i have a range of ball bearing filled freestyle bags that, at present, come in at around 38mm and 35-38 grams, which is a bit light i reckon ... so when my new batch are produced, i am upping the weight.
can i get some preferences on the following two choices of weights ...
alot of people play with heavier bags because lighter ones don't stall well. If you can make a 40g bag that plays as well as a 60g bag, i'd be interested.
i find if a bag is larger size and quite heavy, and you have ankles with poor crank, the bag seeeeeeems to have a bounce-type effect that makes stalls sketchier. Its very possible that im just shit at footbag and the weight has no effect, but ive noticed it more with large heavier bags (like footfighter sized) the high weight creates this effect, whereas with smaller but heavy bags, the effect is not as pronounced.
I use a few bags that are 40-45, however, I prefer 50-65g. Most of my bags fall around 55-60g. Lighter bags are too floaty and don't preform well, aside from that, you can't feel the bag very well. I'd go with 50-55g if I were you mate.

i like my bags exactly 60 grams. i've tried a large amount of different weights in the range of 45-70 and 60 is definitely my preference. a Boston Shred Crew member requests the bags i make him be at least 70 grams. his favorite bag is a 4 panel thats like 70-75 grams.
i use bags 40-50. Makes no difference t me once there really broken in except the bag(s) last longer if there that light/heavy.

These are import bags that Lotus is talking about, he doesnt stitch them personally. So committing to one specific weight it important because they will arrive in bulk.
Everyone likes'em so heavy these days. I used to make mine super heavy, but I preffer 35-50g now. ...normally I'd say 35-45g, but I think my Mosher bag is 50g, and it's the best ever and I don't want to the change the filler at all. I do like'em lighter than most...
50 is standard weight for me. I think going to 60 grams is absurd and kills bags more often than helping people stall and feel the bag more (unless you stitch with strong fabric, then whatever). It really depends on how big your bags are after they're made. Bags smaller than a golf ball are good around 45>50 grams imo.
I think those glow-in-the-dark 32s are pretty cool, especially when you use that material on the hexes. I would definitely trade a bag for that, or get fabric of that nature for myself.

it seems fairly safe to assume that most freestylers are capable of adding filler to a purchased bag these days to up the weight. so with that in mind it's probs OK to go lighter, so long as there is ample space in the bag for people to up the weight if they so wish.
