So sad I like you, you can't hate me

And I'm trying to be totally bothsided, the thing that is currently bugging me the most is I still have difficulty putting flip pixie midstring ( except for PLO). But yeah, I'm totally bothsided for my basics, for most of them I have a better one, but the difference isn't too noticeable with my flip. My atomics and steppings are both almost equal, I can set both high, just can't put them midstring yet. And I can't fairy flipside ( already hit few things out of it, but never worked on them because flip pixie is still hard )

Another nice session today, starting with a warm-up and few strings. After that I started doing few more spin and Ianek helped me, even put some midstring! After that Seb arrived, that was the first time meeting him. He helped me with flip dlo and a lot with little details again. I definitely have to play more ''under'' me. It will help my game a lot if I wan't to link few harder stuffs like putting some atomic midstring ( I put a few midstring today ). . I have to correct a bit my form too for my pixie, it will help a lot. Ianek finally quit and I played with Seb alone. It was fun and he helped me with a few things. I worked on flip near DLO at the end of the sessions, even if I haven't hit it. They felt easy and I got many on my foot. I believe the only reason why I haven't hit it we're because I was really worned out. It felts easy as well. If it goes like on the opposite side if I hit it I would be able to put some midstring instantly, I hope so :D

Well another session today, worked a LOT on flip pixie, the consistency isn't really good but at least the set is now a lot better, and a lot cleaner. I'm finally doing them like on the other side and it goes really better that way. I keep the ball closer to my body to when setting. Hit few sick 3 for the comps but the one I wanted to hit is like semi-sealed :S I set really good after the third trick, but was so happy that I rush into the clipper and semi-catch it before I set it really far from me. I could have hand catched it easily but I don't wan't to do an hand catch. I think it's much better sealed with an easy trick. I've hit the sick 3 few times not on camera too. Next session I'll try to get it really clean. I know I can do it. It's a really nice 3>4>3 combo that I like a LOT. To help to know what it is, there's a set from both feet in the combos plus a downtime 2 dexs, up to you to find the right combo :D

VERY long session where I hit few very nice strings with many pixies in and few very long strings too. It was very fun playing with many different guys, Yassine was there, Mathieu, Kolo and Koa. Long time haven't played with Koa so it was fun. After Mathieu and Yassine left ( 3 hours of shred then ) we shredded for like 15 mins before climbing on the walls there. There's nice climbing wall. We played a game where you have to follow the same way as the person before plus adding a rock at the end before another person goes and do the same. I'm so worned out now and I have hockey tomorrow plus work. Surely is a day off of shred.

Another session today, I shredded with Nic Laroche, Ianek and François ( had previously viewed him once or twice but it was before really getting into freestyle ). It was an okay session, throwed many butterfly in my string and they felt pretty easy, I'm going to drill the shit out of them and after that osis will be the next to drill really hard.

Great work on Butterflies man! :P And the Pixies too. Sounds like you are building a very solid foundation with both sides. That's excellent. Keep it up! :D

Awesome day today, drilled flip pixie a lot as usual, they we're feeling greattt today. I hit all the stuffs I wasn't sure I had previously hit with my flip pixie that I use midstring with strong pixie ( parkwalk, pixie SS clipper, smudge, pixie SS illusion ). That's not necessarily hard stuff but they all felt pretty easy except for pixie SS illusion. I need to put my feet on the ground faster for that. Drilled butterfly and mirage again. Mirage are feeling so easy now, every trick with it felt easier now. And putting pixie after mirage is feeling easy now. Started putting pixie after illusion more often. Still gotta work on that. A very nice string I was happy to hit : butterfly > pdx mirage > smear > butterfly > pdx illusion > smudge (on flip pixie !) > PLO > magellan (drop). Worked a bit on ducking, I'm beginning to understand how to spot the bag after the duck, hit ducking butterfly bs, pretty easy.

Hit a new challenge too : Magellan > PLO > rpt ( starting from flip only ) I want to hit it starting from strong now.

Weeee I'm at school and totally bored listening to the teacher. I'm surfing on modified and footbag site. I can't wait to get home to shred. I thought I should post my goal for the few next months, I remember posting my goals about my progress few months ago, they're now out of date so new one is a good idea. Be warned that this won't be the most interesting post, I just wanted to make the point about my game and where I want it to go.

