VSTi's

Post by QuantumBalance »

Anyone into virtual synthesizer technology? I'm not asking, do you use Fruity loops? Because, you can use Fruity Loops and not use VSTs.

I use Cubase SX3 personally. 4 isnt on the net yet.

I recently went through my VSTplugins folder and deleted a lot of.... useless ones. Useless to me that is. Not to everyone. Anyway I still have some heavy hitters left and a few esoteric ... er.. eclectic ones.

Anyone else deal with the random hangs and blips and stuff that using multiple VSTi's at once causes?

I don't NEEd to know anything. Just wondering.

btw

Anyway, the reason that I'm posting this is because, like I said, I just went through and weeded out some VSTs. But then I spent about 3 hours on the aforementioned website looking at stuff. I'm currently downloading a 6 dvd set of a program called gigastudio, that supposedly has sick sounds. I am also downloading ensemble patches for Reaktor 5 which is this program that lets you create your own synthesizor. It is.. way too complicated but when you load ensembles you can see synths that other people have made. Once this all finished downloading.... 40 gigs later. I will back everything up and then format and reinstall. Installing only the vsts which I have tested and know to work well. This will probably take me a month from now I am guessing. Maybe only 2 weeks. But hey!!! Good Times. Then I plan to make an INSANE amount of beats. I actually have some new music but I am in a transitionary stage where my stuff is cleaner/better than before (when you guys heard it last) But, not good enough ... not where I want to be. I'll let you hear one fragment.

Well take it easy Guys. Shred hard! Stretch softly.

Do you use high-end software like that often, Sam. I recently cracked Nuendo (another Steinberg application) but was really freaked out by the interactive dongle security they have. So I immediately deleted it from my computer.

Lol Caleb. Yeah man I have the whole adobe cs3 suite running on mycomp + a grip of graphics and audio software. Some of it will have viruses, you have to recognize signs to get the good stuff from the good release groups.

Naa, I was more afraid of getting busted. Emulated dongles constantly connected on the net.....sketchy stuff.
