Thanks guys. 8 )

Ben- I've actually only played with Aric once so far, with more to come though of course. But I did learn a lot in that one session. He gave me some tips on my Flip Atomic, my FLip Illusion, set heights, and even some tips on Motion. I will definitely be skyrocketing with my progress after a few more sessions with him though.

Some more Drifter stuff today. I've been imagining what Atomic Drfiter looks like and I can't wait to hit it. I tried Atomic Whirl, both Same and Opposite, a couple times today. Timing is iffy but I'll get it really soon. I don't know what Atomic WHirl is nicknamed though, couldn't find it on .Org. I'm hitting Flip Atomsmasher more often now. I really need to force myself to control my delay and release though so I can start linking Atomics with other Atomics. One thing I just love about Atomic moves is that when you do an Atomic and you do an Opposite side move off of it, you are always working both a Strong Side and a Flip Side at the same time.

Tomorrow is the big day. Really busy. I have to wake up at 11 something, get a haircut(Ugh.), pick up the corsage, get ready, pick her up at 4:30, go through all of the complimenting on how handsome and pretty we look and pictures and such, go to Chili's and have a nice dinner(I'm looking forward to this the most honestly, just us and nobody else. And more appealing... no rap music. :x ), and finally go off to the prom. Should be a fairly good night. Hopefully I'll get some kick ass pictures.

Have a nice weekend everyone. :D

It's Saturday afternoon. I get out of bed at 12:30 pm fairly excited for the nights coming events. A few things to do in the meantime though. I get dressed and go downstairs for a bowl of Weetabix, no milk. As I munch I think of all that I need to do before 4 PM. After "Breakfast" I head out with my father to go get a haircut and pick up the corsage for my date. We then proceed to the car wash for a nice 45 minute wait. We get home around 3 PM.

Time to take a shower and get my Tuxedo on. Putting on a Tuxedo isn't as hard as they make it look. It's actually quite simple, the only difficult thing about it is getting the ever stubborn buttons through the corresponding holes.

I'm ready. All dressed up in a part wool/part polyester jacket and pants with all the bells and whistles on an 80 day. Fun. As expected, I must suffer through an initial barrage of pictures and fawning from my mother before we start off to pick up my date. We arrive at her house at 4:30.

I knock on the door and am greeted by her. She's wearing a stunning green dress with her hair done up in an entrancing and intricate style I can't begin to follow without an explanation. I enter through the door and am greeted by her brother and her mother. We exchange formalities and proceed to put on the corsage and whatever it is that I myself wear, yet I have forgotten the name.

We are then ushered outside for yet another barrage of pictures and fawning, though this time it is from two mothers instead of one. We soldier on through the entire process despite the stifling heat.

We are on our way. First we stop at Chili's for dinner and idle chat. We talk about various things at school and learn a bit more about each other. It's very pleasant just sitting and chatting and getting to know each other more. A few compliments are tossed our way from various parts of the restaurant.

We get done early and decide to just head on over. Prom is being held in the NC US History Museum of all places. We are the very first to arrive. We had expected more of a wait at Chili's but surprisingly there was none so we were a good 20 minutes early. We walk around and chat and admire the various decorations, biding time until more arrive.

We get our pictures taken, first ones, by someone there and we decide to share the pictures. They are surprisingly nice, though it's obvious that we were trying not to laugh the entire time.

People don't really start arriving until after 8 so that's when everything picks up speed. I will pause in my story for a second to just mention that I NEVER dance, especially to rap music for that matter, yet somehow she managed to get me to dance. I must say that I did actually have fun. even though I don't like the music I ignored everything but the beat and just went with it.

The DJ keeps a constant mix between slow and fast dance music and we all methodically follow suit. I see friends there who I haven't seen in as much as 2 years. We are all joking, dancing, talking, and just overall having a great time.

It's the last dance, my moment. Halfway through the song I bend down to her ear and whisper to her a question. Her eyes light up. She sqeals and latches onto me in an embrace which I return tenfold. As the song ends our lips brush. Again.

Afterwards everyone in attendance heads off to various parties and whatnot. We simply go to the car and go home. There is no need to go to any parties. It has already been a spectacular night.

Such is how Prom went and how my newest relationship begins.

