I can't make it this year and I don't think Evan can either unless he somehow gets a lot of cash.

Professionals practice until they can't get it wrong.
No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

Hey,
I'm not sure if I will make it this year. Basically my winnings at Worlds funded me to go last time. Now that it's happening before worlds it's hard to say. Gonna be paying for most of my own schooling next September as well.
I also got booked for a gig on July 9th. Would definitely have to reschedule that.
So yeah, no promises but I'll try.

Red,
It was awesome that you were able to have the freestyle and the net (prelim) competitions at the same venue, and I hope that trend continues next year. BUT, it would even be cooler if the Freestyle finals and the Net finals were NOT scheduled at the exact same times. Last year I had to choose between them. I made a choice, and then later felt as if I had been robbed of something I really also wanted to see. If the finals for these events are timed differently, then freestylers could watch net and net players could watch freestyle. We need more integration of both worlds.
Hope to see you there.

WHAT??? The site is at Pioneer Square, the publicity will be off the hook, the shred will be even better this year, and people are saying that they won't be there?
If you have to chose between this and worlds, then go to worlds, I can understand that. But if you can, in anyway, make both, then do it. Save and beg/borrow/steal so that you are able to attend the US Open. Last year it was amazing, so do you think this year will be better? Of course! Red is working his ass off and recruiting the rest of Sole Purpose to help and this comp will be one to remember.

You are always welcome up here Aaron, we have been awaiting your return to the area for some time! Let us know what your plans are, we could always use another great shredder. I remember our sessions were always a blast. Come on up anytime, I would like to have you meet the new additions to the gang (the kids, as I call them). See you at the Open, or sooner, keep me posted.

This event is going to be a bit more expanded from 2006's format. Again we are offering all of the competitions of last year, but are also being more inclusive to the everyday "hacker", with a few more beginner/kicking events. My goal is to have the US Open be as all inclusive and accessible as possible. If your foot touches a footbag, I want you there. This year we are catering to not only the greater community, but the local community of kickers, for which there are a great many. If you want to learn more tricks, you certainly will have a chance to at the Open. It's hard not to pick up new stuff at events, and make new friends. Hope to see everyone there!
