Lame/Ultimate!

Ok hopefully the thread's title isn't misleading, but I was wondering what each of you believe is the "lamest" trick in footbag. This could mean anything from a trick that looks stupid to something that doesn't deserve that adds its is worth (or another reason, get creative). If you're truly irate naming several moves that irritate you is fine, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE explain why you dislike a move. Simply saying, "oh (insert trick here) sucks ass..." doesn't mean anything, tell us why said move sucks!

Secondly I was wondering what each of you consider to be the coolest trick in footbag. Again use your imagination and explain why said trick is your favorite.

Since I made the thread I have first dibs . So here goes I really don't think either grifter's or fluxes look cool. There are so few people that can make them look clean and for it's difficultly they're worth so little. As a side note I was going to post this and say symp torque sucks but after seeing Vasek's work as Todexon I had to change my mind that trick is phat.

For my favorite trick I'd have to say dyno. I just learned how to control them and I see nothing but potential there . Also GYBAS is fricken sweet.

I don't really like moves along the lines of atomic ss mirage. I just don't think the two dexes are fully worthy. However I don't mind the feel of hitting the move, and i don't mind its looks.

I personally can't think of any move that I don't like, because if I don't like the way one person does it, surely someone else in the world does it in a way that pleases the eye.

I think the best looking moves are the ones with 'air'(think superfly), flailing body parts+air (Think PS whirl), or complete rotation+flailing body parts (surging blender).

As for combo's, I think the most eye pleasing ones are the things that repeat nicely. So, drifter->drifter just looks plain sexy, as opposed to something like DLO -> dimwalk.

I also have a soft spot for runs like Rubberman, alot of tightly tucked mirages and sets.

I hate pendulum, i think its just a stupid hacky sack trick that somehow made it into footbag and now no one uses it. (IMO)

I also hate all moves that have X-DEX's because no one knows whether to count them as ADD's or not.


I love moves that include double or tripple or whatever amount of dexes, when both feet are off the groud, symposium shiz rox.

I use it, it's my favourite trick I fully support the pendulum, it takes perfect timing and form to pull it off.

I find clouds to be absolutely worthless, it's completely useless in all ways; just a crap attempt at an unusual surface.

Any trick, depending on the person's style and form, can either be the ultimate trick or the lamest trick.

No trick is 'better' than any other trick imo.

All are worth learning.

I think DaDa Curve is pretty lame. Well, its lame if you're thinking about adds - four adds, way easier than Drifter which is only three adds, and the second dex just happens accidentally when you're trying drifter but can't do it cleanly.

That being said, I do this trick a lot and can't do drifter cleanly at this stage in my game.

Ultimate move? Pelvic thrust, no contest.

I wouldn't say ultimate ... but i really like a lot of different moves ending in rake.
Rakes are pretty bad ass!

Ahh thanks holly. Toilet stall- Lamest move EVER. It looks like you're catching it in your crotch, and you have to squat down and look like a fool while ur down there. Whats funny is I thought it was a lame move before I even knew what it was called. Hearing it called 'Toilet Stall' sealed the deal

On to the Ultimate...Mirrored moves have always been really cool. So one of my ultimate moves is frantic eggbeater. Warp's another good one. Big Apple Sauce probably gets the prize, just cuz it probably looks inhuman, has the highest add value, and it's such a mythical move cuz no one knows for sure if it's been hit 'clean' lol.

i'm also gonna have to say dada curve, because no one ever hits them very nicely, with the exception of yax who busts them friggen huge and gets massive hang time on them. pretty much every other one i have seen was lame. i think reaper (closely followed by grave digger... damn i wish i had better torques) is possibly the sexiest trick in footbag. same leg double dexes are cool. reaper is a highly underused move.

I personally kind of like DaDa's. They're pretty difficult to execute clean and correct. Jorden can bust a sweet/speedy DaDa. And they're way harder than drifter when you're not doing the double ass cheek over like everyone does when they try em. Just my opinion on them.

Lamest: Surging Ducking anything. I don't think this is anatomically possible to hit clean and I cringe when I see good players slurring them when they try to go huge.

Ultimate: Pixie Symposium Quantum Eggbeater. I hit this once barefoot and it felt SHWEET.

I think the idea that you like how a trick feels and looks, yet don't like it because it doesn't deserve its adds or dexes ridiculous.

I have to agree with grifter/flux being sex incarnate. And I've had a long love affair with drifter. Actually I agree with almost everything jay7 said as well. I REALLY feel like a chicken parmigana right now.

Moves are only lame when they're executed in a lame way.
