First run since the minor sprain. Two miles around La RAZA. Been pretty lazy so far

EDIT:
Working Saturday, so I'm not likely going downstate this weekend.

3 miles at the park near the office. Mile and a half, walked a block then another mile and a half. After work, biked to Belmont Harbor before heading home. I don't start until 11 am so I'll probably run tomorrow before work tomorrow. Body has been feeling pretty good the past couple days, no pain in the ankle or ache in the knees.

I made the New Years resolution to draw every single day and I'm still all over it!! I hve never once in my life kept a resolution, and I have never drawn so muh in my life before -- IT IS AWESOME!!

It also helps that I'm, like, best friends with an AMAZING, award-winning illustrator, here in Toronto!!!! ( http://www.mikefaille.com - be inspired!!!)

Ummm...yeah. Play Final Fantasy XII -- that will inspire you to draw..... We could have like drawing games...revive one of those threads. I don't have a scanner, really, though (or even a computer at the moment), but I want to revive my website some time since I've drawn so much in the past four months.

Oh yeah, and thank you for those kind words in that one thread, Zeke -- that was really nice :)

Do some of those, they are fun, and very different from what I and I assume you usually draw..

Seriously we should organize a monthly drawing jam??? With a theme or sumthin..

I gotta re-install my Wacom pad. My brother messed up my scanner - FUCK - how pathetic, I'm already making excuses!

Jogged 2 miles before work. Not continuously. I'm not used to running consecutive days. My breathing is heavy but steady. I'm not totaly gasping for air and my lungs no longer ache. My mind is more focused and not constantly seeking excuses to stop. If anything, it's my legs. my feet have been aching after runing 2 miles. My shoes are new and I've tried inserting gel insoles to help with more shock absorbtion but it just lead to more aches. Is my body just not used to the longer distance? Wrong shoes? Uneven terrain? Bah!

i think we should fold up a large peice of nice paper, like a map, and mail it around to different people to add drawings onto it.

Maybe just a sketchbook and then we could do a page each? And when its done somebody could scan in all the pages and post it up?
We could put the sketchbook up for auction and the money could go to footbag.org ?!

Getting me to draw is one thing... getting me to the post office to mail a package is a whole other struggle! :)

Interesting ideas so far though. Artists are awesome, props and much love to all of you.

That reminds me, I've been meaning to do a tribal design of the CIC logo.

It's 8pm and I'm still here at work just barely able to keep myself from screaming in rage. I was expecting to be out of here an hour ago but the second to last patient came in 45 minutes late and the Dr. decides last minute to 2 appointments worth of work in one night - tonight. The night before we leave for Cinco. I was planning on picking up some cooking utensils at my parents place, set up the tents to make sure everything is in place and do groceries for the weekend. I may just have to waste a lot of time tomorrow to do all this.

Tom called me a few minutes ago to say that he may not be able to come over tonight.

However hard I've tried in the past, I just can't be optimistic about any of this. There have been very few experiences in my life that lead me to believe that things will just work out for me. I've been let down countless times to simply hope that this time will be different. And I realize the all this stressing does nothing to improve the situation now. I'm also painfully aware that this could have been easily avoided had I acted sooner and been prepared well in advance. When will I finally learn this lesson?

So, I'm sitting here pissed and in control of nothing and there's nothing I can do about it. This really makes me wonder if I want to go through all this again for B-day Jam, Miami...Worlds... NYJ.

You cannot prevent the birds of sorrow from flying over your head, but you can prevent them from building nests in your hair.

I feel ya, my friend. It's never perfect. It gets to me too. prolly more to you. disorder is unavoidable sometimes - like my sitch the other day. But i try and be as good at this organizations stuff. I feel like its such a headache sometimes too - so much so that I'm almost like fuck New Year's Jam. But some of those times amongst the bad things there is awesomeness. Awesomeness that i don't feel anywhere else, and is a lifelong memory. I don't think we can control things and be prepared completely, but I always try and get better at it whilst understanding that it would take an infinite amount of energy and unhappiness to perfect it.

im sooo tired - i hope this makes sense.

Actually Merango, the really cool people know it's one word, the Rav5. If the Shat saw it spelled with a space he throw a shat-fit, just ask min45. Anyway, I'm tired and my body feels like I got double sweet and lowed. I'm off to bed

Ran 9 miles total and played a lot of squares last week. My game has been inconsistent but not terrible. I seem to get off to bad starts but really turn it up later in the session.

Some 4S highlights:
-Reile double tapping Twitch's glasses off his face
-Toms spinning outside kick> spinning toe kick combo (low, but still incredible to see)
-Tony winning 2 games after several month of not playing at all
-Tom with a gorgeous ax kick to a mid-air noob.
-Reile's sole shove that knocked Ronnies head back
-Ronnie wins his second game
-Completely unstoppable double team plays
-Twitch over reacting to Tony's kick

My highlights:
-I successfully defend a check from out-of-bounds by Tom
-My Praying Mantis proving to be more effective than I thought it was going to be
-Ax kick in full effect, one *really* close one on Tom and a barrage of them agaisnt Reile
-Miss with an axe kick to a totally blind outside kick save
-Right side body screen fake to 1sq then changing to a jump spinning outside kick (leg bent/cocked not straight) that killed 3sq

Had a shitty morning jog today. Couldn't even complete a lap at the park, I just kept getting winded. Managed to finish 2 laps but really struggled to run the whole time. I pretty much quit after the second lap and started walking back to the office. Just before I left the park though I decided to try some suicide sprints at about 15-18 yards distance. I hadn't done these since grade school. I did one rep and felt fine. On the second attempt my legs almost felt like they were no longer in my control (in a bad way) and finished the rep in a sloppy manner that almost caused me to trip up. I finally decided to cut my losses before I injured myself and headed back to work. Dehydration and lack of breakfast may have been the cause of todays craptacular performance.

I've had 4 flats on my bike in the past two and a half weeks. All of them were in the front tire. First 3 were from the same puncture. I didn't see the shard of glass when I had fixed it the first 2 times  Stupid. So I bought a patch kit to carry with me. Got my 4th flat yesterday on the way home from the park from another piece of glass. Walked 2 blocks to a nearby gas station and patched the hole in the tube only to fin that the air pump was not working. Fortunately Ronnie kept me company while I ranted about my particular misfortunes of the day. It was a mile to walk back home. Somewhere in the middle of it a bird shat on my seat. :? WTF

Notable quotes:
HG on brooms ~ "Or we can get a really long stick and put Freddy's mustache at the end of it!"

M45 on bucked teeth ~ "She looked like she had a tooth mustache!"

Reminder:
Next post needs a pic in it.
