what did the 5 fingers say to the face? SMACK!!!!! lol... no im kidding. this is the promise ring i got!

shred was nice today. im glad im working on making my tricks solid, rather than trying to advance quickly. i think this will help me out in the long run. ive decided im gonna compete at worlds... hell, why not?

we shredded at the skatepark...
sometime during the middle of the shred, a black guy drove up with a ps (edit: pa system) system on his car and invited anyone who wanted a free soda to his car. the catch was he wanted 5 minutes of their time. so there he stood, preaching the word of god to these sweaty skaters who only wanted a soda. you know, i try to respect people who are passionate about their beleifs... but this man made me want to spit on him. i didnt go over to his car for a couple of reasons: a) i dont want to drink soda when i shred b) i dont want to "be blessed" with the word of god c) i felt like this man was taking advantage of the heat, just to get his message out. well, since he was on the pa system, i didnt have the choice of ignoring this man. i footbagged there for 5 minutes, listening to this man explain how jesus died for everyones sins. i was so pissed, i couldnt hit a damn thing (also i suck, but i was so pissed i couldnt even mirage) so i just went for a jog. thankfully by the time i got back, he had put down his microphone.

i guess what im getting at, is if this man wanted to preach, he could have shown some respect for the people who didnt go over to his car to get a soda. instead, the entire skatepark had to listen to his rant on jesus' love. i dont call myself christian, because i dont really believe that jesus did miracles. i believe he did wonderful things for people, but i have some beliefs about the gospels in the bible and the roman catholics picking and choosing which gospels were worthy blah blah blah blah. i feel i have the right to believe what i believe, without some man yelling that if i dont believe in jesus then im going to hell.

i dont believe in damnation just because i dont believe jesus was the son of god.

im sorry for this religious rant. everyone has the right to their own beliefs without criticism - thats the message im tryinig to get across.

and chris, tecnokicks dont really count as footbags... just like crochet hackysacks and prokickers dont count. i guess thats rude to mark, but my personal opinion is that his bags arent quality at all and i dont understand why youd buy so many if you could buy a couple good footbags.

uh oh! prokicker bashing are we? okay okay... so the freestyle bags aren't that hot, however, the net bags are fantastic. regardless of the quality of the bags, yves not only sponsored the tournament, he actually flew from Montreal to compete - that's almost 1,000 miles of travel. say what you will about the freestyle bags, just be sure not to bash the prokicker name & show some respect to footbag the hall of famer yves "nuts & bolts" archambault.

Perhaps reading the words she wrote will prevent you from making yourself look silly next time.

She was dissing Technikicks, the bags that Mark Telman makes. I havn't played with any of his but they looked okay in Chicago.

Go brian and holly!

Sweet ring Holly! It's so shiny. 8O

I understand where youare getting at with your rant though and I agree. I'm no longer a believer, though I can't really say that I ever was, and I certainly don't like hearing people give their religious rants when you don't want to hear it. It's just rude, especially if it's apparent that the person does not want to listen to it. But meh.

I'm glad you're progressing! You're definitely a solid willed player. That's a great thing to be. Don't let the bag hold you back! 8 D

lol, i wasnt bashing prokicker. sure, it makes for a good net bag, but keep in mind i dont play net... i play freestyle. theyre not good for freestyle. im thankful that yves was willing to sponsor southeasterns, im not saying anything bad about him or his kindness.

i have two tecnokicks, and they have more corners than a cube. sure, hes going to take his best looking footbags to chicago...

thanks for the support alan and mosher... and im really happy you read this stuff, elliot!

yeah i know that you weren't personally bashing yves, but i don't want prokicker to get a bad name either. yes, i read a couple of the footblogs, although it's  for me to actually admit it. if it's footbag & in the SE then i'm probably paying attention. so just remember if you say anything bad about about net.... i'll be there

hey juggleville is over now, so the vandy kids are playing outside on the alumni lawn on sundays. are us jugglers too nerdy for you guys to hang out with? you'd rather kick with skaters & jesus pushers? yeah it's really tough out there with all the jesus gangs roaming the streets of nashville. ah, life in the buckle of the bible belt.

