Broken Toe

Post by ShredEX »

Slipped down my brothers stairs this weekend driving the toes of my left foot with all my weight on them down 2 stairs 8O :(
As Im sure you all know nothing can be done for a broken foot but staying off it and following PIER (P)ressure (I)ce (E)levation (R)esistance. Well pressure on a broken toe makes it worse, icing has helped, havent really elevated it all that much I havent really been walking on it all that much so I have been resisting but the temptation to footbag is too strong, Im going to tape the toe and play through the pain schooling my left foot more than ever.

Rice and Pier systems are basically the same idea, Rice would work better on a larger bone that you dont use as frequently as your foot, you cant really rest a foot so treating it like a sprain is better suited.
As for imagining my toe being cut off that would be a whole different story and I would be using lots of ice. Ive heard predictions and theories that eventually we will not require a baby toe :?
