What is what I have inside my footbag?

Post by Shredinger Z »

Hi, I had a question..

One of my friends went to last worlds and he bought me a footbag... is the best footbag I've ever had, very soft ultra suede, but what makes me crazy is the filling.
I know that is filled with metal.. but to the touch.. looks like sand; since I play with it.. it never have rolled over the lavers on a delay...I don't know if there is any type of sand made from steel or plumb for filling footbags but for me is the perfect filling...

If there is any type of metalic sand.. how is it called? where can I buy it?

- Why do you play footbag?

- Because every time I go to a session, I go home with just enough small success experiences for me to come back next time... "Rasmus Rendsvig (Denmark)"

Its probably a combination of seed bead and shot. Seed bead can be bought at Michael's, and shot can be bought at ballistics or bass pro shop.

It could be a Footfighter with the old filler. I know my first impressions of the filler was that it was something more than just rocks and lead, but I think it was the color coating on the rocks that caught me off guard. :P

The surest way to find out is to ask your friend whom he bought the bag from; it was likely acquired from the stitcher himself/herself. And even if that stitcher doesn't post on modified a lot, the community could probably tell you what you want to know just based on the stitcher.

I know Petr Brocka uses some of the finest lead pellets I've seen for filler, and I know he was selling bags at worlds. I got two of his and I'm mad for them. I hope that helps
