Scientists--a cabal in our sport? I think so.

Kick back and relax. Anything that does not have to do with footbag goes here!

Are you one of them? (physicist, biologist, chemist, mathematician, cognitive scientist, etc.)

She blinded me with science!

Scientists--a cabal in our sport? I think so.

Post by Dohovenus »

I'm conducting a poll to see how many of our beloved brothers are filthy, wretched scientists (or are little dirty scientists who want to be ones when they go to college). The idea is this:
-Footbag is played largely by people who are highly educated in some field of science, and/or
-Footbag is played largely by people who are highly educated in general, and/or
-Footbag theory is developed by people who are highly educated (~ in some field of science), and/or
-Footbag players think it's cool to throw around terms that they don't understand but have heard used by Lt. LaForge (with all due respect), or
-I don't know what I'm talking about

P.S. In case you're offended, I love science. I am filthy. FILTHY!

Discussion Questions:
1. Has anyone hit Quantum Flux? If so, major props.
2. Has anyone named anything "Tacyon Field?" Explain.

wow this is pretty funny, cuz Trojan; The Iron Horse, (an other member of the Hip-hop crew i'm a part of) made a track called "Science", in which he raps about the periodic table, physics and all sorts of things and how he will never need to use them. It's a funny song, i'll see if i can post it some where.

Personally, I think footbagers are largely played by people with some form of artistic talent; illustrators, graphic designers, musicians, poets, etc. Well, I'm too tired to bring up any examples to back my statement up...but one more comment before I crash...

Dohovenus, when you say footbag, do you reffer to the entire sport or freestyle specifically? Because I have known many circle kickers that are a few kicks short of a full hack, if ya know wut I'm sayin.
