DHS Footbag Vidzzzzzz (Part 2 is up!)

Post by Zac Miley »

Here's one, another part of it should be up soon (it's more of a joking one, but I have a good string at the beginning).

I'm the good-looking one. lol just kidding. I got the duct tape and I also wear blue lavers in there. Cody has black hair and does atomic.

A lot of stuff got cut off (after the doubles section, that's pixie symp whirl, and sidewalk>ripwalk>dyno is actually dimwalk>sidewalk>ripwalk>dyno, The first move in the toe section is frantic legover). I'm not happy with it.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 2571&hl=en

It will be on fizzied soon. I'm not afraid Setman (this is an invitation to tear me/us apart)!

Second part: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... g+cody+zac

Thank you very much for all of the feedback so far.

I was talking to Cody and wanted to see if he is infact on one part of the video game and he was like "I sided with the other person in the game"

that was an enjoyable video i liked the editing, and the second song made me laugh.
it cool your starting to atomic more, its a fun set to learn, i can also tell that cody is starting to get both sided, expecially with atomics.
only critiques i have would be to cut down on the ss clipper bails, and clean up your pixie paradons a little.

as far as the video goes, you showed cody hitting the same trick like 5 or 6 times, when i think a max of 2 would suffice. you guys are both getting better, i enjoyed this vid surprisingly more than i thought i would. :)

Guess who did the editing! :P (I'm just kidding)

I'm really glad you liked it though, Zeb. :)

Wow, cool vid! I don't care how one-sided Cody may be, seeing diving tap and diving tapdown in slow motion is always fun :D

I thought the video was a tad longer than it should've been. I liked everything that was included in the vid, but like the part where you guys were shredding at the same time, maybe only put in one of those instead of two. And maybe throw in only the best of the best of the runs. Basically a good shred vid IMO should be around 3-4 min tops.

Songs were cool, I kinda chuckled too when the Heaven song came on just cuz footbag is kinda like hackysack heaven haha.

The shred was great! I pretty much agreed with Zeb on this one, cut out some of the bails, and replace them with BOP. The big moves were awesome highlights though. E-walk looked pretty clean to me, sick move! Atomics looked great from both of you, quantums looked great. I can't wait til Cody starts using flip ducking atomic................That'll be insane if he hits diving tapdown bsos 8O

Props guys!

Had a good ROFL out of this comment. So much so that my girlfriend insisted I tell her what was so damn funny.

Alright video, some good stuff in there. The funny bits in your videos are always entertaining to watch. My comments are pretty much the same. Cody needs to get his flipside caught up because IMHO the shred just looks butt-ugly with everything landing on the right foot. Don't get me wrong, the tapping-ducking/diving single big trick stuff looked sweet as hell, but some of the runs made me cringe. And both of you can cut down on the ss clipper bails by replacing them with ss butters or osii (or something else, those two just come to mind as the easiest to do instead).

I've noticed a general trend based on what you guys post and what you put in your videos that IMO you are too focused on add-hunting, crazy sets, and trying to hit really big concepts at the top of what you are capable of, rather than working on consistency or rounding out your game. I'm not sure who you're trying to impress, this is footbag, you don't have anything to prove to anyone. I know it's fun to go for the big stuff but it shows in your game having sloppy form with mostly short runs with a few big tricks. If that's how you want to play, that's fine, but if you want to be able to excel in competition aside from sick1/sick3 you're going to need work more on links and consistency. That's my feedback, take it or leave it.

Yeah, i put alpine tapdown in more than i needed. i meant to change the intro with one where i do a string but then i didn't. and i wouldn't consider myself really an add hunter. part of that is when you film a video you want to get the best of what you can do on camera. also i do the big stuff cause i think its more fun, but i'm always looking for those easier tricks that seem to put a gap in my game. like i've been drilling osis and whirl this week so i can use them perfectly in my strings.

Also, thats a good point about the clipper bails. somehow i got into that habbit on accident, i'll try and replace all my clipper bails with at least butterflies from now on.

and i can't do alpine atomsmasher janis because my atomsmasher is still a work in progress but i hope to hit that in the next few weeks.

Thanks for the post Ben, I'm working on all the stuff you posted about. :)

My basics are getting worked on, but I really don't want to sacrifice hitting big tricks. I don't think either one of us is trying to impress anyone except ourselves.

Second part is up btw.

Man I saw the Dorkiest chick on the beach yesterday when I was playing footbag and it made me want to video tape her or something. In other news, I had one of the best sesions ever!

Great video! I really cringed when during the fall, it looked like you hit your head pretty bad.

I guess I would say get rid of clipper, everyone. Why clipper when you can butterfly?

yeah, part 2 had some funny stuff that we wanted to put up but we thought it made the original way too long, even though it still is pretty long.

also i never even realized i bail to clipper so much now, i used to always use butterfly but now i never do that or anything. from now on i'm gonna try to change that.

I wonder if we can get this to page 2.

That would make me a happy camper.

I don't really care what you post, I just want another page.

I really enjoy anything atomic, so keep up with that. At one point I really liked stepping, but now not so much. I'm currently obsessed with atomic. Maybe try fusion...? Sorry if I missed you doing it.

Also, thats a nice looking TV.

i havent watched this second vid but the first was tight. oh yeah and this is to help get to page 2 :D
Your next task: Go to the bathroom.
Wash your face.
Put your shoulders hunched upwards.
Look really, really slowly upwards towards the mirror like in the movies
And slap yourself in the face.
With your game face on.
And go shred with jim.
It'll work, trust me.
