GOOD TRADES
GOOD TRADES
I`m having some trades last time but I`m having some troubles with some trades. In fact is very frustrating when you send a bag to somebody and he/she never send you a bag back to you.
So I dont want to make a bad list of trades ( people that never send the trade bag)
I prefer to make a list of cool trades, and we can know who really send his/her bags for trades...
julien cotè awesome bag, very soft cool color combo
lyon tan nice stitch it arrives really fast, nice bag pattern

well I sended last week a lot of bags (both trades and gift) for Felix zenger, richie abshire, pyroman, Isilwar, and to eskimo. The idea of this topic is that you can know what people make trades and what people think about his/her trades. And yes I know sometimes shipping is so slow, but there`s some guys that never write to say you : "Hey I finally sended you mine bag".
I always send mine bags ain`t wait to receive the other bag first and I write to say I send your bag.
In exmaple: I traded with holly, and she wrotte me : I send your bag... Thats cool, I believe it cause she takes some time to confirm it, and Damn I will have a holly bag
Richie wrotte me too to say hey I send your bag... cool.
and I can`t wait to get my new abshire

I'm reliable on trades. It's sponsoring bags that usually gets to me, since scheduled tournaments often times interfere with my schedule. If people buy a bag or set a trade with me, I do my best to make the transition as quick and efficient as possible. That's my guarantee.

I may take an awful long time to send you a bag, but if I agree to trade with you, I'll get it to you eventually. If it's taken too long, prod me a bit with a PM.
People I know are always good on trades when they've agreed to do it:
- Marco Hartig
- Brian and Holly
- Waylon
- James Hermey
- Ben Roscoe
- and pretty much anyone on the stitcher's contact list are good for trades as long as they agree to it
People I've had bad experience trading with (and I know have a history of unhappy traders):
- Garrett Dryden
- Elliot Mowle (Mowley)
I believe there are more good reliable traders than there are bad. Trading amongst modified's members has mostly been positive experience for me.
I believe that if you're a newer stitcher trading with an experienced stitcher, you should send your bag first since you have less credibility. I almost always send my bag when I've received yours unless you're someone I've traded with in the past.
I like this thread though. It's a good idea.

-Travis
Beautiful bag, very consistant stitching, very nice feel to the filler, sets great, displaced weight
A very special thank you to you all for being so welcoming, and also to Alejandro and Mr. Brocka who agreed as well. Sorry for the delay in yours Alejo. I have been too busy with work and travel. I will write a quick review for Alejo and Brocka when I get their bags.

I should put in my input (let's see if I remember correctly):
Josh Raye - Reliable trader. I've done two trades with him. They came in time.
Pengpeng Du - I usually keep in close contact with her through PM concerning footbag business. Only one trade, I think, aside from buying several bags, one as a tester, and one as a birthday gift. Very reliable.
Mark Telman - He sent me a bag in this tiny white box in our trade; what was inside was this super durable plastic bag that contained this small 32 with his business card in it, and I thought that was pretty cute. He's pretty consistent concerning trades.
Holly Mathews - I got amatista facile from her for a 32. Amatista is a hot color which I'm still trying to find here in NYC. I should check the Fashion District in Manhattan... Oh! I stitched her a pretty keen bag. Consistent.
Brian Dennis - Consistent trader. He and Holly make good business partners in footbag.
Peter Brocka - This isn't reliable concerning time consistencies, but he sent me two 32s instead of one because he believed he was late in sending my paid order. He's a very generous guy. I stitched him a 32 to proposition a trade of goodwill in regards to this.
Matt Cross - We traded 32s when he visited NYC early this year for a Toy Fair. He was representing Wicked Vision. We drank good beer with our trade. I can guarantee he is reliable.
James Hermey - Very consistent. He's like 3-5 hours away from NYC. He also had a cute package to hold the bag in. What else can I say?
People I expect to be good people to trade with:
-Clavens
-Eskimo Joe
-Travis Iden
-Champagne
-Abshire
-Ben Roscoe

It looks like its been a while since anyone used this thread, but I think it's a good idea.
Let me think:
I did a trade with Jerab. He went above and beyond, a mentor for 32's
Not only did he send out two sweet 32's, three sheets of suede in great colors. I'm still using it!
Then there was gangsta, Louis. His ball came really fast! I know if he had to rescue someone in a chopper, he'd be there right away! Very nice bag, a mini 20p facile, and heavy even.
Although MC and I clash a bit, I think we were able to see eye to eye on our trade(s). I'm not sure what I sent him was anything more than an art piece, and meaning he would get nothing for his #170, he cut it apart my #5 to give me valuable tips on the inside of my bag.
I gotta say since then my pace on stitching has hit the brakes. I still work on projects, but with no sales happening with anything I make, it looks like I'm back to delivering food in NJ. I should be walking to vermont, but instead I'm trying to somehow gather the motivation to use the last, very best of my tread, some choice durable material and the best filler I can afford to give my work away to the kids at foot jam.
On a lighter note, Matt from Leicester, Kidzanshin made me a beautiful bag. I'm still waiting to update the *all star* photo. Fool sent me a bag, and it should be here after the weekend.
I know my work isn't like what you guys are doing. I guess I was just hoping one of you would give my style a chance. for those of you who turned me down, I hope you'll reconsider. For the small but great list above it means quite a lot that you would even recognize me.

someday Alejo and I will trade, but as I hear he is currently moving to Spain!
