I was just reminding FAT, just yesterday, about how for a period Tom Mosher was the hottness of footbag. Everybody wanted to talk to him and post in his blog and say they knew Tom. I think it came up because your blog and the FAT blog are, like, the two biggest on Modified, or something??
Anyway, we're all super stoked that you're in Toronto now!! I can't believe I'm leaving just as so many people are coming back
Will you be in Toronto after the summer too? I am hoping to be back...

Am I still super hot? Sizzling? Not so much?
I have a good feeling my stock will soon be rising.
I have been frustratingly locked out of modified for a few days for some confusing reason. There were many posts I had so much to say about that I simply couldn't.
So my life has completely changed since my last posts.
I went through some really emotional and unforgetable moments, most notable were several lasts.
I will elaborate more shortly, dinner is served and I am hungry.
It's nice to have my account back.
Oh yeah and regarding if I will be in Toronto after the summer.. most likely not.

So I live with my parents now. It sounds bad at first but then upon inspection it's actually totally awesome. I get free food, there are no bills to pay and I am on my own schedule. Amazing.
Leaving Kingston took alot of work and it was crazy emotional at times.
I had to do so many things for my last time. I wrote my last exam and went to my last KFM meeting and fell asleep with Pengpeng in our Kingston house for my last time ever. I guess it's easy to find a way to be sad about all these things but I havn't let that happen too much. I guess each time I did something for the last time I couldn't help looking forward to the first time I'd do it at my new home.
The second last day I lived in Kingston was the worst. It was the day our house really had to break up because the guy we lived with (Joel) moved out that day and that meant that what we had had for the last year was coming to an end. We'd of course seen it all coming for a long time, but you can never help feeling feelings. (Man, what's with me and using double-words?) I needed Joel as a friend in my life, he taught me about countless amazing things and kept me motivated at fun pursuits like juggling and racquetbag.
So Joel left and it was sad. That left me and Peng in the house for one last night. I thought back then to a year and a half earlier when I met Pengpeng, I felt special that after all that had happened in the time since then she chose my arms to come to for comfort and support. Joel and Pengpeng had spent the last 4 or so years living together and they had a really special relationship and he cared for Pengpeng so much too. It always makes me feel really good knowing that Pengpeng is safe.
The day before we moved the bulk of the stuff Peng's parents came up to Kingston and carried back a load of stuff. This would turn out to be crucial as there wouldn't have been enough space. When they were heading off her dad gave me a hug and it really meant alot to me. I'd sorta felt guilty, as though her parents didn't approve of me, I know this doesn't say they love me but it was a really nice gesture of trust and appreciation. I think he really appreciates that I took great care in ensuring Peng's safety.
Following our emotional final night in Kingston we awoke prepared to get the hell out of that shithole!
My parents arrived pretty early and I finished up packing while they went and grabbed the u-haul trailer I'd reserved.
We loaded the car/trailer and headed off. I guess I kinda left alot of shit behind and I head it pissed off the people moving in (my friends) but um.. they should appreciate all the free shit we gave them.
The drive back to the Toronto area was uneventful. We dropped Peng and her stuff off at her parents place and our parents introduced themselves. I am glad my parents aren't stupid or jerks or slobs or anything, I bet Peng's parents noted that. I was again happy when I got a hug from both her parents and then Peng got hugs from my parents, cute! PS on the topic of cute, PENGS FAMILY!!! hahah The Du's! They are all TINY and adorable!! My mom commented just after we left them 'Well doesn't Peng have just a perfect little set of parents' or something.
Getting home to Oakville was different than usual. For the first 18 years of my life my home in Oakville was my only home and so I knew it as that. For the 6 years since then it's been a weekend getaway from Kingston and each time I was home I knew that come Sunday I would be on my way back to school and Kingston. This time however it was totally different, I had to view it as my future. It would be the place my passion will bubble out from.
So now I live at home with my parents. Ive lived here three days now and all is well. My cat Lotus is slowly adjusting, though she still totally hates me for putting her through this. It's sweet to watch her hone her skills to a new turf! She totally doesn't act anything like the two cats that alread live here, what a wierdo.
I just found out that this kid I used to babysit is a dealer now, I should twist that to my advantage. When my sister asked if there were any medical conditions I could hold over him (totally joking) I smartly remembered and replied that he was a hemopheliac. Totally joking, but still funny.
Ive been going on lots of sweet bike rides. I already managed to get my sister out on a ride! I worry alot about her. She is overweight and basically all she does is smoke, eat and drink wine. I will do my best to help her but like.. geez, she has alot of issues. I guess I will never fully understand since I'm just a boring happy guy.
I was supposed to go to toronto to visit Peng today but then we got in a stupid fight over nothing all morning and did that instead.
We are so stupid sometimes, it's really frustrating.
Oh well, she is coming to visit me tomorrow and that is great. Wee, I pick her up at the train station at 8:25 AM, I better get some sleep.
Oh yeah, and I need people to start ordering lots of bags. Maybe I should make a fancy post saying so..
Bed time, I thank anyone that read all that I wrote.. theres alot on my mind.
One more thing, I totally called up Scott FLASH GORDON Bevier on the telephone today and asked him and Aidan to stay with me and Peng at worlds and they totally agreed. I am so big league!!
I havn't gotten my marks back but supposedly I have now graduated. I passed school!

