Femenists can really piss me off.

Post by Blue_turnip »

Now I want to say a fair bit in this thread, but my thoughts are quite incoherent at the moment and I'll leave a fair bit out. This thread is gonna have alot of generalisations too. Just warning.

I believe in equality between the sexes. However, it seems that there has been quite a fair bit of sexism in my current generation. It really pisses me off that if a guy makes a sexist comment its the end of the world but when a girl does, it is disregarded. Girls also expect better treatment, and act as if they are superior to males. Yet at the same time, they want voting rights. Well you can't have it both ways, bitches.

There are alot of males at my school who I pretty much view as weak for not standing up for themselves. They just do whatever girls want and treat them like princesses. And girls expect it, and I get a very clear 'i'm better than you' vibe, and it pisses me right off. I never do what these girls tell me to do. On principal. In fact, I try to treat them like I would a male. Because isn't that what they want? Equal treatment?

Then after all this, girls still act as if they are are the sex that is hard done by. That they've gone through so much. Give me a fucking break. This is the point which pisses me off the most. The same people I'm talking about have been brought up in a society where sexism is a taboo (rightfully so). The girls I'm talking about have experienced very little prejudice, if any at all. However they've managed to reap the compensation that came from the fact that their mothers and grandmothers were discriminated.

Apparently theres some law in Australia that says if two people are going for a job, and they equally deserve it, the job will go to the female. Because of the descrimination to females in the past. What the fuck, we're talking about different people here.

WIth that logic, I should be able to rape, perform cruel medical experiments, torture and murder every japanese person. Just because of what their country did in WWII. It's just fucking stupid.

That's my rant.

PS. Germaine Greer is a bitch. What she said about Steve Irwin was fucked up. He's done so much for animals and stuff, and has created heaps of nature places and shizzle. How can someone be so much of a bitch to say that about him?

If you agree, hold a door open for a female for every door you hold open for a male. For most people, that'll mean very few doors'll be held open.

If you disagree, fuck off.

I already open as many doors for men as I do women.

I don't get what your problem is? I work with nearly all women and the only problem I have is how they all think everyone wants to hear about their feelings.

Was there actually an event that instigated your hate on women, or do you just not want to have an interest in them anymore?

I'm basically referring to the girls in my year level - and the girls from other schools as well.

I don't know how old you are, but yeah.

WHat I don't get is you not getting what my problem is. I think I explained it fairly clearly.

It was many events, that constantly happen.

Yep I agree. People don't want equal treatment; They want better, special treatment. This really pisses me off when people protest wanting 'equal' rights.... But what they ask for is handouts and easy goings. I treat everyone equally, whether they're male or female. I may hold a door open for a lady but that's just common courtesy.

I personally praise females every chance I get. They're much better company than males and much easier on the eyes as well. :P

But seriously, everyone is just coming to grips with their lust for attention and status in high school or whichever grade you are in. Female equality is just their excuse. Especially since they just learned about Susan B Anthony, Sandra Day O'Connor, and Anna Shaw in their social studies class. Haha. I wouldn't read much into it. Although people clamoring for rights and equality because their great great grand daddy/mommy couldn't vote or use the same bathroom as others is a big problem. I won't say that steriotyping and persecussion is completely extinct but it's by no means a community problem that our entire society has to deal with anymore, in my opinion.

I'm getting way off topic.....to conclude: Keep opening those doors, Turnip. In a year or two, those very same girls might stop complaining long enough to get their cooties vaccine and notice the chivalry behind it.

Wow... I actually agree with you Adam...

I have those exact same views. I'm what you might consider, a bit more extreme about it though. If a girl comes up to me when we're drinking, or hanging out, and punches me in the face, she better hope she's got some guy friends to pull me back, because I don't hold back just because you're a girl. My mom raised me to treat everyone the same, no matter who they are, or what they are. Don't dish out what you can't take yourself. That's pretty much how a lot of people are around here, and everyone knows it. So it doesn't happen too often the a guy and a chick get into a physical fight. Most guys around here won't sit and take it. I've only had to restrain a girl once, thankfully.

I am not a person that beats on women, or anything like that. I'm just saying, I'm not going to take their shit when they feel like dishing it out. Because the ONLY reason they dish it out, is because they think, "I'm a female, you can't hit me back." I'll take that wager.

