Alternatives....

Post by Jesterzer »

I'm looking for some alternative to Rod Lavers for footbagging. I go to a private school and ALL black or brown shoes are required...

I was thinking Vans.

Any suggestions?

BTW I'd be circle kicking.

nope, sadly not. And as to you posting the black quants.....all they have are white in stock, he'd have to wait until v2 comes out, or find used ones..........

Jester, try climacools or gunits. You can find links and what-not to them on the site somewhere, along with how to mod them. Or...you could sharpie your lavers......

by the bt what size are you?

If this is the case and you don't plan on getting into freestyle, the shoes don't matter too much. Vans would be fine.

But if you are looking for a shoe that will let you graduate into freestyle go with the black lavers or black quantums. Other option would be black Reebok g-unit G6's if you can find them.

These are good freestyle shoes. The problem is that they both have some white on them so they might not be ok, just another option.

for circle kicking? high top lavers would be a great shoe. for freestyle, not so much: they restrict the ankle in a big way, which is not beneficial to the clipper stall, an absolutely fundamental delay in modern freestyle.

Would it be possible to cut off the high-top portion of the high-top black lavers?

all these damn shoe questions end the same.

buy lavers.

People try to find alternative to avoid ordering them from the internet. There are really no alternatives.
Lavers, quantums or Gunits.
even g units dont really match up to lavers or quantums. they are the closest thing to an alternative to lavers.