living at home totally rocks after youve been gone on your own for a while. i lived at my schools dorms for a year and moved back home (brian came with me) and i love not worrying about money and food and safety. make the best of it, tom!
did you get the package i sent you yet?
thats cute how pengpengs family is small too. i wish i had a cool last name like "the du's".
i cant really imagine how parents meeting parents would be in my situation. my mother has spoken to brians mom on the phone a few times, but i dont know how itd be in person. my dad likes to make redneck jokes... and almost always says something gross at the dinner table (so do i). lol... brian, my dad, my mom, and i were at longhorns one time and my dad said something about vaginas. my dad talks really loud because he can't hear well and it was hilarious. good thing brian likes gross things.
when are you going to tell us your secret about your future? did i miss that, or are you gonna fill us in sometime soon?

Yay!! I'm going to hold off my congratulations graduate until your grades come in but I am so happy for you and I love you.
I'm stoked to be staying with the Flashes again as well as our closest friends from the KFM. Our own rental townhouse, private hot tub... hopefully some of Gordon's famous beers to sample...
It'll be a sweet vacation. I gotta get to work too to afford all the travelling I foresee in the near future, but oh well.
See you tomorrow!

Peng did some research into the idea that Jon Negala had of renting a house at world's instead of staying at the hotel. It appears that it's a TOTALLY amazing deal and we are sold.
I think I will make a big post expanding on the idea. If you get a place that sleeps 8 all comfortably on beds it will cost about $100 for the whole week per person! All you really need is a car to get to and from the house. They are all just houses that are in enclosed mini-resorts and you get the whole house, including hot tub or pool or whatever it has including laundry, extra washrooms and other perks you probably hadn't thought of yet.
Anyways, it's a super deal and we are gonna go for it. The bigger idea is that we should get like.. four houses all together in one place and have a little village of footbaggers partying. Amazing.
So far our place is Peng, me, flash, aidan, KFM (john bagi, derrick ogden, mrs bagi, skippy??) That makes 8 and we will all sleep on beds comfortably and eat big healthy meals we will cook instead of eating processed disney shit.
So who else is going to get a place? I will post which one Peng is reserving and you guys can choose to follow suit or pile your bags on top of eachothers and heap your bodies on the floor while you wait for the toilet while someone takes an epic shower in your hotel room.
I'm just being silly, I recognize that there are many perks to being so close to the action staying at the host hotel. But Ive learned that if that's where the action is then that's where people will be including me. But at the end of the night everyone goes *somewhere* else, so our somewhere may aswell be some kickass house where we can kick back and relax in our private hot tub.
Peng came and visited me today in Oakville!
She missed her first train and called me at 8:25 AM, telling me that she would not be on her train that was to arrive at 8:25 AM. I was all ready to pick her up at the train station so I figured I should take advantage of the hour or so I had to kill before she'd arrive on the next one. I did something very out of the ordinary for me, espeeeeecially over the last year or so, I went to McDon..blechrlorplflepwretcheeeuuuuuuggghhhh GRROOSS!! I don't know what I was thinking, I guess I wanted something quick and easy but what I wound up getting was greasy torture.
So I pulled up to the order sign and the lady engages the order process, I was kinda hesitant but at that moment I knew I was commited to this exchange and there was no turning back. I asked her for a little more time, how could I possibly be ready to invest straight off the bat without any time to consider. So following a review of the options I selected the two breakfast burrito meal with orange juice. Hang on, let me go fetch the green puking icon...
For example, the 'meat' was 6 or so pieces of this terrifying light grey, black flecked semi-sperical meat unit. The 'cheese' made everything slorp together in my mouth, I even had to make up the word slorp to describe the revolting way the 'cheese' gooed and gunked up my mouth. Blech.
The 'hash brown unit' was moist with grease, good thing I was so thirsty.
On that note, the orange juice was delicious.
I should go do other stuff, I keep getting stuck at my computer writing these novels. So much to say! (SO much more to say too!)

