Awesome video!

I love all her new sets, it's cool to see Tripwalk and Matador.

Loving the double dexes, especially paradons.

That camera is insane man, how much did it cost? Great use of it as well!

I think the little breaks where she was breathing heavy was in there a few too many times, but overall it was an incredible video!

I liked the stops when she was breathing, thinking, cooling off. The camera work was different than most footbag videos and I liked it a lot.

thanks for all the comments. I'm glad you like my shooting and editing. I tried to do something different... as usual, hehe.

Yes, I'm sure Caro will read your comments, if not already, and I'm sure she appreciates all the responses as well.

For those interested, I shot Anamorphic, 24pA with a Panasonic DVX100B and a shotgun mic.

I like editing footbag videos because you can just shoot "around the clock" (industry term for covering lots of angles without necessary direction) and somehow make it work really well and without "crossing the line" (breaking the 180 degree rule).

Final thought, there is often art where you do not see it. For example color correction is best if it's unseen. Same for editing, when continuity is important. And I did have to do a bit of color correction on this video; I accidentally changed my white balance halfway through the shoot. D'oh!

Cheers,

Weird, just last week during a session Cody and I were lamenting the fact that you don't make any new videos any more. We wondered if either of you even still shred.

Very glad to see this one. Definitely quality.

Make a video of yourself one of these days while you're at it.

Cool video. It was nice being able to watch Caro play again after kicking with you guys in the winter. Does anyone in Vancouver still want to do a summer jam? Even if it weren't a big (or even tiny) production, I would still love to head up there and hang out and kick with you guys again. Hit me up online, sometime, if you get the chance.

Peace,

I have to agree, the quick breaks in the footbag are rare and kind of gives insight to the person maybe??? At times it reminded me of myself taking a quick breath and thinking of what I could do next :D

Regardless the camera work was really interesting and different which is always a bonus in any kind of compilation. That and the fact that the footbaggers on flipsider.com were what originally hooked me on this whole hackbag thing!

Thanks for the vid!! Hope to see more (really enjoyed the Mulroney special)
Look a BLOG! That I never update

just wanted to answer a couple things addressed to me personally...
Iron Clad Ben wrote:Weird, just last week during a session Cody and I were lamenting the fact that you don't make any new videos...
Yes, it is a fickle world, my video-making brethren. "What have you done for me lately?" :?
Iron Clad Ben wrote:Make a video of yourself one of these days while you're at it.
First, tell Cody HI!!! I miss Austin! Next, I quit footbag. I now have other priorities in life. I think it's great Caro still practices (for fun and health!) and is going to Worlds. You will never see a new video of me, less some small miracle.
SamPotter wrote:Does anyone in Vancouver still want to do a summer jam? Even if it weren't a big (or even tiny) production, I would still love to head up there and hang out and kick with you guys again.
Hi Sam! All I can say is maybe. I haven't heard from London since the jam. Who knows if he still kicks. I won't be organizing anything because I always want to make it worth everyone's while, and that means spending a bunch of money I don't have. However, visitors are always welcome (with crash space)!

Also, thanks for all the compliments, pals. You will definitely see a few more videos from me before it's all over. Vasek in Africa, Footjam 2005, Peter Irish Special and a few other surprises.

Final thought, quality matters. My Undefeated video is how I got the part in the K-Swiss commercial. Later,

Nice video. I didn't even notice the cuts till halfway through the video. Thanks for sharing what you were thinking when you were making it. I'll keep the 180 degree rule in mind for the next videos I make.
