Ouch. :x Well either way, your game is spectacular considering your injury.
I'll definitely look around for that one though.
We'll have to do a bit of shred to Nightwish at World's. 8)

I just checked the website; they will have a new single released on the internet on May 30th, and on the same day they will announce the identity of their new female vocalist!

(And a new album in September!!!)

Oh sweet. Heh, I didn't even think of the website... :x
Well, we'll see if their new vocalist can amount to Tarja.
I honestly hope she does, however much I loved Tarja's singing, because they're a great band. Would be a shame if they went down the toilet.

He plays the keyboards right?
Well, either way... I concur. They will kick ass either way. They are just too great to go down the toilet. :D

I listened to Once today on the Treadmill at the gym. I was singing along... well, trying to at least heh, and got some funny looks. They just can't understand.

Shred: Saturday, March 10:
Managed to squeeze into the end of the weekend shred's closing session after work today at Paul's place (just across the street from me). His place is nice. We ended up playing outdoors on the tennis quarts on his roof with my building and the CN tower in the background. It was really nice. There was like this once dry area surrounded by snow and puddles -- sweet.

I'm really tired.
We played like 5 hours yesterday. It was messed up. We basically thought we would perform around 7:30-ish and it ended up being 11:30. Johnny missed it completely, and even Josh and his crew couldn't make it that late. We had four circles worth of shredders are one point. The show last night was okay. I played so bad on stage; it's kind of pretty sucky. The lighting in that place was sooo frustrating. It was okay on stage, but after an hour or so with the near-pitch black and flashing lights I was so used to playing crap. Then we got home around 3ish, or so? Got about 3 hours of sleep and woke up for work at 6ish or something, and then a full day of work, full afternoon of shred, and then it's, like, almost 5 in the morning now...
I had a sweet highlight from today. Actually I played okay today, as far as some nicer moves are concerned (runs weren't great). I had some old school stuff really close. Neat things I've hit ages ago, but are still cool for me:

-Dimwalk > fog [repeat]
-Smog > symp pixie [repeat]
-Blurry rev whirl > step rev whirl [repeat]
Maybe more?
I also hit 2 new 6 adds, which are pretty rare 6s. This was my true highlight:

-Reverse montage
-Spinning ducking double legover

My shin splints didn't bother me this weekend much! It was WICKED. I think my insoles really kicked in. Yessss. I just spent a nice entire evening up until a bit ago with friends too, which was nice.

I get back to Toronto either in late June, or late July. How long are you going to be living there?

Also, that muffin video scared the crap out of me.

Sweet man. It's a good thing that Reverse Whirls don't kill your knees and hip like Whirls do. Props on those 6's too!
Spinning Ducking Double Legover is pretty sweet. Can you do Double Spinning Double Legover?

Thanks guys :)
(I think Paul Agostinelli hit either rev montage rake, or at least rev whirlwind rake in the same circle when I was trying).

I was just looking through all of the footage I have on my computer, mostly of finished videos that I put online and I'm getting really excited that maybe I have enough to fill a DVD! I'm going to work on that, because it's awesome. I have so many other footbag projects on hiatus (right word?) at the moment, but this just really peeked (right spelling?) my interest! Making DVDs is so much fun. I want to do some neat menu stuff like Jere in BOTS.

That's all.
I'm going through a list of videos, and their lengths, that will be in it.
I guess other projects I still plan to do some day are:
-KICKASS 2 video -- about 59 gigs of GOOD stuff (about half or more is Cleaver + Flash)
-Hackrifice 2005(???) -- about 6 untouched tapes of tripod footage...
-Beginner's guide to footbag -- filmed and captured video
-F.A.T. 2007 -- 2 or 3 tapes so far (maybe wait until outdoor sessions)
-Film new move demos for website (back home with spot light and back drop)
-Canadian Breakdance Championships performance (capture and post 1-minute video...)

And looking through these older videos has me stoked to make a Hackrifice Summer 2007 video when I get home!!!
EDIT: Oh yeah! Josh's blog reminded me that we got our FAT shirts on the weekend. They are sweeeet! I will post a picture whenever I remember. I have lots of footbag stuff stuck in the back of my head...
EDIT 2: 81 minutes of old videos for the DVD!!

Eric I gotta say that you have come a long way to get to where you are now, and that is emulatable. Those are some big tricks your doin and I know you got style. After you got injured did you think you would ever shred this hard?

Well, I hoped that I would be able to heal completely. That didn't happen, and after a while I kind of gave up on playing at all, so I'm super stoked about where I am. I'm just leary about how long it's going to last (being able to play).

