I'd really consider using different socks, those ones one photo are thick. The thicker you socks are, the less room you have for bending your shoes for clippers.

15$ on ebay ..couldn't pass up a pair of casual shoes.....These make awesome casual shoes. Very comfortable and supportive.
The inside is a padded cotton thingy so... no real mods can be done except for splicing the toe box open. But, that's fine, for just a spur of the moment shred/kick session they'll do just fine.
bit warm for my liking but.. once the padding gets broke in they won't be so hot.
