Toronto, Ontario - Weed March

FAT will be at the 9th Yearly Marihuana March Saturday, May 5th, 2007! Location: Queens Park North - Toronto Downtown, located at the north end of University Ave. Our club does not promote the use of illegal narcotics, nor do we wish to reinforce the stereotype of footbag players as hippy/stoners - BUT THIS FESTIVAL IS JUST TOO MUCH FUN TO MISS! So come check it out! There will be lots of great freestylers showing up. We'll be there pretty much all day, so please stop by and kick it with us!

-FAT! (Camille, Andrew Weglarz, Josh Lackey, Adam Greewood, Alex Venis, Mike Faille)

-also, some shlub named JordAn, or something, will be there.

I will be there with bells on. No marching though. Last year almost none of the footbag players smoked. Go footbag!

Most of us in FAT are getting there between 11-12. The march itself officialy kicks off at 2, I think, but the festivities (including footbag) start much earlier.

I've got a new guy from Orillia who'se just starting out coming with me. He's wearing my first pair of lavers (He's the guitar player in Of Chants and Kings). Jamie might be coming too, for those of you that know him. I don't think he's been shredding much, if at all but he still loves the scene.

Last year it was really cold in the morning and then it warmed up. Forecast for this year sounds good to me, Erik!

I think my crew is being flown up saterday morning in a bush plane. I'm not sure when... We'll be landing on Toronto Island and taking a... bus/cab/subway?? to the event itslef. My mom's friend is flying up anyway, so we get to stow-away in the back. We'll have to take a bus home at the end of the day though... not sure what time.

I reference last years Weed March, where the stoners moved out of the way, eventually creating a humongous crowd around the shred.