The DVD will cost as much as it costs to send it to whoever wants. I don't really want to "sell" it. I have to work out some minor problems some time, though, like some of the links don't highlight, when they should, so you don't know what you're selecting...

Shred: March 20, 2007:
(So OCD that I had to come back and edit in my bolded thingy)
Wicked session tonight. I videotaped.
Here are some highlights:
-atomic reverse whirl > blurry reverse whirl [both sides]
-ripwalk > blur > atomic rev whirl [repeat] (minus the last one...)
-stepping rev whirl > blurry rev whirl [repeat] (finally!) -- both spinning rev whirls same run, I think?
-alpine blurry rev whirl [rolled off flip]
-gyro DLO > pixie clip [both sides] (sooo close to the drill, with diving clipper at the end of each)
-Ripped warrior > ripwalk > ripwalk > blurry ducking neck snag [both sides]
-Spinning DLO > eggbeater [kept rolling off good side...]
-far rev whirl > rev whirl [repeat] x 2.5 (never really tried more than once before)

More stuff, but gotta go now.

EDIT: Thanks Dave. You always give me the best compliments.
I thought a would add a little non-footbag bloggage in the spirit of Dave Clavens.

My routine is bi-weekly shred with Mike Faille, though this was the first in a week and a half, due to him messing up his ankle (on a reverse whirl, I might say -- Jon Haber, on Sunday, pointed out that I've brought them to Toronto... although I never really did them before I was here... but it's spreading...).

So usually, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Mike will come over after work, about two blocks away, at around 9-9:30. I come home from work around 8ish, and without fail (except, like, once) there's a PM on Modified from Mike. I think this past week we hung out instead of footbag even despite the injury. We started a new routine of pool and bubble tea (which I weened onto him) and then Chinese food, of which we always order #78, #65, and for me #163 + 111B, but that's getting ahead.

We get ready, gear up, and head to the parking garage where we can walk to my rec centre across the street without exposing ourselves to the 30-second walk through the cold. I get 8 guests a month at the rec centre, which is sucky, but also perfect, because twice a week for a month = 8. Sometimes they don't count, we think, but when I have another guest it just messes up our whole routine. Mike likes to avoid playing pool there for free because it uses up a day of footbag.

We usually shred from 10-ish, or just before, right up until midnight, when the grumpy concierge tells us to clear out, or the nice girl tells us to have a nice night. Then we usually relax for a bit; sometimes I go right for posting my highlights in my blog. Then there's a bit of fluctuation where we either watch a movie (invariably Lone Wolf and Cub, for a while there) and try to go out wandering for food, or now that we've learned better order something in... or another more popular option recently, to go out to Swatow (rated the best Chinese in Toronto), which is just down the street, and usually open until around 2:30 at least, and order our numbers.

Actually, that's about it.
But it's pretty routine.
I guess sometimes we (Marita, Mike, and I) also end up at Mike Faille's, which I love, and watch a movie, or anime, until 5 in the morning. Mike's is so wicked. I geek out when I get to look through his drawings, and comic pages, and the current paintings sitting on his drawing table. I also geek out at his comic and art book collection.

My goal is to be like Mike Faille.
I'm going to go draw now.

Oh yeah, I don't know if I mentioned shred on Sunday with Jon Haber. It was fun, though the shred was so frustrating and sucky. Andrew Weglarz came out though!!! ....to sleep on my sweaty towel. I was very excited to add my current quote to my signature. It's really funny if you were there. Umm, we also saw 300, like, the same day that we shredded at Paul Agostinelli's house. It was wicked, and I might see it again soon at Imax, I hope, with Marita's sister.

K that's all for real now.

Shred: March 22, 2007:
-gyro DLO > rev whirl [repeat]
-blurry rev whirl > spinning ducking clipper [repeat]
-spinning DLO > same rev whirl [repeat] (rolled off a million times both sides)
-far rev whirl > step rev whirl [repeat] (though I've done it before), and, like, spin rev whirl BSOS

Umm...
OOOHHH!!
NEW SIX ADD:
FLIPSIDE SPINNING DUCKING DOUBLE LEGOVER!!!! (like, second try ever, or something. Flip spinning ducking mirage > handcatch > flip spinning ducking DLO  )
Flip rev Montage would have been easy, but I forgot to complete my attempts. Ripped Warrior > ripped warrior felt like I would have it after like a handful of tries, but we modified our biweekly routine (awesomely!), cutting short the shred:
Hot tub and swimming
