil isnt exactly the devil/demons/witches/magic.

i dont think asking something/someone to fix the problems we've caused is going to work. i believe that action is the only thing thats going to save us. "god" isnt going to clean up our messes.

change doesnt come with one thump... it has to thump again and again and again until someone says "hey, thats different" and then its gotta do a couple more thumps before someone says "we need to do something".

afterthought- maybe if i used correct grammar and punctuation people would take me seriously

This is from the 'getting to know the community' thread:

This is such a great thread, I keep finding myself thinking about it alot..

More about me..

- I am very afraid of dark rooms when I am alone, not at all when anyone else is present (even my cat)
- for years I was deathly afraid of seeing a UFO out my window so I would twist the blinds in a way that let me look down but not up
- I am very afraid of ghosts, but I am not sure what about them scares me
- Religion and religious people really frustrate me. I don't have the motivation to say all the things I want to say to the worlds religious people, and it wouldnt matter anyways since they are dead set on their crazy ways.
- I have really great parents, I think I said this before but it's still really true and pertinent
- I try so hard to follow through on the abundance of passion I feel for life
- I sometimes want everyone to love me and make a big deal about me... but then when I finally get that I hate it so much and run away
- Very often I am inclined to just be alone and think
- I am extremely selective about who I hang out with, luckily I have found a great group of friends that like me too
- all my best friends play footbag
- pengpeng has taught me so much about life and how to not be retarded, I am very lucky
- I just looked out the window and saw a squirrel scurry past
- deep deep down at the core of 'me' I am genuinely happy and positive nearly always. I try very hard to always have a positive outlook and find ways to make situations good
- the KFM is so awesome! I love my homeboys (and girl)
- I copied and cheated my way through the last 2 or 3 years of univeristy. I am not cheating this, my final, semester and it feels great.
- karma motivates me. combined with integrity I wind up doing alot of 'good' things without anyone directly noticing
- I quit littering about 2 years ago and havn't slipped since
- it frustrates me that so many people are so negative
- it frustrates me that people act like modified has changed greatly and that it sucks now, people just feel the need to complain.
- complaining is stupid
- irony is sweet
- the past year has been a flood of learning and I feel I am a much better person now than I have ever been
- in 8 weeks school ends and my whole life changes forever... it's alot to think about
- i am starting to post on a fixed gear bike forum, but only some of the people are nice so it's not stealing that much of my time
- xanabox feels cool
- alot of people have wierd hangups from odd parenting or something, I want to raise my kids like my parents raised me
- i really want to impress everyone with things I do

I could go on forever, this thread is great, it makes you all introspective and shit.

Something about that thread really gets me..

Life is still pretty great lately.

I think really soon i am going to start tackling the writeups of the events Ive gone to.

footbag:

- footed xanabox nearly 10 times, ENRAGING!!!
- dim>stepping whirl>schmoe rpt
- smoke>blender bsos (also, first time hitting smoke bsos)
- phoenix>gravedigger
- blaze
- bubbabeater>dod
- tapping dlo bs
- fairy ss dlo bs (one after the other, my favie)
- pdx tapping whirl (also one after the other)

Ive been drilling lots of components too. Playing with FAT really inspired me to start doing alot of components Ive neglected (head stuff, atomsmasher, dlo, symp mirage) and all my drilling is slowly paying off!

The other day when we played I was like.. SUPER strong at the start! how satisfying! I was going genuine alot of the time and really mixing it up with a big variety.

I am very frustrated with my footwear!!!
The units are at least a half size too big so I don't play in them anymore. I just can't make use of the damn surfaces, I overcrank SO often! Yeah, that's one thing that crankless ankles never cause!

So I am back in the climas and I am ripping it, I can go like three times harder in them. Maybe I need some leather units in the perfect size.. the clima surfaces are only 'pretty good'. I really need nice even surfaces like lavers or the mesh units.. but... but... bleh, someday.

Maybe some day some big company will give me the chance to make the perfect shoe and I will finally be able to demonstrate how well I 'get it'.

For now.. frustration. At least I am motivated!

Geez, all this footbag talk makes me want to crack out the blades.

I think I just found out what I am going to do today! Yippee!

Oh yeah, and xanabox has extra special meaning to me.

Derrick and I are racing to hit the drill, the loser owes the winner five grams of weed. I know the tightballs sissypants types might not like us using weed as motivation but it's all for fun.
Well sorta, I hear the 'Five Gram Challenge' (as we call it) is stressing derrick out! I better hit it today and get it off his mind.

I bet all the darn xanabox practice I got trying to hit it for a half hour the other day will mean that it's like a bail now.

Hang on, I am going to 'roll up the rim to win'.... (<- only makes sense to canadians, sorry yankees and euros)

'please play again', lame.

next time!

I want to make my blog awesome. Dave's is pretty cool but mine can be better, blog wars!