Oh wait, I didn't even get to the Peng part, that's where my day got good.
After I had 'food' I went back to the train station and waited for her train to arrive. My family has gotten me hooked on CBC Radio One, really classy stuff and it's funny and I learn stuff.
Her train arrived and I went down into the tunnel connecting the parking lot to the tracks to meet her. She was in this new sweater her mom got her. She looks retardedly cute no matter what she puts on.
It was our first time seeing eachother since we moved and it was real nice to get to squeeze her again.
So we went back to my place and played with my giant footbag collection, picking out some good ones to take with her, since many of them were hers anyways. We cuddled and talked and stitched and modded her shoes more (with a dremmel!
). We had had intentions of playing footbag but I am gay at time management so I fucked up and we didn't have time. I felt/feel really bad because for a while Peng wasn't that motivated to play and now finally she's come around and wants to and I messed up and missed a chance to play footbag with my awesome hot girlfriend.
We got hungry eventually and decided to bike to a local fish and chips place because we'd both been craving it for months. The ride was so fun! I took Peng along a path that skirted along the ravine that I have ridden hundreds of times in my youth, I first revisited it yesterday when my mom needed me to go on run to get some catnip. I set Peng up on my mom's awesome mountain bike, she was excited for the shocks!
I picked this bike for her because it was the most functional and because I had a fun and somewhat daring (for Peng) start to the ride planned. We put several extra pads into my mom's helmet to fit Peng better and we were off! It was fun for me taking her along the streets that I pounded out my childhood. We got to the top of a hill that plunges down into the ravine, it was my toboganing hill of choice as a kid, which feeds down into the packed dirt/gravel pathway.
We zoomed down the hill together, I was happy to see Peng confident enough to tackle this challenge! The path was quite smooth as it's quite frequented by bikers, walkers and runners ("people") so we zipped along the curvy path under the canopy of trees and vines. I liked hearing the water running next to us.
We made it to the restaurant safely and locked up. Our food was good, I shouldn't have ordered the $4.50 bottle of beer though. At least it was a tasty extra hoppy ale from a local brewer.
We biked home and took a fun new route I hadn't tried, I am totally never taking the roads if I can swing it!
We spent the rest of our day splitting up our facile and amaretta collections so that we'd both have all the colours to work with.
I am really glad she came to visit me at my parents place. We had a fun day together doing fun stuff. I feel bad that I didn't leave enough time for us to shred before I had to take her to the train station to go home. I will learn from my mistakes and get better.
I like Peng alot.

are you riding your fixie on trails? what kind of tires are you riding on?
news for my bike: i'm in the process of procuring some sick ass, light as fuck, strong-like-bull sprint-track wheels that have barely been used from an old sprint biker who can't ride any more!
i hope i get them soon, i'm getting chubby.