THanks guys. 8 ) I have high hopes for this relationship. I'm just taking it one step at a time and not rushing into things like in the past. 8 )

I did manage to do some things. The shoes weren't very good because of the slightly raised heel common for all dress shoes but I managed Butterfly>Infinty>Dyno and I managed to hit a Torque though the catch was wild. :D

Emily's tip of the day: Don't try to get her involved with footbag. If she shows interest, invite her to come to a session and join a circle of nice people, but don't get over excited and try to skool her the whole time. But you probably know that.

Thanks Emily. :D It's actually kind of ironic that you said that last bit though because yesterday she took my Holly bag and kept it and then today afterschool I was talking to her and she asked if I could teach her some things. My only worry is that she has an iffy knee and back so if she keeps an interest then I'll have to make sure she takes it easy.
This is the first time any significant other has really shown much interest in it though. :D

And I hit Paradox Drifter both sides as of Monday.
ALmost got Drifter back to back as well. I always foot the Flipside though.

Hehe. You'll get them faster than you think. What helps me most is consecutives.

Fucked up my knee today. Slipped on some steps and hit right above my knee cap on a step. Hurts like hell but Renee fixed me up. :D I won't be playing for a couple of days though, it's swollen.

Knee is still swollen and painful. I was 5 minutes late to German because it's hard going up and down stairs. >_>

Absolutely no Footbag, I'm not going to fuck around like I did with my injured ankle. I'm not going to risk it. No other damage besides swollenness, soreness, and a nasty cut though thankfully. Siarhei and I have started juggling Footbags between us with our hands. We're working on 5 but it's slow going..

Knee still hurts. Going up and down stairs is slightly easier though.

I was on my feet 90% of the day though, so I might hurt a bit more tomorrow, we'll see.

Renee was playing with my Holly bag Thursday night and kicked it and lost it. She called me nearly crying she was so upset. o_O I calmed her down though I was disappointed, that's my favorite bag. She found it the next morning though, so it's all good.

I miss Footbag.

lol. im really glad she found that bag. i was gonna have to drop some 'bows

when brian and i started dating, i would take his footbags and try toe stalls in my socks. he noticed and ended up buying me a pair of climas off ebay to suprise me. i was skeptical because him buying those shoes meant that i was actually gonna have to put effort into this hacky sack thing. but now i love footbag. if she wears size 8 womens... i have this mint condition modded pair of blue plaid lavers i might sell. i also have this pair of modded blue dodger gunits that are a half size too small for me that i would rather part with than the lavers. they are 6.5 mens.

let her work at her own pace. dont give her pointers unless she asks for them... i get kinda pissed when im learning a trick and brian tells me to do something else. i guess im the short tempered type of lady.

Knee feels much better. Still staying off of it for the most part though. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Just now managed to finish my Senior Research Project Essay thingy. It was due this past Thursday. Damn.

Knee is better. Just a scab now.

Footed Whirling Swirl twice. Flipside feels so wierd. My Left foot does not know how to Swirl. I should practice the motion.

I NEED to get back to my regular practices, I haven't had a real session since I played with Aric. Turned in and presented my Senior Research Project on Euthanasia today... 4 days late. Damnit. Na ja, Scheiss drauf.

My fingers are blistered and my wrist hurts like a bitch from Chainmaille.

Things are going well with Renee. We're going to watch Thank You For Smoking on Thursday. Such a great movie.

Geez, what's up with everybody's knees?

A tip on atomic tricks: try and bring your dex leg back to the original start point on the floor. With tricks like tap and legbeater, your atomic leg can hit the floor anywhere, but with tricks like atomic drifter or predator, bringing your dexing foot back to the same spot on the floor where it started (next to your support foot) will really make the next component easier.

Heh, well in all honesty my knee injury was a mixture of my stupidity and some steps with really sharp corners...

But anyways, thank you very much for that tip. I tried that out in my session just a few minutes ago and hit Atomic SS Pickup for the first time on the first try. I've been trying to hit that for a while! It also helped a shitton with Atomsmasher.

So, after my post earlier today I figured, Why not go ahead and start my practices up again today? So I did a nice and surprisingly productive 30 minute session.

I hit a lot of great drills, Toe Drifter Both Sides from Both Toes, Drifter back to back, and Atomic SS Pickup. I hit some weird stuff too, Inside Set Symposium Whirl... it was a shocker when it landed in my hand. :D
I'm exhausted though. Thankfully it doesn't take long to build up a good stamina.
Plus, Infinity x24. That's a new record for me. I'm very pleased.

It's getting so hot out though, in the 90's today. Shit.
