The rental houses are a turbo good deal and so we are sold on it. Aidan and Flash and Peng and me and some others will be staying in one and other smart people should do the same.

For reference, the house costs $700 for the week and it sleeps 8 people on beds. That means less than $100 per person for a weeks accomodation in a pimp house with a hot tub.

Also, to anyone else in need of a place. The houses are an AWESOME deal if you can swing a group to stay with you.

I feel like people aren't getting what Aidan is trying to say. I know this is Jon's idea and I thought it was brilliant. I went researching and I've elaborated on the plan further.

Tom, Aidan, Flash, and I will be renting a house at Terra Verde for the week.

We hope other people who are thinking of renting a house also rents at the Terra Verde resort because it's more economical, less booked, and less family-oriented and therefore, has fewer kids and families to complain about us. Also, Terra Verde has mostly houses, unlike at Windsor which is mostly condos. This means the patios are often equipped with a private hot tub or pool, which is a plus for sore footbagger muscles. The Windsor does not have this as often, except in their larger, more expensive homes.

Terra Verde has, like other resorts, a shared clubhouse with a shared pool, hot tub and other facilities for people staying at the resort to use as well.

There are definite pros to being not in a hotel room, like privacy, extra bathrooms, laundry, and space. We'll have the ammenities of a hotel and a kitchen, which gives us an option to cook. Eating out everyday costs a lot of money. For those who are driving down anyway, there is very little downside since you'll already have a car to get you from point A to point B.

If we can coordinate this right, we can have a large footbag community at Terra Verde and party together, and then only have to stumble home to sleep. A concentrated group of footbaggers at one resort would be a definite plus so that we can all use the club facilities, get together, party at a certain house, etc. Also, a large group of footbaggers also means more flexibility for rides to and from Disney, thus solving more of the transportation issue.

Think about it guys. Make some decisions. If this sounds like the option you'd like, look up Terra Verde rentals on google and find a house you'd like to book. They have houses that house up to 14 or something ridiculous. All in a range of prices. Pick one that suits your needs so we can have a cool, post-main-event hangout RESORT for people to gather at.

Who's planning to see theme parks? I remember seeing some peope wanted to jump out of planes, but I'm not into that. Any other plans for things to do?

Its been quite a long time since I've been to Disney, but as I recall, its a little short on actual speedy exciting roller-coaster type rides. There are a couple of noteworthy coasters, like Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain, but for the most part, Disney World and Epcot Center are more of a "Theme Park" than a Thrill-Ride Park, meaning that their main purpose is delivering some kinds of fantasies aimed at kids' imaginations in the case of Disney (most rides are actually fairly slow and, if you're looking for a rush, pretty boring too) , and aimed sort of at education and wonder plus a pseudo international experience in the case of Epcot Center. Again, rides there are mostly slow and interesting, rather than fast and thrilling.

I think that there is a large waterslide park too, (I think maybe its called Hurricane Harbor, or something like that, but I could be thinking of a different park altogether), which could be nice if its really hot out (really hot in Florida in August? What are the odds?).

Anyway, I plan on spending some time visiting the parks. When in Rome, ya know...

I haven't looked into it yet at all, but what I would most like to see is a rocket launch at the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral. Its not very far from Orlando, and I've always wanted to go there to see something blast off into orbit. Ideally, I'd like to see a night launch of the space shuttle, but I'd settle for a day launch of any big rocket. Of course, that stuff is all weather-dependant, and scheduled launches are delayed for all kinds of other reasons, and I have no idea yet if anything is even likely to be launched the week that we're there, but I'm going to look into that soon.

I think you are thinking of Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. I haven't been to Blizzard Beach yet but Typhoon Lagoon is definitely a must. I'm going to that one no doubt... in addition to jumping out of a plane.
