I try to play at least 2 to 4 hours to maximize progress, about 5 or 6 days a week. There are times when I do an hour though, usually when im really tired..

Minumum of 6 hours a week.

In an optimal week, I'll play 1 hour the first day and then go for a run after, second day is 2 hours of footbag no run, and then after 6 days of that I have a rest day. On that rest day I am usually out doing something, in which I wear my lavers and play at the busstop or something.

I usually go 2 hours a day or more, 6 days a week. Plus 30 minutes or more of weight training every other day. Also make sure you drink lots of water it'll keep you nice and hydrated/cool so you can go for longer periods of time. And stretch after every session, and even on days when you don't practice.

The best thing you can do, is get a bunch of your buds at school to practice with you, play during lunch, waiting for the bus , ect. Just practice whenever and where-ever you can and don't get frustrated. You may struggle to do something at night, but the next morning, you pull out your bag and bam, land it. :D Keeping kickin' man

I play from 1-3 hours per session and I try to play 5-6 times a week, sometimes I'll do less depending on what I have going on. I also run everyday for cross training.

i used to practice 6 days a week, for somewhere between 1-4 hours. then i fell out of love with footbag, and now i'm back, but i have track after school, so i don't really have that much time anymore. i'd say i practice about 30 minutes, 3 days a week now, but i'm building back up.

I have training for a few months now, everyday and at least an hour everyday. I had to stop though; for a few weeks cause I rolled my ankle pretty bad.

To see continuous improvement I have to play at least, 9 hours a week.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

2-4 times a week, 1-2 hours every session. i do a lot of other sport like swimming, table-tennis, sometimes badminton and basketball, but footbag is still my focus. i think its better to take one day break between sessions and not play everyday, to let the muscles regenerate.

Right now I'm doing 5-7 sessions/week usually 1-2 hours. And it's not enough.
My ideal would be 12 sessions/week each lasting 2 hours. When the weather get's nice I will aim for this.

I usually play 3-4 sessions every week, most sessions lasting for about 3 hours. That seems enough to progress for me !

one more question:
do u guys go after a strict plan, e.g. 1 hour basic tricks, 1 hour revising hard tricks, 1 hour try to learn new tricks...?

when i got back into footbagging a couple weeks ago, i made new goals, each with 100 reps as my goal, i know i'll never get 100 reps for some of them, but it always gives me something to work on when i get frustrated with other tricks. that, and i work on challenges. it just depends on what you want to do and stuff, but you should definately make a challenge blog on modified. that 1 hour plan thing looks good, but don't stay on it too long, because it may get kinda boring. that's how i got driven out of footbag for about 3 months. spend some time just shredding, too. that's where the fun is at  although you probably want to get the basics down real good first. and that's all i got.

I try to do at least a 15 mins of drilling basics at the beginning and at the end of each session, for the rest, I'm usually shredding and trying to link stuffs.

I bag about 6 days a week, and the sessions depend on the days I work, but at least 45 minutes a day, and somedays 2 hours. So like 6+ hours a week. I usually have 1 trick set in mind each session and practice it for like 30 minutes straight

wow, i'm suprised so many people are playing as much as they do.

I don't really have a routine. Sometimes i'll shred all day long, and sometimes i'll just get buisy and take a break from footbag for a while. I try to average it out to an hour a day though. I usually just work on my my game with shred and random drills. But once in a while i'll screw around trying hard stuff.