we are friends, elliot. friends stand up for friends, even when its not needed. you ask us to go to juggle meetings... and we went to 2... but why havent you come to a shred with us? youd think that would be a high priority, considering the amount of footbaggers in nashville.

a remake of a lonn bag. i might make another one sometime and give it to henry, since he gave me that lonn bag.

add on peice. wont be finished for a while. waterguns are in the future.

i have an idea for hollybag business cards, which involve the woman in my avatar (anne bonny). she was a pirate that dressed as a man, since female pirates are against "the code". look her up on wikipedia... shes the shit and the main reason why i love pirates so much. she defined all hard-ass women.

i did some math, if i finish 2 bags a week until worlds, then ill have about 40 bags. realisticlly, ill probably have 30... but only time can tell.

-if you were wondering, the cohiba box in the top picture is my footbag box. my dad snuck in cuban cigars from alculpulcco (i cant spell) and i took the box

i go to court thursday, and hopefully that will be the last of it.

solo shred on friday. session at the skatepark on saturday.

i ask you guys to come to juggling sessions cause it's downtown which is your neck of the woods anyway; plus during the winter, i thought it would be a nice gesture to offer you guys a place to kick indoors. i'm not interested enough in freestyle to travel to nashville for that purpose alone, just like your not interested enough in net to travel to the burbs. also for future reference, elderly gentlemen like myself tend to scoff when a teenager attempts to give them general advice about life. sigh* as long as the emoticons have such a limited range, i'll never be able to truly express myself.

im glad youve invited us in the past. but also, remember ive came to murfreesboro multiple times, and ended up playing net because the freestylers werent there. we went to the juggle thing a few times, and that was cool, but we felt like the odd ones out. it was cool to have an indoor spot.

i guess its just ease of destination and the group of people we feel comfortable with. i like you, and wish we shredded more elliot. but until you put your lavers back on...ill see you then.

anyways, youre always welcome to come and shred. its almost always on fridays, at the two rivers concrete skatepark. @5. (this is also an invite to anyone who will shred with us!)

not too much footbag this week, and shred is planned for friday. (weather permitting).

new yoyo, black espionage from yyf. i love it, but it hates me. cut a deep gash in my thumb trying to grind. wont do that again. also, new (used) yo, difeyo tank. needs new pads, so its slippery right now. getting kentaros (present from holly!) soon.

wooo yobag!.

i recieved the pink ultrasuede in the mail today! it looks great, and you were definitely right, its a great feeling color as well. much much appreciated.
any sign of the purple yet? its in a bubble wrap envelope not quite twice the size of the one you sent me (when i got yours i wished i had an envelope that size), with two stamps on it, clean and clearly addressed, just so you know.
at any rate, if it does not arrive by...i guess next wednesday, i will send you another rectangle of the same size. keep me updated!
thanks again,

i wish i wer keeping that lonn bag remake... but its going to a guy in portugal.

a lesson you can learn from me, instead of finding out the hard way: never get a dui.
its been 9 months since i was pulled over, and the court part is finally over. ive been charged with driving under the influence. my bac was .16, and the legal limit is .08 so i was double, not to mention im 19 yrs old. whats happened is they took my license... but im able to apply for a restricted one. if i apply for restricted i have to pay all the fines and get sr22 insurance. on top of that i have to get this thing called "interlock" installed in my car... which means ill have to take a breath test in order to start the car. very pricey. im on unsupervised probation, so i just call my po once a month to check in. thats nice. i have to do 24 hours of jail time. 24 hours of community service. take an alcohol safety class. take a m.a.d.d. class.
all of this is going to cost me over $3,000.
never drive under the influence.

haha, i have to do my 24 hours jail time on 4/20. what irony!! oh well, i want to get it over with.

needless to say, im disappointed in myself. these last 9 months ive been able to prove to myself that i can be a better person, but now it seems like i have another year of greif. im really down, and the hardest part is that its all my fault.

looks like brians the one whos gonna be driving for a while.
