Saratoga Springs Summer Shred Tournament

Post by Will Digges »

I just want to have a poll here, I wanted to see how many people would be able to make this and which date would be the best for the majority of people. Dave claven's said he could probably make it, and my bro, and matt k and pat tallon will probably all be there.

I'm thinking of a venue at the Saratoga City Center right on broadway, I still have yet to call them, but if it's early enough i'm sure we can work something out.

There are hotels and restauraunts and bars all up and down broadway and no more than 5 blocks walking distance. (Matt Cross there is a great sushi place 5 blocks down from where I want to have the venue.)

As for dates, I'm thinking the last weekend of June or the first or second weekend of July. Which would be better for all of you, and please take the poll if you don't post so I can get a good idea of who will be interested.

I think this will be a great place for a jam and it's Right in the middle of the East Coast Scene.

Where: Saratoga Springs, NY (Near albany for all of you who dont know)

When: Last weekend of June, first weekend of July, or second weekend of July.

Why: Because Footbag is the shit and we rock harddddd

Thanks everyone!
More info to come soon in a more professional and organized manner!

I'm voting for the third choice because I think it sounds funny, but I don't really mean it.

I'd say that there is a high likelihood that I would come to Saratoga Springs for an event this summer.

I can't guarantee yet because there are other things I want to do this summer, and for some of them, the date of said events has not been firmly established yet (like your proposed event), so...

I can't say when I'll be free to come to Saratoga yet, but if I were free, and you weren't totally unlucky with the weather forecast, then, yeah, I'd be there.

Shoot, under the right circumstances, I'd come up to Saratoga for the weekend if it were just a mid-sized jam, no events planned or space reserved, etc.

Good luck with your planning, Will.

Lake George is one of my favorite places on earth and I haven't been there in years. Maybe I could visit The Springs and The Lake in one visit.

Awesome John, Saratoga springs is a great area for a tournament, lots of people walking right past where we would play, good food, good hotels, good people. It seemed like an opifony, I just have to have this tournament.

So if you were to come which weekend would be the most likely you could come?

(I should Have put those as poll answers)

Woah, I didn't realize how far away this actually is from me.

Looks like it'd be a 10 hour drive. I'm probably not gonna be making this.

if you build it, they will come.

yo, me too WIll
I would almost definitely go. Saratoga is not TOO far from me.
ANd I would be down to help if you can think of anything I could do.

One thing, I might as well give you a super-early heads up.
Can you please try to find a crash zone for me that will be walking distance from the site, so I would not drive on Friday night or saturday until nighttime.

I'm going to put this out there right now, if we had it in Toga, there would be no free crash space, but there are shitloads of hotels up and down the street that are all close to the event site, I still need to decide on a date, looks like the US open is around the 8th of july, so Now I'm thinking the last weekend of June will have to do or the one after that.

hmmm, well I will try to find crash space through my connection of rabbis worldwide. If not, then perhaps I will only make it on SUnday. If I make it, and there is not a home game, then I will bring some other soccer freestylers.