First, I will continue drilling basics until they're totally down. Until they're mindless and I can shuffle with them for more than 50 contacts. Legover are totally down. Mirage should be soon. Pick-up don't need too much work either. So I have to work on illusion, butterfly, clipper and osis. Osis sucks hard but I should start being able to use them in strings soon. I'm beginning to understand the motion. Few idea of drills to work on :

illusion > SS illusion ( downtime fairy ) > rpt 30-40 contacts
SS butterfly > infinity > rpt 30-40 contacts
osis > osis ( still haven't hit it ) at least 10
osis > SS butterfly > rpt first goal wil be 12, but eventually wan't it better
plus the clipper drills Mathieu Gauthier gave me

I think hitting these goals is achievable in few months but necessary for my game. I have good basics, but not VERY strong basics. I wan't them to be totally dialed.

Break time!!! I'll came back after the break to edit that post with the rest of my goals!

Edit :

Well, so here's the rest :

My second goal is to totally own my pixies on both sides. They're good and I can put them midstring, but I want to be able to shuffle with it and to put them after ANYTHING even a trick like dlo or eggbeater.

Another thing is that I wan't to put more diversity in my game. The 2 ways I want to use to do that is adding some hard downtime component such as DLO's, eggbeaters, whirls, drifter, torque and why not try some grifters and flux when illusion will be totally down, well I'm sure I'm forgetting a few, but it gives an idea. Secondly I want to start adding atomic and stepping in my game, especially stepping because my clipper game is very basic. I love atomic but they won't open as many possibilites as stepping will so I'll probably work on stepping more than atomic.

I started thinking about double dexes recently. I want to drill them a bit but I don't feel any rush to do it either. But they look sick. Some of the nicest string (IMO) are mainly made of double dexes. I found string like : dod > barrage > paradon > barrage > paradon > double pick-up ........... and continue it like you want very sick. I won't be able to do stuffs like that before a long time but working on them once in a while is a nice start.

I think I'm beginning to have a nice fluidity too when shredding and I definitely want to work on my style. Definitely I should work on ducking and spinning ( and variants ) , they are both nice components that I like, but not that I love, but they open so many possibilites so I definitely need to work on them.

I know there's many stuffs in that posts and I have no idea how long it will take me to complete all of these objectives. But it's how I want to progress in my game. That is definitely going to direct my game for the next few months at least. There is certainly things that will change in that post but it's a nice start. I don't feel any rush to play guiltless only, I like the fact that I often do 20-30 contact strings and prefer going guiltless for few runs and going tiltless with many 3's for others. I don't feel like it's a bad thing in my game. We don't see many players using many basics so I like the different style it gaves me. Plus I don't like add, I hate add-chasing. I prefer a harder 4 add than an easy 5 add. And I would prefer linking 3 4's than beginning a string with a 5 that I have to try 3 times before hitting. ( not that I can link 3 4's, but that's what I prefer )I have hith plenty of 4 adds and I'm sure if trying hard I would be able to hit a 5 but I've never really tried. That's how I like my game. More equilibrate.

Sorry that my post is so long and I know it may be boring to read, but I wanted to make the point on my game, where I want my game to go and what I plan on drilling.

Shredded for a long time today, worked almost only on pixies, I will dial that set soon I can bet on it. Strong pixie is really easy and really consistent and I can do it out of anything. Flip is getting really easy too and I've hit plenty of easy feeling flip pixie today, but the consistency isn't totally there yet. Gotta work on that. I really can't wait until monday, I usually never shred during the week-end and I have a gym class on monday with a fkn awesome girl. Plus after the class I'm always going to shred with some people. For the first time of my life I guess I can say, I LOVE mondays!

Shred hard guys.

2 sessions since I posted, yesterday night played with nic laroche and ianek and today I played with Mathieu Gauthier. Yesterday was an ordinary session and it was fun, but today was just a great session. I've hit few new stuffs :

pdx eggbeater ( first try and midstring !!! )
bubbabeater
atomic SS legover bs
tapdown bs
pixie SS pincher + pixie pincher both bs
pinchy mirage!