We are staying in her Aunt's summer cottage almost the whole time too which is right near the beach and this cute little town. It kinda stinks that im missing worlds, but i've never been to Europe. And i really wouldn't be able to afford both trips if they hadn't overlapped. Ill be seein' ya at Montreal though right?

Life's been a blast!
Weed march was over the top!! It'd be impossible to accurately describe it in words. Picture a really big city park with like 10,000 people from every genre extreme you can imagine all bold and blatantly smoking weed in big joints and bongs and gasmasks.
We played on a paved path that was actually a walkway and had to fight to open a hole to play in the whole time as we were actually in a dense stream of people basically the whole time. It's hard to describe/imagine, but the river of people just kept flowing, as much as it changed constantly it never changed at all.
Before the get together Peng and I got together with our old housemate Joel for one last time before he went off to BC. It was sad and happy and I am glad we had the little visit. I really like Joel.
John Bagi is off at treeplant right now, he's such an awesome and solid guy, I am sure he will excel. I am concerned about the crew he's going up with as I know they are big into the booze and it's already caused him problems. Anyways, great guy, he'll do fine in life.
I got to play in some really 'important' circles for me at the march. I say important for several different reasons. There were many players at the march that Ive wanted to get to play more with but keep missing the chance and finally I had that chance!
My notable circles (though there were SOOOO many fun ones)
- Jorden, Johnny, me. (supposedly Ontarios 1,2,3)
- Johnny, Chris Dean, me
- Erik Chan, me, anybody
- Oshawa, me. So cool to see them keen!! Also, they got some sweet bags off us!
I was sad to say goodbye to Erik, I probably won't see him for a while. It made me really happy when I showed up and gave him a hug and he was all sweaty. Instantly my mind flashed back to months (years?) of reading sad posts from erik about his condition and then flash to the present and saw that he could not only play but play to the point of getting soaked in sweat and continue to do so for hours. It made me smile.
Also, as if chris miller actually tried to call erik chan not the nicest footbag player ever! what an idiot. Has he even met him???
I am sad that Johnny is held back so much by his relationship. The most unfortunate thing is that the thing that holds him back the most is the fact that he's such an awesome guy that is willing to sacrifice for others. If he didn't have a jealous gf at home he could expand to such untouchable heights. I feel bad for him and I don't know how to tell him how sad it makes me. Ive talked to him about it to some degree but there's not much I can do from the outside, it has to come from him if he really wants to break free and become all his potential would allow.
I saw so many fixed gears in toronto!!! It was fun!
One guy knew some of the footbag players and hung out with us basically all day. We played on eachothers bikes a bit too, that was fun!
Near the end of the day the guy on the PA started asking people to go get garbage bags from some tent and lending a hand cleaning up. I went with the other fixie guy and we got gloves and bags and brought them back to the footbag area.
On my way back I was offering them to people (no one accepted) until one guy said 'yeah! I'll take one!'. I was like 'Cool!' and started getting out his bag and gloves, as soon as he saw there was some level of commitment he changed his mind and said no and 'I guess that was sorta an asshole thing to do.' I gave him a sour look and just said 'Yeah.' and walked off.
I had a good idea at that point, I grabbed jorden and some others and told them we were racing to fill our bags. At that point I grabbed my shit and just attacked the ground! There was SO much debris everywhere that it was easy to stay busy. I just kept my head down and aggressively jammed stuff into my bag, working around tons of lazy people that just watched me clean up their shit.
I got my bag to the point where it was torn and full to bursting and tied it up and rode it over to the dumpster. I totally won the karma contest.
The rest of the day was fun and mellow. Sorta mixed between me goofing on my bike and hacking and juggling. I did a trackstand on my bike (when you just stand there) and I juggled! Jorden saw my best one. I also did skidding juggling. I guess it's hard to appreciate these tricks if you don't get how my wierd bike works.
Also, my bike was totally messed up from how hard Ive been thrashing on it. The top part of the fork was all bent meaning that it turned like total crap. I fixed it with some finesse. And by finesse I mean I totally wailed on it with a hammer until it worked better.
I booked a flight to Europe today, fancy that eh?
