Hey guys,
Recently I took an enviornment class and they talked about lead and my professor made a pretty big deal out of it. If you remember my old post about lead I kind of blew off my knowledge when my doctor said it was ok. Well, my professor combined with me living in a small area with low circulation (a dorm room) has caused me to switch.
Starting 2 bags ago I am switching over 100% to tungsten. This is why my bags have gone up $3 dollars. It costs .20 to fill a bag with lead and 2.00 to fill it with tungsten. Through some testing I have found a filler mixture that works just as well if not better than my lead one.
This is just an announcement so people know that any Clavens bag you buy after this post is non-toxic and safe (according to my tungsten packaging and conversations with abshire who uses the same metal).
If you have any old Clavens bags I will pay for the shipping and only charge you $2.00 to refill them, which means I am making no profit.
While lead still might be safe for casual shredders who don't touch lead much, I think since I came in contact with it quite often it could have some adverse effects down the road. Better safe that sorry I would say. This is just my way of caring for myself and my customers. There is no need to use toxic filler when non-toxic stuff works just as well.
Thanks.

Does Tungsten have this shiny coat on the shot's surface? I'm just asking because I have some of this shot in reserve from an old abshire I leaked some time ago. Circa summer '05? I think that's when Richard switched from steel shot to Tungsten.
