There should be more intermediate events, I think.

All of the ones they have in Open. Maybe not have them as important, but I believe everyone should have the same events.

I wouldn't mind paying the same price open players pay to do that.

I've been playing for 9 months. How many people can get in open in 9 months?

EDIT: I guess it will be a year and two months by the time of August, but still. I think that was a rude thing to say.

Worlds isn't the place to be self conscious. Let loose! There will be players of every skill level. Learn as much as you can, ask a lot of questions -- and kick with whoever you want! Seriously, I would never turn down a player entering my circle and I know a lot of the other pros are the same way.

There is no 'qualifying' to compete in Open. Why not take a chance and even find out your world ranking!!
You'll get way more respect from the other players, and will learn a lot more about competing in general.

Get your money's worth. :)

Putting yourself in open when you aren't open is stupid in my opinion. You aren't learning anything by getting kicked out first round.

The two conflicting posts above by two great players reinforces my belief that an intermediate division makes no sense when there are no standards or qualifications for an open bracket. Footbag should either get rid of intermediate or figure out a better system of ranking players.

Time you could have spent practicing.

Forget big tricks, as long as you can do easy shit for 2 minutes without dropping. you'll place ahead of the majority of open players. Just do kicks and toe stalls to the music.

Luckily competition is only like.. a brief flash of action relative to the big long week of shred and fun, don't stress too much about it.

I am pretty terrified of routines, I will compete again since it is kinda fun having all your superheros watching you show what you came up with.

Also, I think circle comp is a good way for everyone to get involved. David, please leave out your obligatory negative remark about circle please.

Note: If you are coming after the First Check in please watch footbag.org event information for late registration and the beginning of Freestyle (Monday or Tuesday August 13 or 14) Last Net check in (and check in for all) will be Saturday Aug 11.

The Worlds 2007 official travel agent is online and ready to help you
with room reservation, air travel discounts, rent a car and theme park
tickets.

Anthony Travel, will be acting as our travel agent.
They have been working with Disney for years and works with most of the
sporting events at the Disney sports complex.

Go to: http://www.anthonytravel.com/disney_footbag07.cfm
Follow the menu and instructions on our travel web page.

Anthony Travel will help with:

Room reservations:
We will be staying at the Disney Allstar Sports Resort on the campus of
Disney World. We can reserve rooms for $65 per night with up to 4
occupants per room. These rooms can be reserved at this price from
August 8th to August 21st. If you plan on reserving any rooms before or
after the event dates (Aug. 11-18), you must verify that rooms are
available. It would be nice if everyone reserved rooms though Anthony
Travel because we have blocks of rooms reserved and the accounting of
those rooms will be easier.

Note: There are many other Hotels available in the nearby area if you
have a problem with the Allstar Resort or want a kitchen or something
different. Anthony can help you with that also or search the internet.

Air Travel:
Air Travel can also be reserved though Anthony by calling an agent and
talking out your situation. If your club or combination of nearby clubs
have more than 10 players coming, you want to mention this and a 10% to
15% group discount is available.

Note: I would also look at the internet for flights. You may find a
better deal.

Rent a Car:
Discount Car reservations are available.
Note: Also check other, if you have one, discount memberships like AAA
for possible discounts.

Airport Transportation to Disney Resort:
Disney's Magical Express will be available to bring you from the airport
to the Allstar Resort and back after the event. You need to reserve
your place on the bus when you reserve your rooms. It is not automatic.
These reservations need to be made before July 5, 2007.

Disney World Park Tickets:
We have special summer discount tickets for all the theme parks in
Disney World. There are several different packages depending on how
many times you want to go. Read carefully.
Note:You need to be part of this event to be eligible for this discount
as a player, staff member or volunteer.

QUESTIONS?
Please call Anthony Travel at (800) 736-6377.

I hope this helps everyone find discounts for travel and the ability to
come to this years IFPA World Footbag Championships.

This is going to be a blast.

Plane tickets for me and Evan are purchased.

Why does it have to be so long from now? I'm a little too excited already.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.