Eggbeater are feeling lot better now. Atomic was going great today and my flip pixie is getting really strong, really happy of the improvement on that.

Pretty boring session today but very productive, I worked on osis a lot and got few very clean and very nice feeling. Nothing convincing but I'll get them. Worked on illusions too, they're feeling easier but still want to work on them. Worked on flip DLO and I'm beginning to get them, hit a few today. BSOS them too :) Almost hit flip eggbeater too. Strong eggbeater is feeling easy now. I was surprised of hitting 25 SS legover in a row on flip and after that DLOs and eggs were lot easier on flip. Got 3 whirls in a row at my only try on strong and footed 2 flips in like 5 attempts.

Good session today, dropped so many dimwalk I was pissed off about that. But my stepping set was doing good today and atomic too. Plus I hit a new trick!!! My first 3 dexs!!! Pigbeater yay, I was sooooo happy to hit it. I started thinking about it today. My eggbeater are going really good since 2 weeks and probably even better than my dlos now. And I was trying pixie dlo since a while ( 2 or 3 weeks ) so I thought I can try it. I think I hit it inside 20 tries so it wasnt so bad. I hit it twice. Also put backside smear midstring, they're feeling pretty easy now. Oh and I can now hit pixie set out of dlos. Have to work on that but have hit some. Also hit ripwalk twice in 3 tries, these was my first times hitting it! Didn't try it on flipside, I'll try next session for sure. Hit fairy butterfly one side.

Osis is still pissing me off.

I'm not talking a lot about other stuffs than footbag so here's a little intro about myself. I'm a college student and I have a part time job. Other than footbag I also play hockey in a team and we're playing our last game tomorrow before the playoff. I also love soccer and play every wednesday with friend in a gym during the winter. I play for a team during the summer season and this year we should have a good team and we hope to finish in the 2 first places because those two last years we finished in 3rd places and only the 2 first teams are going in the 3rd division ( I'm playing 4rth division, not very strong but better than recreative ). I don't have a girlfriend for now, seeking for one because I'm alone since lthe beginning of last summer and it's pretty boring. I also like to go out and sure drink some beers :D
More on me in future posts heh :D

Few sessions since I posted, played at least twice maybe three I don't know. I've hit pigbeater again and I have hit flip ripwalk, worked on flip stepping and the form of my clipper, I think my clipper is too far away from me and it makes stepping harder on my strong side. I've hit few new stuffs on strong step like blizzard, stepping ss mirage, sidewalk plus blur and ripwalk are feeling lot easier now. I've put some atomic bsos for the first time midstring, I was happy, but atomics are so hard after anything.

Thx to both for reading,

for the osis, it haven't really progressed since we talked, I plan on dedicating a whole session to them soon. Prolly a part of that session would go to clipper and butterfly, their okay, but not as good as I want them.

Ah, well a nice drill for Osis is Butterfly>Osis>SS Butterfly>Rpt.
Just try and get as many contacts as you can out of that, I won't set a number because I know you'll drill the hell out of it.

sometimes i try far osis>ss clipper>ss osis repeat over and over again. Its simple, but it works some style.

Thx to both, but my osis are REALLY sucky and I can't do these things for now heh, but I worked on them today with Ianek ( mostly strong ) and I had very controlled osis, before they we're always rolling on my feet. For the first time I think I would almost have been able to freeze it. That's good, planning on drilling them soon.

Apart from that, I had a good session ( mostly drilled stuffs ), for the few shred that I had I've put some atomic midstring. Stepping ss clipper bsos, a string of 15-20 contacts with like 8-9 pixie sets, it was the first time I was putting so many in the same string, felt really good! Oh and a dimwalk > near pickup > rpt 10 contacts, was good but I stupidly dropped on my near pick-up, I'm sure if I really try I could beat that np. Had a lot of fun today it was the first time I was having a whole session only with Ianek, it was very fun and we talked a lot. It's funny because everytime I talked to him about something that's in my mind about my game he tells me he had the same problem a while ago, we really are the same type of player and we have similar skills and strenght ( his skills are just REALLY more developped than mine, miles away from me heh  ).

Edit :

And I've hit quantum legover few times and they felt pretty easy, the highest was almost chest high. I havent tried any other moves but I need to try toe blur tomorrow.
