I was hoping someone would post, but I don't think I've met James, either. I'm not sure though, because I briefly met a few Montrealers whose names I don't remember. I'm going to add, though, that Gambit (aka Remy LeBeau 8) (who is actually Cyclops' and Havok's brother....seriously)) doesn't throw exploding cards, rather he has the ability to charge objects with "kinetic energy".
Here's a quick family tree lesson: Cyclops is brothers with Havok. Their dad is Corsair, the Starjammer (space pirate). Their mother died when they were young (and they were separated at a young age). I believe Gambit is the son of Corsair by another woman -- I forget the deal on that. Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Jean Grey had a son -- Nathan Grey Summers (Cable). But "Nate" also comes back from the future as X-Man (who is like an alternate-dimension Nate Grey). In the future, they also had a daughter, Rachel Summers who is in the British team Excalibur, as Phoenix (but not to be confused with the Jean Grey "Phoenix"...but a little similar....).
8) 8) 8) .....

I met Ben Roscoe for the first time at KICKASS 2. He's basically the happiest, ("go-lucky" seems to describe him) most upbeat guy ever. I remember watching him, like, introduce himself to Dave Clavens, or saying bye when he was leaving or something, and he was all starry eyed, and it was so refreshing and pleasant. He was all playing, like, mandolin? At Tom Mosher's house which gives him more points on the optimism scale. I was filming a video of Matt Cross playing guitar for my girlfriend (a fan), and Ben Roscoe appeared around the corner and started singing along with this huge smile on his face that brightened the alley, proclaiming in the cheeriest of cheery voices, "This is my favourite song!" I remember watching him win intermediate shred in the downstairs of the competitions venue -- such consistancy. I wonder what his game is like now. And I wonder if he plans to come to WEED MARCH ON MAY 5TH IN TORONTO..... I very much look forward to seeing Ben Roscoe again in the future.

Oh, actually, the ALMOST first time I met him was in my home town, where he came to attend a folk festival or something (something that Winnipeg is well known for, I believe). I was told that he was coming into town, and the night before I was at a restaurant with my brothers and my mom and saw (or my brother saw) Mike Faille's bright "footbad shoe mod" shirt for the first time. I had no idea who Ben Roscoe was at the time, and I had never seen the shirt before, but I knew it was sa footbagger...and for once I felt too awkward to say hi (since at the time I was not playing footbag at all for quite some time (like in the middle of my hardcore time off, due to injury...or some garbage...)) Oh...I think I PMed him later saying sorry I missed you, or something and there was a touch of correnspondance.

Well, that's Ben Roscoe.
He's also very skinny, and has blond hair.
And did I mention that he's very happy?

(Oh yeah, and it's spelled "bo", I think...)

I first met Erik randomly while he was visiting Chicago in 2000(?)

Not only am I jealous of his freestyle skills but his art too. I love the intricate linework, energy and flow of his illustrations.

He came back to Chicago last year and I finally got a chance to hang out with him and get to know him better as a person. Somewhat soft spoken but very friendly. You cannot hate this guy. It's illegal.

BTW, I think Hackrifice has got to be one of the absolute best names E-V-E-R!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a cool idea. I don't want to see it die just yet.

Chris likes elephants. (Sorry. I don't know you but had to attempt to revive the thread.)

The only person on this page I have met in person is Erik Chan who is super-chill and looks like a bionic man when he plays with his knee braces.

I only noticed David Adams' screen name a day or two ago from the global warming thread he started and took note that he was someone new. I don't know him, but it looks like he's from Orlando and so I guess I'll meet him at worlds.

Josh went to the Steel City Shred Off last June and was only there for the second day. He also came without any footbag shoes of any kind.

Holly likes to stitch, and makes lots of footbags, and they have anchors on them now. She used to play guitar? She has a Wii and other gaming systems with Brian, and she likes We <3 Katamari.

She has blond hair and the same thick black-framed glasses as Brian. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee, and probably has a silly Southern accent. Apparently she is the authority on Climacool modding. I saw a pair that she modded, worn by Kyle Hewitt over the weekend, but didn't really know what I was looking at.

Yeah, that's pretty much all that I know about Holly off the top of my head. I refer to her as PegLeg when I talk about her. And I was almost going on a trip to Tennessee where I was going to meet the Brigade.

I'm glad someone revived this again. I actually went and read Pirate Man's entire blog a while back so that I could write something about him, but then lost interest after all of that reading..

Erik's name is spelled with a K and no C. He's so cool he once inspired a non footbag friend of mine to join modified just to discuss comics with him.

CautionFragile is from Mississauga which is like the Canadian version of Mississippi. It also is supposed to be the most polish town in Canada.

Kamil is the most polish person in CiC. I once roasted polish sausage over a fire with kamil. Has many pairs of lavers.

HenDawg is a solo midwest shredder. We've had an outstanding refraction challenge for almost 2 years. He's small but busts large and has improved vastly in the last year. He has a great sense of humor and will be going to worlds. A girl showed him her chest in the middle of class. henry's head then proceeded to explode
