Flipsidedness in pro sports

Uh, I'm pretty sure there have been players who bat with either hand in baseball (MLB), but I've never heard of anybody pitching with both hands. That's why it was a big deal that a pitcher in college (in a good division) could do it.

Yeah I'd read this in some kind of "Funny Sports Stories" book while ago. if my memory serves correct thet story of the ambidextrous pitcher facing an ambidextrous batter dates back several decades (60s?)

I've always wondered what would happen if if they suddenly started going the other way around in speed skating. I mean that they can't possibly be as good at doing crossovers to the other direction if they only practice the other direction. If that's the way it is, it must be one of the most flipsided sports there is.
