finished my cards and my box yesterday. the final critique for them is tomorrow. heres a photo:
im going to take a more professional photo later... but this will do for now. the outside of the box is black snakeskin and the inside is red fuzzy fabric. the face cards are the king, queen, jack, and joker of metal. this project took me up to 30 hours to do. i better get an a (i will).
its been a really long time since ive had a real friend. ive chosen to keep myself away from flakes for a while... so its nice to know someone who i can trust again. steves my buddy. me, him, and brian went to neely's bbq tonight and just ate and had fun.
this is the last full week of school. we go back on monday and tuesday for individual critiques with our professors... but those are only about 15 mintues long. monday we have a final exam in world civ... but brian and i are meeting up with steve on saturday for a study session.
not this saturday, but next saturday im going to get my tattoo!! youll be seeing a picture, but i wont be posting it in the pics thread... just in here. i understand kids are lonely, but they need to keep their "love" comments to themselves. if i were to post about some footbagger being hot or whatever, i would just be coming off as some chick thats lame.... so dont make a love comment unless you want me to make fun of you.

zac is right, if you get too much sun on a new tattoo its bound to fade faster... but you can put like spf80 on it and itll be okay.
a lesson in tattoo care: when your tattoo is new, you should use curel lotion in the green bottle. the green bottle means its unscented. also, use teatree soap for the first few months or the white dove soap. this is how my current tattoos looks so bright and colorful. i took care of them.
monday i meet with two professors for final critiques, and i take my world civ exam. then tuesday i turn in my drawing portfolio. then im done till i get back from worlds! next semester im taking multi media 1 (web design), graphic design 2 (logos and packaging), legacies of dada (hands on dada history), and history of scientific thought. we miss the first day of classes cause we will still be in orlando. no biggie.
josh raye sent me an email, and hes going to be rooming with brian and i for a couple nights at worlds! josh raye is the shit and is in my top 3 favorite footbaggers. hes a bad ass shredder and a really cool guy.
we went out last night and had some fun. my drawing class finished critiques (only 7 people in the class) and we decided to go over to neely's to hang out! steve bought a couple buckets of yazoo and my teacher got a bucket of corona. brian and i split some hot wings, and we sat back and had fun. at neelys they have a back porch that sits over this pond/lake and when you look across the lake you can see the titans practice facility. it was nice. my teacher is a professor at belmont too... and told us this funny story. one of her students (35 yr old female) left this hot pink letter on her desk. the woman had typed it up. it said "do you like me" and had check boxes for yes, no, and other. we thought we would never stop laughing. i got pretty tipsy and when neelys closed we went and hung out at steves. steve pulled out his dobro and we just smoked a lot. steves pretty good at dobro, but ive heard the songs he played a million times.
eric chan is coming to tennessee?! i hope we meet him.

I'm actually not doing to much with her and Footbag. She seems interested but her physical health isn't the best, she has a back pain that pops up from time to time and she's had surgery in one knee. So I don't want her to hurt herself. She just really likes to kick it around. We'll see where it goes though. I understand what you mean with the frustration bit though. I'm not sure if she's that way though.

but thru all the school, work, and misc. stuff, weve made it to the last day of school. our first final critique went well, and im pretty happy with its turnout for the semester (i liked my semesters portfolio). im sure holly is equally proud of herself, as am i. she put more time in than i did!
and ive learned some fancy yoyo tricks here recently. getting good fast i think. heres my most recent, within the last week or so.

ducking, diving clippers bsos
atomic set attempts (still learning...)
inf records not broken...
and ive been stitching more than i should have with my homework load. which is a good thing. especially so i can improve quickly.
i have a crazy rad bag coming up, so i hope you guys will anticipate it. maybe ill put a logo on it... cause it chould be a shelfy bag.
and dont stop ordering bags!!! i have some cool schemes ive been thinking of! or you pick whatever!!!

school is over for the summer. brian and i kicked it off with having a night shred at the skatepark. i hit moshers tail a bunch times. ive been hitting butterflies like 9 out of 10. i havent been able to hit dlo since nyj... and i only hit it once there. it makes me frustrated but i guess its just not the time for it.

i sent henry and penske emails last night asking them if theyd write up some in depth bag reviews. i received their replies today, and well... ill quote them when they write it. i practically sponsor both of them... lol.
im really happy that school is out. normally we dont get home till 10pm and leave at 8am every day... but now we can wake up when we want and get home when we want.
now that this semesters over, im a junior in college. only two more years!
worlds is just around the corner. i dont understand how brian isnt excited yet. im stoked. i need to start looking for bathing suit tops cause there is no way in hell itll be cool enough to even shred in tank tops. stupid boys, why can they shred with no shirts?! ...dont comment on that, lol.

this weekend was alright. real alright.
i got to do some yoyoing while holly was getting tattooed. that was cool, but i feel like im not learning anything harder, just little stuff like basic hooks and regens. i threw my espionage into the wall, so i nearly shit my pants when my 120$ yoyo came away with no marks. thats really nice, because im such a fuck up when it comes to keeping things nice. oh well.
hollys tattoo is so nice. i really like it, and i hope she does, cause it aint coming off.
got 5 bags made this weekend, 2 32s and 3 4s. i still gotta do about 4 more before im finished with current orders. i like my bags now. i hope you readers are compelled to purchase one soon, because you should.
cant wait for worlds, and TN states yoyo comp. got yoyo club this wednesday. ahh.. i feel like summer is the only time i get to enjoy my time off.
dont forget mothers day is soon, and i need to stay busy with stitching.
