It's great beacuse it seems like it was just some random guy with a video camera in his phone who found him playing and asked him to do some stuff. I've always wondered what happens to the footage people shoot of us on their phones...

I hope I get to meet Vasek soon, he seems really cool and fun.

Vasek is really cool and nice. He is pretty quiet in most social situations for whatever reasons, but definitely partly because his english isn't super duper strong.

In Frankfurt this summer I challenged him to an arm wrestling match and he accepted. He kicked my ass, both sides!

I am going to get all pumped up so I can take him on again this year at World's.

I am glad Vasek isn't a big jerk.

Dude. Why would I idolize someone who sold their soul to the devil? That's like idolizing someone who won the lottery.

Vasek worked very hard to get where he did. What's wrong with having a hero who sets an example for success, someone who proves that with hard work, you can be number one? He's not just my hero in footbag, dedication is useful for all things in life. If he would have put all that effort into dancing, painting, or guitar he would undoubtedly be very good.

People like him have the valuable experience of success, from start to finish. No shit we don't 'have' to praise him. I, personally, want to. He deserves respect for his accomplishments. Why would you EVER tell someone not to give someone else praise? That's like saying, 'don't be nice to people', where do you come off saying that crap?

Is it because you aren't good at footbag, and you're jealous of Vasek? Jealous that YOU can't be anybody's hero? Jealousy's for bitches. Get over yourself, and if you're not going to offer props to anybody, at least don't be stupid enough to try and stop others.

Your statement that people were just people is true. People still are just people. If a friend of mine hits a new trick, I give him props for it. If a friend of mine started busting like Vasek, I would flip out and shower him in praise. So when Vasek busts like Vasek, I treat him as a person as well, and since I'm over flipping out about his skills, I settle for spreading his good name and praising him.

wow that second to the last paragraph sucked. you dont even know him. i dont think he was trying to stop others, but rather have you actually look at how weird youre acting. do you think vasek is the best because hes been #1 at worlds, or because you like his style most?

and there are a lot of people out there that are dedicated to footbag. vasek isnt the only one. there are a lot of people who give to the community, rather than just bust big. you shouldnt "praise" anyone, but maybe you should be thankful for the people who made footbag what it is today. if footbaggers just went to tournaments and didnt do much else, there would have been no way for you to find footbag. there are a lot of people working hard, dedicating their lives, and sticking their neck out for this sport.

of course vasek deserves respect for his accomplishments... along with all the other people who work hard at footbag. no one deserves "praise" but they all deserve support and congrats. "praise" is a strong word imo.

I think Vasek's the best because he's the best. I don't think he's the best because he is # 1 at worlds, or because of his style. He clearly has the most control over the footbag, highest difficulty strings, etc.

Of course, there are plenty of people who deserve respect for their part in the world of footbag. I pick a select few people on this planet to call my heroes, and for my own reasons. I used the word "praise" because that other guy did.

And yes, jealousy is for bitches. I didn't have to think that one up, biggie said it ages ago.

I think arnie shankman could have taken vasek. I don't know, it would have been a super close matchup though. I think arnie was a better toe to toe player than vasek, but vasek has a strong clipper game.

Too bad arnie got shot down by an asian gang or something. Witnesses said the shooters looked asian and they were speaking another language, they were pretty sure it was asian.

One time Arnie and I went fishing. We had the greatest time. We used oscar meyer wieners as bait and boy were they biting. I caught a 12 inch bluegill, I shit you not. Arnie wasn't so lucky. All he caught was a flat tire. I felt bad, so I threw my fish back so he wouldn't feel like he was inferior. We were cool like that you know? We laughed all day about he pronunciation of twitterpaited. Can you believe that? Then we played some gamecube as his house and kicked back a 6er of natty ice and watched the first season of family guy.
