Please evaluate my very long essay

Post by Guest_1 »

It's only needed to be 7 pages double spaced and I left out the circus people and Bitzer. Let me know if I should remove or add anything. Thanks!!!

Characters Aligned Along the Moral Spectrum in Hard Times
Charles Dickens chose to align his characters along a wide and varying spectrum of morality. Trials and tribulations frequent the novel and allows for fluctuations along that spectrum to be shown. How the characters act, handle situations during and after, and development as the story continues show the true colors at and between the greens and reds of honesty and corruption.
Thomas Gradgrind is the first to be introduced to the continuum. Thomas (henceforth referred to as Mr. Gradgrind) Gradgrind’s philosophy is governed by facts. Mr. Gradgrind states immediately in the novel, “Now, what I want is, Facts. Teach these boys and girls nothing but Facts. Facts alone are wanted in life. Plant nothing else, and root out everything else. You can only form the minds of reasoning animals upon Facts: nothing else will ever be of any service to them. This is the principle which I bring up my own children, and this is the principle on which I bring up these children. Stick to Facts, sir!â€

:) Nice essay! There were a few commas that needed to be added, but on the whole, it was a nice paper.
