Hair in your barbeque?

Post by CIC flurry »

My hair is long, like the length of my back, so when I freestyle I tie it up samurai style otherwise it just gets in my way.
I don't spin much otherwise it falls down and gets all up in my grill again. Of course that sucks because it's messing up my game.

Also, the hair at the front of my head wants to stay short and not be able to get tied back, so it just falls in my face when I play, but this is of secondary concern.

I saw Brad Kaplan (I think) at Worlds '99, and he had it tied up "player style."
And my fellow club members, Jamez and Reile, had/have long hair, but it seems to not mess them up much.

Does anyone else have a problem of getting their hair all up in their barbecue?

What do you do to keep it in its place...other than cut it off (too easy)?

grill=barbeque=face

Mine used to be longer than Foreman's, but now it's pretty short.
I used to have a problem w/ my bangs getting in my eyes all the time, but not no more

so I voted the second one, btw

My hair reaches about my mid-back. I just pull it back normally, nothing special. The footbag used to get caught when I did spins, but, uhh... it doesn't anymore. It does mess up my ducks and dives every once in awhile though.

Shoulder length here. I put it up in a pony tail and put a hat on to keep it out of my eyes.

My hair is shorter than I would like it... but I had it cut for footbag.

Actually I was doing a demo for a 2 day festival, and couldn't be bothered worrying about bed head, but essentially, it's short for the game.

I have my priorities straight:

1. Footbag.
2. Footbag.
3. Everything else.
4. Money.

Note: Although 1 and 2 are the same, it's all about happyness.

Footbag would be my #1 reason to cut my hair.

i use a bandana and tie it back over my hair, like along the top of my head, not just "gangsta" style at the hair line.

Does it?

I thought it pertains to hair getting in the way of your face while you shred.

Mine is short. High tight fade, #2 on top, no lines. It's the definition of minimal maintenance.

I heard/read somewhere that soldiers during the roman empire cut their hair short so their enemies could not grab it to help cut their throats. I can dig it.

mine used to be down to my mouth in the front, and down to my sholders in the back...but then one day i was riding my bike to this park, and i was like "holy jesus fucking christ its hot." then i got to thinkin...im always hot when i start freestylin, my hair always gets in my face, if i wear a hat it falls off...so that day i shaved my head. haha. god its soo much nicer, shower time is cut in half, you can see that i have my ears pierced, i dont get super hot very quick anymore. now that its shaved i dont see the point in having long hair...
Every man has their technique, and they are all different......when you know mine.....youll be dead.

I used to have this big bush of hair. but then the hairdresser screwed it up, the stupid bitch, and i had to get it cut short to fix it. Its prolly for the better, cause i wont sweat as much during the summer, and it'll be grown back by the time it gets cooler out

Yeah, that's a big problem here in Australia. That and Kangaroos hopping off with your jacket. But the throat slitting is a big issue in the Australian footbag community.

My hair's shoulder length, and I'm still growing it out. I just tie it back for footbag. I want to put it in dreads, but my parents don't want me to, so I'm going to anyway, just not as soon. But when I have my dreads, I'll just wear one of the hats for dreads (I believe they're called tams) that you put all of your dreads in and that'll keep them out of the way.
