I don't know or care what this is/was about but I doubt it was worth hurting the feelings of two people that love footbag.

Ben Rea was really nice when I met him in person and JRStubs seems fine by all that Ive seen.

Frankly, people like chris miller are the ones fucking shit up and making modified annoying.

But you've yet to catch the point about what we talked about today. Because you're just coming in late to chime in about how much I suck. You don't really care what the thread is about or why, but just trying to make it seem like people like me are making modified bad. But why Tom, can't you just give a reason why with that?

I tried to make modified better today by saying we all should try to be more like the Euros in posting. Let's try not to make lame topics like 'How do I eat my girlfriend out' or 'What should we do with BenRea and JRStubs?' or any of that. But of course, that's of no concern to you. You just came in here to bad mouth me and that's it.

Oh, it's that damn chris miller again. When will he just stop being such a nuisance!

Actually, I read this one, and I was like 'hmm, chris seems to be losing it again, better keep an eye on him' and then I saw the other thread you started and I was like 'oh crap! he's off the rails!'.

Sinking ship? I tried to ask people to please try to post more considerately on the forum. I REALLY don't see what is so hard or crazy about that. I really think it just boils down to the fact that everyone respects people based on how much time they have in footbag, or how good they are. Which is understandable, but if someone's wrong, they're wrong.

They're not just right because they're good at footbag. Dave Clavens isn't the be-all end-all to every question of the universe. He's a good footbagger. That's it. He's also an 18 year old freshman in college, with a whole life ahead of him, along with life's lessons.

You people just don't understand where I'm coming from with this. I get tired of reading inconsiderate crap all the time. I'm just trying to clean up a little, that's all. I'm sure Matt conferred with Tom, and Peng and everything, to show the latest thread that Miller got flamed in. I don't care. I'm trying to make a point, I've been trying to make this point for a year now but no one seems to get it.

Try to think of the other readers on the forum when you post. Respect people's reading space by not subjecting them to your vulgarity. And try to respect the 'modified community' in your posts. THAT'S IT.

If we all try to do that, then this place will be easier for me to read. Thank you.

I like nice posts where people help eachother.

I don't think that how good someone is is the only thing that determines how much the things they say should be respected. That said, it often turns out that people that are good also happen to be smart because it takes being smart to get good. You need to be a good thinker and creative and stylish and this is all reflected in how you play to some extent.

I think the people that have put alot of work into getting good deseve respect for doing that, if they also post intelligently then we should also respect them for that.

If someone sucks ass at footbag but posts intelligently then I will still recognize them as someone to read.

im glad you reminded me about your last attempts to change modified. perfect example of what im talking about. i can see why people would agree with your sentiments of people being nicer in general, and the importance of cutting down on vulgarity on modified (even though i personally dont agree), but just like this time, even though your message was fine, you went about it completely wrong. last time to make a point about vulgarity you posted and reposted an obscene comic strip involving members of the online community. this time you called most people in the american shred scene assholes. like i said in the other thread, did you really think that people would be like "whoa chris, you're right, we ARE assholes!" there are SO much better ways of doing things than the methods you have chosen so far. think about it, most of the people that i would guess would probably agree with you about vulgarity and general mean spiritedness are flaming YOU. that must tell you something.

No, he just wants people to be more courteous and respectful to other peoples feelings. And he's right, there are a lot of mean spirited posts and jibes around here. Maybe him saying that people need to be more like another ethnicity was wrong, but, he is right in wanting to help out this community.

He dosn't want this place to be entirely about footbag, but just for people to think before they post and consider what repercussions that a post like that will have.

Every-one calm down and take a break from these threads.
