I'm sorry to start a thread without a video for y'all, but I'm dying over here. I just got my new 80 gig iPod, the main planned usage was to expose random people to pro freestyle anytime anywhere. I even called ahead to make sure it would play .wmv and .avi files and such. They told me it would, so I bought it, and sure enough it won't. I called them back and asked what the heck was up, and they told me I need to acquire a converter to change the videos' formats to something the iPod will play.
So can anyone recommend some software that will do this for me? I'm dying to be in my weekly conversation of "What's footbag; is that like hacky sack?" and come back with, "No, actually, it's like this." and then just whip out my vids.

Videora owns. It's easy to use, you can figure it out. I use it for all of my ipod videos, from vasek to dvds to diggnation to torrent movies... it will probably bog your computer down though. Expect to not use your computer for about however long the video you're converting runs.

The answer to your question was easily attainable by searching for it using yahoo search, not Google. I despise google's search engine, but love them for their copyright infringments.
I did in fact try some web searches before I posted but all I could find were moneycost and trial varieties. I was hoping someone here would know of something free and nontrial I could use. Videora looks very promising, but I'm a new mac user and have problems with .exe install files. After giving up with the .exe business, I got smart and checked macupdate.com, where I found iSquint (www.isquint.org), which so far is doing everything I want and more.
