Almonds

Post by QuantumBalance »

I, as well, have been an asshole many times. But, instead of apologizing for it, I will just try and be a better person. I do think that some types of people just don't get along though. Like myself and Moxie for example. One time I asked her how much debt she had. I asked because I was trying to learn about debt and credit and all that, but she took it as a personal question and got offended. I was offended that she was offended. Was she wrong? No. Was I wrong? I don't think so. I was being honest and open. The moral of the story is that some people won't get along because of their belief systems, values, etc. I have been angered many times by this or that. Most recently Clavens tried specifically to make me blow up and succeeded. Was he wrong? No. Was I wrong? No. But, would it be right of me, at this point and hopefully onwards, to realize discipline? Yes.... yes yes yes!

As long as I'm asking questions and answering them.

Is this a "useless thread?" Yes.

Can you learn something from it? Yes.

Let's all try and get along for a while... until the next time someone pisses me off. Just kidding.

Love,
Sam

Sam, this book helped me tremendously with getting along with people. I can't recommend it enough. I think you would find it extremely valuable and enjoy it a great deal. Everything in it is anecdotes and stories. It's very inspiring and fun to read.

i support the idea of trying to improve yourself over making repeated apologies that may or may not be completely sincere and almonds are pretty good.

I suggest a competition; who can provoke Sam to "blow up" first.

Claven's is a proven performer, but I think I'd put my money on Brad Kaplan, which is a little risky, since he doesn't read the forums much, but I'm expecting good odds for that bet.

No, I actually spent the last 8 days in fucking Mexico of all places without taking a drink. I fell in love with a little girl from Clarkston, Washington (Out there in the desert, Randell you might know of it it's on the border with Idaho in the Southern part of the state) and she didn't drink and I spent the entire time with her smoking a pack and a half a day. She didn't like that either, but it was fine, and their was actually these two pieces of art in the flea market that went together with a little Mexican boy in Poncho and Sombrero and all and with packs on his back smoking a cigarette, and the other piece to the left was a little Mexican girl looking discontently at him. If we would've had a couple hundred thousand Peso's we would have bought them and I would have taken the girl and she the guy, because it resembled us quite much.

Also, one night I was locked out of my room because my friend is a queer but in Cheer she is a back holder which means she lifts the standers from the back, and she lifted me up by herself! (With a little assistance from the wall) and I climbed onto this little roof and then scaled up a floor along the balcony to my room. It was totally fucking rad. Sobriety!!!!!!!

I'd agree, same with caffiene. Two pots of black coffee equal the effects of one medium sized line of blow. The fact is though, I didn't get sober to be some straightedge punk, I went to rehab to save my life. Or atleast... to kill myself slowly with cigarette's and not die at 25.

Yup, I just smoked my first cigarette of the day (Which is always the one that hits hardest) and I am definitely high right now.
