dave. I compete open. i have done 5 routines. i read your blog, so i think by your criteria i'm allowed to comment. However, i'm a much worse routine player than you, silver child, kevin bacon, or honzo, but here's what i do know:
Leave it to Cleaver wrote:I downloaded the files and sat down with a big bowl of peanut butter, 2 kleenex tissues, my copy of "this week in ice skating", and my collection of coupons from germany. Bien.
Bien is french. If you were trying to go german, it's Gut. if you were trying to say something like "That's better" it would be "Das ist besser". I'm just sayin'...

The joke is that I messed up the language. That's where the pun is. And bien is also French.

But I still love you.

So my blog is an inactive piece of shit. Sorry chaps. I doubt anyone is crying because there aren't frequent updates though. *tear*

So today this shorty do whoop calls me and she wants to interview me for the school newspaper. The school newspaper is not shabby, which you might be thinking. 40,000 kids go here, so the school paper is pretty big. There's like, a shitload of news in it. Anyway, she wanted to write about me going to GRASS and shit. So I obliged and met her at the HUB (the student union place).

She brought her photographer buddy which was cute. We went downtown and took pics in front of some cool shit. When I asked if I could have the pictures he said that was against school policy. This is the only time a yellow face has ever been rationalized. :x

So she asked me questions but she didn't really think hack was very cool. Who can blame her, she probably covers crazy things like blood drives and student elections, the best hacky sacker in the country is just run of the mill bullshit. Sorry if you couldn't hear me over the bitterness.

So anyway we do all that shit and then I peaced. I finished a bag and rolled it twice in my hands. Pilled. Yay, new bag for David. Bummer, one less for sale at grass. Screw you fields fabric and your lack of a pilling index. Ugh.

So tonight I'm going to stitch a whole bag or else I'm only going to have one for sale at grass lol. I'm such a loser.

Hack is ok. Did you see the todexon footage?

Listen to Ben Kweller.

later.

lol. Your writing is so funny.

Props on making the paper even though the columnist was a bitch (presumably?).

those pictures from the water temple shred are awesome. You and Jorden were ripping it pretty hard at that session. I know Red has footage of that session, but I'll bet he's saving it for his next video. I'm pumped to go to worlds. Can we figure out the rooming situation or what? holla. peace

I sit here in this computer lab with sore legs and a scattered brain. Perhaps writing down my thoughts can help one of those problems.

This weekend was one filled with highs and lows. It began when I got picked up by Alex Verget and Nathan Pipenberg on Friday afternoon, and our 4 hour journey to Rochester began. The excitement I normally feel for tournaments was a bit lacking. You see, I’ve been to so many jams that they all just seem to blend. I am no longer the day counting 15 years old I once was, and I really miss those days when every tournament was some kind of escape.

Perhaps when I was younger it was about getting away from my parents, being free. Now that I don’t live with them anymore there really isn’t much to escape from. School is winding down, and even though I do have some work it’s not really as bad as I thought. So this weekend was not some run away from the pressures of school or my family, it was more just “something to doâ€

Great post. I also really enjoyed your performance... I'm glad you think about the nature of the sport, the nature of performance, and what you want to get out of footbag. These are serious questions very few people bother to ask. I'm sorry I couldn't make it out this weekend to hang out, but hopefully I'll catch you sooner than later (possible PSU roadtrip in May?). Take care Dave.

No need to say sorry. That's the beauty of opinions. 8 ) Great job on the performance though, just watched the video.

Not many good lines in the grass video, but then again it was only circle. My style is bad cuz my head is like, down low. I wonder why that is. I should work on keeping it upright.
