Montreal Windchill: After Hours

Post by Mathochist »

I'm completely stoked about going to my first pure net comp and seeing Yves and Manu and J.F. and Eric and all the other awesome net folks who'll be there.

But I can't help but indulge in some freestyle with all the talent in that area. I'm sure I'll get to shred with Sebastien again. Who else is in? (March 31 - April 1)

Well I may not be what you consider ''all that talent'' but I would love to shred with you anyways! I'm sure others will say the same.

You might not cross many freestylers in the net tournament for some reason.

Just let us know if you pass by in montreal. We shred on saturday most of the time.

You freestylers should go and show support to the net players, who are actually the best net club in the world. Do not support the disconnect between freestyle and net- it is a dis-service to our sport.

I only pointed the fact he will not meet all the freestylers at the tournament, but might find a few.

There is no point arguing about this subject any longer.

Montreal is the only place where there seems to be little unity between the net a freestyle. Windchill should be a tourny for both aspects.

There is no unity at all between Freestyle and Net in Montreal.

Aww, man, I didn't mean to start a thread that would get sour. :?

I totally support Senor Grommet's sentiments of solidarity. Huzzah! That said, I actually have no qualms at all with Windchill's being a pure net event. I've been to pure freestyle events and loved them. I've been to events with both facets and felt unduly stretched athletically. Montreal boasts the best assembly of net players this side of the Rio Grande, and they train hard enough at being the best that I don't feel they need to cater to us freestylers. As such, I knew I wouldn't encounter many freestylers at the event itself; indeed, that was the entire point of this thread. So, thanks to all who have responded so far. I look forward to meeting and kicking with y'all next weekend. :D

Love, Rob

Ok, I am in Montreal now. I think that tomorrow, Friday, sometime in the evening would be a great time for me to shred, as I'll likely be with the net kickers the rest of the weekend. If not, I'll make it a priority to be at whatever's going on Saturday. Someone please leave me some contact info so I can confirm details with you, or PM me at least. I am staying tonight with Yves, so you might contact me here.

Thanks, see y'all soon, I hope!

I'll be shredding at Place des Arts from 1PM to 3PM tomorrow.

No idea about the other players since most of them work day shift.
I work evening shift...

You might see some players over the weekend, I beleive some of them will go see the net tournament, (Marc or/and Seb I assume). Don't take my word for it, just what I believe...
