Hey Skippy!
When are you guys going to leave for KICKASS?
We might leave around 2-3. Do you want to meet up and head down together, or is it too much trouble??
Do you have shit worked out with the guys you're driving?

Wow. KICKASS2 was awesome. I squeezed by with a 2nd in the intermediate circle comp, and had bunches of fun shred. What an exciting event. I can hardly put into words how awesome it was, cause it blew me away like crazy. I kinda wanna go more into detail on that stuff later I think.
Today I had a session with Tom Mosher in Oakville. I think we played for about 4 hours or so? Anwyay, I hit PILES of new stuff.
INFINITY BOTH SIDES - Talk about the biggest problem with my game: flip clipper. I gotta school the shit outta that stuff
PARADON- Only on my good side. But it was actually clean!! Not thin or the!! Thank goodness. Anyway, it's not gonna be a big part of my game anytime soon, but it's nice to know that I'll be hitting it soon.
I think I hit something else new but I can't remember now. And I gotta go eat. Talk to you later, Skipblog

School's done, which means more footbag for me. SUMMER 07 BEGINS
Holler back for shred days and hangouts. I don't have a job yet, so take advantage of free Skippy as long as you can.

Whoah. The Skippy Revolution continues. Short session at Tom's today, and I landed TAP BS. Sick!! I'm hoping for legbeater and tapdown super soon.
In other news, I'm finally biting the bullet and spending more time schooling flip clipper. I'm starting to feel like I can't really go any further in footbag until I learn that, more because I'm sick of having a lopsided style than anything. Learning tap on both sides today really made me believe that if you try to teach yourself things the right way, you shouldn't really end up with a flipside. So basically, I need to get that flipsided clipper to catch up a little bit, and start schooling things on both sides now when I learn them.
Anyway, that's the update here, for now. Hopefully we'll get down on another session this week, and with any luck I'll be able to post about hitting a bunch of bsos clippers.

Wow. SSOOOOO, it's now wednesday after Montreal Spring Jam, and I'm still pumped. This summer has been a real big help to my footbag game so far, and I can only continue improving from here. So I ended up with a 2nd in Intermediate Circle at the Jam, and I have to say that I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I mean, considering that throughout the school year I basically hardly played at all and just now during the summer am getting back into a shred schedule (shredule), I think that second is a decent outcome. The first round, for me, was awesome. I was nice and warm, and ready to shred. I hit some pretty good strings, didn't need a single passback, and I think maybe I even sealed some strings to handcatch. Anyway, the first round went solid. I was stoked. And then the opens went on and there was about 30 minutes or so before the next intermediate round would go. A lot of the intermediates went off to the back and shredded...I sat down and drank water and chilled. Now I realize that not staying nice and hot was a bad idea. My second round performance was basically a bomb. I didn't have very lengthy strings, and I wasn't pushing as hard with symp tricks and other harder stuff. I guess it's a lesson learned that I need to keep my muscles moving and hot if I want to actually do good during competition. Nonetheless, 2nd place is still an awesome placing and I'm super happy with it. I got a red and white Kolo shirt that'll match with my red shorts, so that I can finally wear them to shred every now and then. I just need some red lavers now.
I didn't get down on too much of the partying, although hanging out at the UQAM with the UQAM crew was super fun, especially the wonderful game of assbag.
Staying at Ianek's was great too. I got to use his Vdrum kit which was fun, and he made us eggs and toast and stuff which was awesome. Eating real food at tournaments is soooo good. So yeah, big shout out to Ianek and his girlfriend for letting us stay the weekend. And big shout out to everyone at the jam for being super cool, and for playing footbag.
Oh, and also, thanks Tom Mosher for driving to this jam. I otherwise wouldn't have made it, and this was definitely one of my favourite jams so far. 905SHRED
So lastly, I figure I'll just put down the new stuff that I remember hitting this weekend:
pixie same reverse whirling gyro toe
flip symple legover
paradox double legover
pixie symple legover (I've hit it before, but it was super clean and I was happy about it)
I feel like there were others but the weekend went by so fast that I spent less time thinking about the tricks I was hitting and more time just absorbing the whole being at a footbag event thing. Anyway, that's my update for now.

skippy,
it was great playing with you in mtl. your style is looking better and better. I really wish I'd seen pixie ss rev whirl toast. I hope you can make it out to more jams in the future. Your style in the new lavers was really crisp and clean. ESPECIALLY those knee-deep pixies!! I hope we can play soon.
