Introduction..?
Hello... My name is Eric! Obviously, i'm a beginner... i live in cali and have really been into this for a few weeks now. (not long i know... but i'm committed! this is amazing..) i ordered a mr. sandbag and was amazed at the difference it made.. So, i just wanted to introduce myself and try to immerse myself in the community. One of my other friends has shown an interest, but i'm not sure if it will last :/ it would be nice to find someone better that could help me with my fundamentals. What's better than a live example, right?

Welcome Eric,
Luckily for you there are lots of players in California, but since it's a big state, they're kind of spread out. What part are you from? I'm actually going to be in Irvine (I guess that's near LA) next week for business, not sure if that's anywhere near you but I am definitely looking for ppl to shred with and I am happy to teach beginners just as much as shred with seasoned veterans.
Good job on getting a mr. sandbag, that is definitely the best beginner freestyle bag bar none. Also, you should consider getting some Adidas Rod Laver shoes (as per recommended on the various FAQs) those will provide an equal boost to your game (you can read about why in the FAQs).
A good way to track your progress is to start a footblog on the footblog section. I'm guessing since you lurked here for a little while before your first post you know that most n00b questions already have answers somewhere, so use the search the key, that will be a huge asset for you.
Good luck and play hard

Such a warm welcome :) lol
yeah... i know about the search function. i've been doing alot of reading since i've become interested in the sport. i've looked at the prices for the adidas Rod laver, and i think i've found a decent deal.. Just have to wait for the money lol. Hopefully it's soon, because last night i ripped my vans playing in my kitchen.. i can't believe it. $40.. Lasted only seven months. i knew i was paying for the name though, i'm not fooling myself. :/
i live somewhat near irvine.. i live in bellflower.. Which is near Cerritos, Lakewood. Irivne would be around a 45 minute drive. i could take the bus (and would have to, i'm 17 and without a car.) So, give me some details and i'd be endlessly grateful for you to show me anything. i've yet to see someone really shred in person.
Yacine Merzouk's "Style is forever" has been my inspiration thus far.
I'll definitely start a footblog. If for nothing else, just for my own personal way to look at my progress. Anyway, thanks for the advice and the welcome.. you'll definitely see me around
