If Kevin is willing to drive 12 total hours in his car, then the Montana Freestyle Jam is not optional for the Spokane shred scene (i.e. James). It would be a huge bummer if you couldn't make it, but I'm sure you'll find a way.

Kevin, sorry 'bout the scene at Finnegans yesterday. That cashier must have had a 3rd grade education and a maturity level to match. That's prolly the last time I eat there. If I'm in the mood for greasy diner food, I'll hit up the 4Bs next time.

This weekend's gonna suck though. I've got another presentation and another policy paper due next week that I haven't started on. I know I'm going to want to spend time outside now that the weather's nice, but I'll have to be couped up in my room writing. One thing is for sure, I'm going to want a shred sesh at some point to get my mind off of all this school related nonsense.

4 hours until my research presentation. I hope I don't blow it.

You did not make a scene at all. You got short changed. that cashier is the one that made the scene. Funny thing is that he used to be a lunch duty for my elementary school when I was at that age. He was my favorite lunch duty until yesterday.

Here's the scenario,
Riley gets short changed a dollar. The cashier was being pissy and after a few moments of contemplation gave Riley $1. I was up next to pay for my portion of the meal and the cashier starts bitching about how we didn't get seperate bills. We were going to pay on one ticket till we realized each of us had only a $20. The cashier forcefully threw my change onto the ground making me pick it up. He then lifted his high and mighty chin in the air at me. and was bitching to me on my way out.

I used to like Carl, now a think he's a douchebag. I left him an extra dollar anyway so he would mellow out a little.

Ran into my exgirlfriend from high school today. Had an enjoyable talk and are going hiking in Hamilton on Sunday. I predict this situation becoming very awkward after an hour when I run out of things to talk about.

only need four more psychology courses and two more philosphy courses to complete my major and minor. Only three classes that I need are offered next semester though. which leaves me currently at 9 credits, which puts my financial aid in jeopardy being how that's not full time student status. It should all work out in the end though. Pretty sure I'm freaking out for no reason.

James, I will definitely try and take my car over the Idaho pass to pick your ass up. If you're not coming to the jam, then that will knock the fun times down by 70%. You're the best non-missoula friend I've made through footbag and I really want you to come.

Well, I went and got a BRAND new wheel and tire yesterday from the pull and save junkyard for $10. Shitty thing is that it doesn't fit because I was looking for the wrong size. Then I had Alton Tires take the tire off of the wrong size rim and onto the original rim. (which they did it for free :D ) . Shitty thing is that my one tire is about an 1 1/2 inches taller than the rest now which is bad for my alignment and all that shiz.

I hope to go back to pull and save and get a couple of the right size tires tomorrow. My money situation is fucking tight right now. :?

Well my car is fixed, and I have a couple spare tires just in case something happens. Now all I have to do is pay off my cell phone bill and then the rest of my money is going towards MFJ. I should barely make it.

Since most everybody is staying at my house, It'd be great if I could get some assistance (groceries) for feeding the jam people and the afterparty.

I'm trying to get the girl's hockey team over to the place on the night of the 28th.

Rolled my ankle again, slightly. It's nothing major as it's just a little swollen. I was going for a swirling osis and just came down full force on the swirling leg and did a 180 twist off my ankle to the ground. I think the twist actually saved me from another lame ass ankle injury.

Earlier in the day I had a little shred. Wasn't feeling to on, my style felt sloppy and all over the place. I did manage a couple things like some new cool drills and moves and also just lowered my difficulty of move selection with lots of tiltless.

toe same symple swirling rooted clipper>rev walkover
then pixie rooted clipper>rev walkover
then pixie ducking rooted clipper>rev walkover

new drills:
butter>whirl>p mirage>rpt x3
spinning clip>mirage>ss clip>rpt x2
merkon>legover>ss clip>rpt

It was alright, nothing that good. I think I was exhausted in about 10 minutes. I'm just too chubby to play footbag now :P

ALSO NO SHIN SPLINTS! Why is it that I only get them in Montana? It makes no sense.

So what are the logistics behind this soup situation? I'd like to have something laid out at the house so the folks can grub as needed. Daryls's Quin-wah soup in Nampa was all kinds of tasty. Something like that would be fantastic. I love making soups of various kinds!

Blur is my new favorite trick...

After that 16-mile snowshoe expedition in the Rattlesnake on Friday and Saturday's footbag session, my shin splints decided to get real painful real quick. Yesterday I didn't leave the house they hurt so bad. Walking up stairs was painful. I talked to a friend of mine who said they won't get better unless I wear a boot for like threee months or something. I'm going to try to keep weight off of it so I can be ready for the freestyle jam.

After years of resistance, I think I'm going to cave in an buy myself a cell phone. It's gonna be expensive, but if I'm leaving Missoula in two weeks, I'm going to need some way for people to get a hold of me. I'll post my new # once I get it.

Complete B.S. even if you're flat footed. Walking on your tip toes helps stretch out those muscles relieving pain. Over time they will be stretched out enough where pain will rarely come unless you overly exert yourself.

Played a ton of footbag this last weekend. Had 3 sessions in a 30 hour period. totalling 6 hours of play. Just been drilling the exact same thing for over a year now 8O

Last month marked 4 years since I've purchased footbag shoes :!: It doesn't seem like it's been that long

Just had an 1.5 hour shred. Worked flipside taps, flip atomic is hard. No highlights, just lame style, lame tricks mode. My ankle isn't fully flexible yet I noticed from all the recent ankle rollage. I wonder if it ever will be because it doesn't hurt anymore.

I've also found my chi. Pumping mad ibuprofen beforehand is the shit! Although this time I added a couple muscle relaxers, not so great. I feel so woosy, but that could be from exahustion. 1.5 hours is redonk for solo shred.

Yeah you should make some bomb soup Riley! One night we should have a big barbecue and make some steaks or chicken or something. (and get Iron Clad to try some! )
Do you guys have a propane grill? Also, where's the most partying gonna happen? Riley's? Will there be kegs there? Can I stay there? Is the 1945 Rattlesnake Dr Riley's house address? Or is that just the event site for Friday? Is there a shred spot set for Friday evening?

I had another little mini-sesh. I was trying to see how many sidewalks I could get. I could only get x3. I still don't know what I'm doing wrong with my stepping sets. I've been doing them the same for a couple years now with no sign of improvement. Please, anyone who is going to MFJ, help me out with my stepping set, give me some pointers because I have no idea what's wrong with them  It feels like it should come through every time, but IF it actually does, it's less than cock height.

It would be nice to hit ripwalk x10 someday. :D