I had a good shred with Derrick and John today.

Highlights:

- BLENDER>PDX BLENDER RPT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8O :D  Derrick and I call this the Mikko Lepisto drill and it's been a jerk off fantasy of mine for sooooo long, I really thought I was months away from it!

- spinning pdx blender one side, the other one soon

- torque>bedwetter

- paradon rake bs and bsos

- barfly rake bs and bsos

- rake>ss rake rpt

- reverse rake>dimwalk bsos

- far motion>pdx blender

- whirling rake bs

- merkon>dod combos

- ducking butt>spinning butt bs

- pdx blender double bsos

If you didn't notice, blender is my bitch now.

Frigging finally, I couldn't believe how long I had whirls and osis on lockdown but not blender. Times have changed!

Also, I can totally spin now, I do them lots in strings.

I am going to keep spinning as much as I can now just incase I stop being able to.

I was surprised how easy double down rakes are too.

I feel like there are highlights I am forgetting, the blender>pdx blender repeat is overshadowing everything in my memory. It was such a thrill and shock, I roared and pumped my arms wildly!

Oh yea, both derrick and I are into surging now too. He hit surreal and I footed it a million times, not so hard surprisingly. I totally understand how people use it in beast combos.

Anyways, time to go play with Pengpeng. Ice skating or bike riding? Hmm, fun to be had!

i like the idea of the 5 gram challenge. its all about having fun! ...one day ill start back smoking again... one day.

climas kick ass. if youre not comfortable playing in other shoes, then just get you some more climas. you dont have to give goonits and lavers a second chance. climas rule!

I really like the blender > p blender drill. I was trying that last week, and only got through 3 of them, and as far as it looking nice, well, lets just say it would've made medusa a star.

Great shred with derrick and john today!

We had perfect conditions in an old hall at Queen's. We were in a hundred year old room with tender wooden floors and beams of sunlight streaking in.

My hightlights:

- toe symple swirl>schmoe rpt

- torque>blender rpt

- blurry whirl>pdx blender>ps whirl both sides

- toe blender>barrage rpt

- gyro osis>pdx whirl rpt

- dod rake bs

- quantum rake, only tried one side

Probably other stuff, I am DEF improving lately, finally!

I will talk more about my lifey stuff in the next post.

I am stoked for amaretta from nathan, maybe that will spark my stitching fire again..

hahah good ole josiah!

I miss you!

You know what bag gets played with regularly these days?

The bag you made for me as a trade!! Whenever people are like "whoa this bag is sick!" I make sure to pipe in that I tought you everything you know. :P

I finished an assignment for one of my classes today! I feel so accomplished. This semester I am doing all my own work and I am still finding it satisfying.

KFM is tonight! Yesss!!!

I look forward to Thursday night at 7 so eagerly all week, it's the one guaranteed super fun activity that I do every week.

What tricks will I work on tonight? A bunch I guess.

Lately Ive been steering the multiverse pretty intensely and rather frequently.

There are some potentially impending impactful things afloat and I look forward to discovering which way it will all turn out.

I am at a unique turning point in my life right now where I am coming to the end of six years in Kingston and at Queen's University. In like.. 8 weeks or so I will be finished my final two courses EVER. After that my lease on my incredible apartment of 5 years will come to an end and I will move out.

I havn't moved out from anywhere in a long time, that means I have ALOT of shit. Like, heaps and heaps of stupid crap that I have acquired. I like my crap, I am the kind of guy that feels the need to hang onto things 'just in case', hence I have alot of things. If I didn't always seem to find uses for the crap I keep then I wouldn't keep keeping crap. What a sentance!

After Kingston I guess I will move to my parents house to regroup everything and figure out what's next.

A big part of me really wants to move to Berlin. Like, most of me really.

There are a million reasons why Berlin wins in my head as the best possible city to move to. The crazy thing is that in reality I get to pick anywhere in the world to move to. Any place would mean a total life reset and accustomizing to a new environment. Berlin lit my brain and heart up like no other city ever has, and frankly, why not??

So that would be the ideal next big step.

I really look forward to purging piles of my junk in a final goodbye to Kingston.

I still don't know what I will do for a job but with a mechanical engineering degree there will be many doors opened to me.

Ich auch verstehe ein bission deutch. Hah, I haven't tried typing it much before, I bet I got a bunch of that wrong.

Anyways, I have alot more to say but that will come in time.

I wish I typed in here as much as my mind wants me to. I am just so often busy doing a million and two things and I never slow down long enough to spew anything out in here.

Someday I will have the time on my hands to make this bloggy great with fun stories to read. It sucks that my blog makes it look like I don't do anything, the reality is that I am doing SO much that I don't have time to say what's up. Everyday is filled with wonderful hilarious experiences that are too numerous to share, how lucky I am! :)
