Nighthack: Glow in the dark footbag
I got one to test out and was quite impressed, especially since I've tried similar bags in the past and been rather disappointed. I just finished writing up a complete product description, with YouTube videos of them in action, here:

(Even though you can't tell, Jim was landing tricks like blurriest and food processor with this thing. Looks cool nonetheless.)
Peace.

Hey thanks Daryl! I've always wondered whether or not there would be a decent one of these. I've heard bad reviews about the one on WFA. That was really neat. I like how it just looks like it's floating. I might get one of these very soon. Are the batteries replaceable?
And as you said... "Damn that's cool!"

these glow bags are really fun. Whats really fun is buying glowsticks and making a 4-square with them, then playing glow in the dark 4-square, we did this at the idaho jam and it was REALLY fun

Seems you Idaho boys have all the glow in the dark fun
Just curious if any of the stitchers have considered placing an led or something in their 32 panels. I'm not sure how well it would "glow" as the fabric is fairly opaque but its just a thought.

It looks like this:

(albeit only for a second or so with the fade version, and only for a split second with the strobe version). Check out the product description to see what the versions look like in action:

There's a screw-in cap that holds in the replaceable batteries (on the back of the bag - it's not shown in the picture). Tightening the cap all the way turns on the bag.
To be honest, I don't think this sort of bag would be improved much by making it a 32 panel. Just due to the nature of it, it's not perfectly balanced - adding more roundness isn't going to really improve playability. It's still lightyears beyond, for example:

The Nighthack (unlike the Glowmaster pictured directly above) is quite kickable. When I first got a sample, I pulled it out and I got 100 kicks with it on my first try and then stopped. It's a bit more challenging in total darkness, but man is it cool looking!

It's actually never white. I just flashes so fast that it looks white. Look very closely at my 2-bag juggle - when the balls are moving they change colors very quickly. You can really tell if watch the high-res version here:

They are not that sophisticated. Both the "strobe" and "fade" styles have only 2 options: "on" and "off". Basically you can get the fast changing kind (strobe) or the slow one (fade).Wumbo wrote:and can i let it flash in different colors? thats my question. or can i set fade to one color that it keeps it

I just received the night hack bag(super fast shipping) and it suprised me(in a good way).
After i took it out of the package I was amazed by how much more control I had with this bag oppsing this bag:

I have both bags and theres no doubt that the the night hack their selling on freedom is better. First off the bag is made out of fabric not like the plastic shell on the other light up hack, second the LED inside the night hack bag is alot smaller that the LED on the other bag, and third the filler inside the nighthack actually has some weight to it not like the shredded rubber/plastic in the opposing bag. Overall its a pretty fun bag. The fade is pretty sweet. It fades green, blue, and red(maybe orange and purple but im not sure). Its fun. Its probably the best LED night hack made yet(compared to the other one).
Also how do you wash it?