As for door holding... I hold doors for just about everybody. It's just common courtesy. I stop at intersection, and wave people to go first, or let someone cross the street, not based on whether they're a female or not, just because it's common courtesy.

It pisses me off the women take advantage of all of this. They're nothing special. They're just people, like everyone else. All they did, was be born, that's it. I don't treat my girlfriends better than what I think is right. I don't do anything for my girlfriend, that she wouldn't do for me. I expect her to bring money for herself if we're going to a movie or whatever. I usually pay for her, but she best have the money herself. And she always does, cause she's like me. She doesn't expect special treatment. If she hits a guy (Which she has done before), she expects to get hit back. If she starts a fist fight with a guy at school (Which she has done), and she gets punched in the face by a guy, I'm not going to hold anything against the guy, because she would've started it.

That's how I think the world should be, everywhere. Fuck chivalry. If you wanna be nicer to women than men, that's fine, but don't let them walk all over you, just because they're women. Guys that let that shit happen are weak and pathetic.

I know some guys who think they're better than girls. I should just tell them that they can change their way of thinking or keep thinking that and just give up voting. They can't have it both ways.

Amen. To practically everything you said. Yes, I also hold doors. But I don't see many other guys do it for males, thats why I threw it in.

I warned you that I was gonna make some generalisations. In my community, I reckon I could find 5 girls who think they're better for every male that thinks they're better.

I definately agree with this. But I also believe that high school kids will be kids. Most high schoolers and even college folk always want something to dramatize into a protest and something political. Kids protest dress code in my county like its freedom of speech to wear what you want. Some kids protest against saluting the flag. Some protest about cell phones. Some protest about inequality. It seems to me that kids try to find things to rebell against.

Don't get me wrong. In high school I had an opinion on everything and I "exercised freedom of speech". But as I've gotten older, I've realized what really matters and whats just stupid. When I was younger I wanted to join the football team... but my parents wouldn't let me and the school wouldn't let me. I would be fine taking the physicalness... but it was about if I were allowed, then every girl would be allowed and not all girls could take it.

Women Marines aren't allowed to be in infantry. My twin told me its because females alter males decision making and that the male would feel like he had to protect her more. I'm not sure if I disagree with that, but if I were at the maturity level I was at in high school then I would have tried to debate that.

There are adult feminists too... but maturity isn't their excuse. It's about how males have treated them in their lives and clinging to the idea of "girl power".

With all that junk being said, I feel women are equal to men... but I don't think it's a big deal for everyone to feel that way. If you don't like how someone is treating you (whether they be male or female) then you find other people to associate with.

Men and Women are different. Individuals are different. Boys and Girls are different. People from different countries are different. Males and Females are different. You are different. I am different.

We are all the same.

Yeah, that's really shitty. Women aren't allowed in Infantry for any branch of the military. That's bogus. Women are getting closer and closer to the front line now days. And they are often found in shoot out with their fellow male soldiers, especially around two years ago when it was more active in Iraq.

It makes no sense that a female can be a field medic (Like my highschool friend, Leah Gilbertson), and be attached to an Infantry unit and be in an Infantry squad, and run about with Infantry soldiers on their mission, and even be assigned as a SAW gunner, grenadier, or whatnot, but they are not allowed to just be one of them. That truly pisses me off. I have to friends that wanted to be Infantry, and believe me, they are completely able to do it physically, but they can't. And when they were told that can't be in the Infantry because they were women, they chose not to join. How many other women change their mind about joining when told they can't have a specific position based on their sex? I'd say a good bit.

Not only that, but women are not allowed on the front line. Why the hell not? Is it somehow immoral or something?

It's funny, that a female Drill Sgt, can train Infantry soldiers, yet that female Drill Sgt, cannot have the job, that she's training others to have.

Sorry... that's kind of a soft spot on me. Gets me really worked up. I mean, I really don't like feminists that take advantage of people, but this is just one thing that I can't stand.

Apparently theres some law in Australia that says if two people are going for a job, and they equally deserve it, the job will go to the female. Because of the descrimination to females in the past. What the fuck, we're talking about different people here.
There is no such law in Australia as far as I know.
