Any one try these.

They look good, I ordered a pair going to try them out, I found black ones for like 40, not too bad. They might need some shoe goo or something on sole. I put them on in a store and they have a lot of support and they feel great, I didn't buy that pair because i knew that i could find a better price and color online I'll get to mod them in a week or two, give you guys a report.

I am by no means an expert, but the general consensus of the footbag community is buy lavers or gunits. I hope they work for you.

Assuming I am not a complete idiot (which may be wrong) I would say the following: I think the ridges on the outside may cause problems, and the toe walls look small.

It's all personal preference man. I'm not flaming you.

I doubt the ridges on the outside will cause problems, since they're on the outside.

They look better than most shoes, but I wouldn't buy them.

Clipper may be a concern. There's more of a gap on those shoes than Rod Laver/Nastase Milleniums imo, although there's more of a stable ridge for shoe goo in comparison. I would further discuss about CT300s and 520s, but I don't have much experience with them.

Toe box is fine.

Yah sick casual shoes! Obviously moddable toe box and the inside looks do-able. But, it depends on a couple more important factors. Like, the weight of the shoe, what type of material is underneath that leather, how flexable the shoe is, very important, because you don't want stiff shoes that take forever to break in or in worst case senario: don't break in enough at all. Might be a gamble but if you never try you'l never know. I had g-units but sold them, I have lavers but I prefer Adidas Nova. I got them at Winners for like $40 CAD on a major gamble, they turned out to be my fav. Good Luck and I really hope they work out!

There's sorta no point in 12 posts of people speculating and giving their opinion based off basically nothing.

As someone that has seen these shoes in the store, noticed they had potential and subsequently tried them on I can tell you this:

- they are totally modable, the clipper surface is SICK, you just need to remove a layer or two in the actual catch surface but the shape is amazing

- the toe is definitely serviceable, basic standard leather shoe mods will make it good

- the shoe is pretty light and well constructed with nice grip too

- $40 is a reasonable price, they were $90 or so at the store

This all said, I was actually tempted to drop some cash to try these, they do have potential.

Good luck and post pics of what you find under the leather.

Oh yeah, and in the arch there is this perforated leather that may be usable as the main catch surface if you rough it up.

I didn't want to post again until i got the shoe and moded it but i had to say that the sole was stiff but it felt like it would break in quickly. Heavier than units and lavers but not too heavy for freestyle, some padding might need to be removed for better crank. As I said in the first post they give much more support than other shoes and they have the air sole bubble things Nike is famous for, I'm really excited to mod these shoes and try them out.

When you guys are considering buying new footbag shoes, are you looking for shoes that are better than Laver/Units/Climas or are you just looking for those that might work?

I look for anything that will work, then I evaluate it and decide if any part of it is better than what we are already using.

Those pics don't do this shoe justice I think, no one can see there potential here. I have received the shoes and modified them, they are really good. I need to find a way to post pics but as soon as I do i will. The inside is great, just as good as anything else out there maybe better. The toe is a little weired, it is narrow, which is ok (I actually like it, it provides better control over sets makes the shoe feel more attached to your foot), and I cant seem to make the toe walls stand up, I am going to work on this see if I can fix it, I might have to cut them off. The shoe really feels like it's on your foot, with G-units and lavers your feet can move around inside the shoe, with these your foot moves and the shoe moves, this gives a lot more support and stability, when it comes to ankle and foot problems. I had a nice long session where i switched to G-units mid way threw, G-units are lighter for sure but not any better. If you are looking to try a new shoe with better arch support and better shock absorption then these are a great bet, with the dieing out of climas and g-units this shoe might just take there places as the new alternative to lavers. Yes, they're that good if you don't believe me ask Ian Brull and Waylon.

I had the honor of trying on Max Powers' when I was unexpectadely jonesing to kick last Saturday. Which is funny because I had literally just ran al around lower Manhattan to buy a pair that never ended up being modified.

They were 10 1/2's and I am 11 1/2. They had no insole so they fit at the center but my toes were bottle-necking and they were impounded each time I landed.

Even though my toes were wrangled for the rest of the night, I felt like I was on the top of the world because even without soles, having the support under the arch of my feet too off some much of the force that bothers my knees. I kicked agressively and wanted more, more, more. Of course that is the NYFA style. Long sessions, great times. One of the few reasons I miss NYC, besides the food.

I will buy at least a pair of these to try out.
