Considering that post was clearly made by a person on this forum with a duplicate account, I don't think it's asking too much to know who that person is who is trying to deceive all the forum members so that they can launch an anonymous attack on other forum members.
Also why was it deleted? Which forum rules did it breach?
edit; And for the record the person who started that topic was "supernemesis" - they still have 3 posts left on the forum that a mod could ip check.
What happened to the list of flamers topic?

In the interests of transperancy: the poster 'Supernemesis' is operating from the same IP address as 'Shredzilla', who is currently banned.
The Mod Staff have moved this potentially inflammatory topic for further consideration.

So in the interests of transparency, did Chris agree to take some time off, or did the mod/admins decide to ban him? Events seem to be a little contradictory...moxie wrote:So everyone knows, Chris knows he got out of hand and agreed to take some time off of posting for two weeks. He'll be unbanned two weeks from today.

I'm not a mod but I do talk to him on IM fairly regularly. I had told him he needed to chill out (and it wasn't the first time). He said he wanted to stop posting but it seems like he couldn't help himself. I think the solution to ban him temprorarily was a good one.Jeremy wrote:So in the interests of transparency, did Chris agree to take some time off, or did the mod/admins decide to ban him? EDIT: He had actually asked me to create a list of flamers topic (I never saw the one referred to here, I guess it got deleted before I ever saw it) obviously in attempt to fuel whatever flame war he was fighting. I refused and suggested he needed to stop posting in the non-footbag related section. That it was a waste of his and everyone else's time.
1. The forum rules that were violated were:
a. no duplicate accounts.
b. full name in sig. Creating a fake identity obviously violates the spirit of this rule.
c. The member was banned. Posting when you are banned is like violating your parole.
2. He asked the staff to ban him for 2 weeks. Therefore there is no contradiction between
a. him asking for time off.
b. him getting banned.
I hope this answered all of your questions.

Sure, so why weren't the other topics he posted in also deleted?
Don't you think that once other people have posted in a topic, if that topic specifically isn't breaking any rules (and according to what you've mentioned, it's not) then deleting the posts of law abiding members is wrong? Couldn't you have just banned the member without deleting the topics?
Did my post break any rules? If not, why was it deleted?
