I was wondering if any of the people that are planning on staying off of Disney booked the rental unit yet or not. I was thinking that if there are going to be multiple units being rented by various people that we should all be at the same resort. It would be best for hanging out and transportation if everyone stayed close to each other. So far I am looking at Windsor and Terra Verde for rental units. Please let me know what you are looking at or where you reserved your rental.

I know this is Jon's idea and I thought it was brilliant. I went researching and I've elaborated on the plan further. I wanted to get the ball rolling early so people have a chance to form into groups and rent a house together and we can concentrate footbaggers at one gated resort, instead of different ones spread out. Walking home from a party would be much better (and safer) than driving home from a party. :)

Tom, Aidan, Flash, and I will be renting a house at Terra Verde for the week.

We hope other people who are thinking of renting a house also rents at the Terra Verde resort because it's more economical, less booked, and less family-oriented and therefore, has fewer kids and families to complain about us. Also, Terra Verde has mostly houses, unlike at Windsor which is mostly condos. This means the patios are often equipped with a private hot tub or pool, which is a plus for sore footbagger muscles. The Windsor does not have this as often, except in their larger, more expensive homes.

Terra Verde has, like other resorts, a shared clubhouse with a shared pool, hot tub and other facilities for people staying at the resort to use as well.

There are definite pros to being not in a hotel room, like privacy, extra bathrooms, laundry, and space. We'll have the ammenities of a hotel and a kitchen, which gives us an option to cook. Eating out everyday costs a lot of money. For those who are driving down anyway, there is very little downside since you'll already have a car to get you from point A to point B.

If we can coordinate this right, we can have a large footbag community at Terra Verde and party together, and then only have to stumble home to sleep. A concentrated group of footbaggers at one resort would be a definite plus so that we can all use the club facilities, get together, party at a certain house, etc. Also, a large group of footbaggers also means more flexibility for rides to and from Disney, thus solving more of the transportation issue.

Think about it guys. Make some decisions. If this sounds like the option you'd like, look up Terra Verde rentals on google and find a house you'd like to book. They have houses that house up to 14 or something ridiculous. All in a range of prices. Pick one that suits your needs so we can have a cool, post-main-event hangout RESORT for people to gather at.

I was thinking windsor hills, but the terra verde looks just as close, right off the road that runs past the event :) If youve booked your house then terra verde it is. Now we gotta get all the Euro players to stay there- IF theres any coming at all :?

Hey I haven't checked this post for a while, but the time is nearing. I am very interested in tera verde if there is not many or now little children. Also slapdash, wasabi, max power, mrs.mauler, benny bunnizer energy. All you folks are near or in the path of the Van route I am planning. I have about 9 people who are interested. The van could be cheaper than a bus or plane and is surely cheaper than a bus/plane and rent a car. Also does anyone know if this place has a daily or multi daily bus to disney? some do. see ya ted f

Myself, Emily, and Jeremy Mirken *might* be interested in this, I'm wondering how many people total would be interested and how much it would cost per person. Apparently the sponsored hotel is full up.

Its cheaper than the hotel but you have to clean up unless we hire maids. We will need more than 2 homes probably. 8)

Since there are a handful of people looking for one you guys should connect with eachother. You just need one person with a credit card to step up and put the $250 deposit down.

Mats?
Mirken?
Funky?

You guys should contact Wiktor Debski, he and his gf are in need of a place and they are awesome fun.

This resort option sounds really incredible. I also have a credit card and money to put down on the house, and at the rate of ~$100 for the week, it's pretty hard to pass up.

I'm definitely going to worlds, so, I think it's best if I get this shit nailed down now. Who wants to be in my house? PM me. PM ME!!! for fuck's sake, PM me. I hope to get a lot of responses.

Wiktor and Gosia, it would be cool if you want to stay with me. I would love to see you guys again after we had so much fun in wroclaw and helsinki.

thanks pengpeng for following up on this cool idea and getting the ball rolling.

just so folks know, at my house, I'm going to want to be able to stay up until at least 2 or 3 partying and playing music. So please keep that in mind if you want to stay with me. I would really prefer other partiers in the house, and I would REALLY REALLY REALLY prefer other musicians, so we can jam out.

How are you guys (the ones planning on staying at a house,) planning on getting to the event site?

I would rent a car but they'll charge me out the ass...

Terra verde is 5 miles from disneyworld.. the info I've been able to find is that there's a discount taxi service (not sure on cost,) and a shuttle which is "$8-14 per person" for a roundtrip ticket.

Tom and I are driving down so we'll have a car.

Have you looked into the deal with discount rent a car that they have with Anthony Travel? See if they can match $160 economy car rental for the week for a driver over 21. If not and you still want to rent a car, PM me and I'll tell you how to get the $160 car rental.

Ok I am taking reservations. I think we have 5 from Chicago already, so I can take up to 11 more max if I rent a 7 bedroom home. Thats MAXXED out so maybe less will be better? This will be a party house too of course.

Ill rent a large van if people will pay enough to recoup costs. It would be way less than 8 bucks a day each (I think) I can get a grand cherokee for around 6 bucks per passenger per day and with that we could go around orlando too.
Also some of the people staying with me are driving a suv from Chicago so they can drive a few people, but they are net players so the timing may be off.
