Epiphane: For a lot of people, even though they don't respond here, it's the first blog they check... even before their own! You provide them with a lot of inspiration and entertainment, distracting them from their hardships with a comical perspective on life. The particular life of a person who happens to be amazing at footbag which so many of us would want to be one day.

So, I guess people read that post from a few weeks ago and thought it was recent, which, it wasn't. It was like 2 weeks old and I didn't post for like 12 days. But then it kinda seemed that all the shit was gone, or at least, it felt like it because I wasn't on here. So I guess out of sight of of mind.

Anyway, over that time I played footbag every day and started working. I work at a grocery store. The "playing hack" was in a responce to the "how did you sprain your ankle?". I sprained it went I went out to play with Bevier. I played really well and then just slipped and it snapped. It's a weird experience rolling your ankle. I've done it before but this time I just fell to the ground and was more saddened than in pain. It just was like, a huge flash of me not being able to reach my potential this summer. It was even more of a hurt because I was playing so well, whcih was kind of a change.

Anyway, since then I have iced it and taken care of it, and it's getting a little better. I still can't clipper or anything though, and the crank is about 50% of before. Kind of a bummer. Also my lower back has been giving me a lot of problems. I don't know what to make of all this.

In other news I've been sewing a lot and I think I'm going to lay off the amaretta. The amaretta combined with my dense filler just makes them not last as long, even if they do play great. So I'm switching back to facile (which is what I used most of the time anyway). So, we'll see how that goes over.

Life in Bethlehem is pretty chill, but pretty boring. Not much is going on. I do work a lot though. I've taken up juggling.

I never post highlights but in case I can never play at my level again here is some shit I hit. If anything it will take me a while to get back to that level.

- furious ss legover>toe flurry
- blazing pdx. dlo>fusion>bw>bw>pdx. whiring swirl>spinning pdx. dlo
- phasing ss dyno (downward spiral)
- genesis x 2
- 22 unique fearless

There is much more, but it's not important. The best thing is that new fearless record. I remember the combo, so just post if you want to hear it.

So now I am basically healing myself and making money at work. Nothing else. I am bummed because I have no solid friendships here except for Toolan and my neighbor, but I don't know what I would do even if I had people here. I just don't enjoy sitting around watching TV or doing stupid stuff. I'd rather be stitching or juggling or playing.

So I dont know if this is me posting again or just me documentating the last 2 weeks for the sake of doing that. Perhaps I just needed something to do while I can't play.

Oh. I'm in Ianeks house for worlds which is really good.

I also made a video of me playing in socks. You can find it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiKc0p8CfuE (before I hurt myself). If you look at my youtube channel www.youtube.com/davidclavens there are some other videos that you might have not seen.

Post if you want.

It's good to have both a physical passion and a mental passion! That way when one is not possible, maybe the other is!

Hey.

Sitting here, green tea in left hand, typing with right, peanut butter nature valley granola bar in my mouth. Put down the iced tea for fast typing. Sitting upright at the desk instead of the usual laptop on the floor. 12:07. Get up kids on the playlist. New bag to my left. Cat somewhere. Quiet except for my music.

So I got 30 hours at work this week which is good because my ankle still hurts and so does my back so its not like I would be playing footbag. But I hate working so much. Last night sucked really hard. This guy gave me a $20 dollar bill, I gave him change, and then he pulls this shit that he gave me a $50. His rip off was foiled though because of my cuteness and the fact that I didn't have a 50 in my drawer. So he peaced. My manager said he pulls that shit alot. So, that sucks, and it's one strike down for humanity.

That was coupled with people bitching about coupons and shit. I'm all for saving money on your toaster strudel, but I really don't care that your coupon didn't double or whatever. I mean, if you really wanted to save money you'd put the Sprite back and hit up the trusty tap. Am I right? Yes, yes I am.

So today sucked because I had to wake up at 9 and I'm used to waking up at 12. Actually, I woke up at 8:30 because my shift started at 9. I basically zombied through till 12 and then I started waking up and that was alright. But all I did was work with old ladies, and it was busy as shit because it was memorial day. But I get paid a little more because it was a holiday and shit, so that's alright.

Anyway, probably looks like I'm just complaining but I'm really not. Just sometimes my job is bad when its really busy. In positive news, I ran tongith and my dad rode his bike next to me. It was borderline bonding, which I don't do (not by choice). So that was good. Then I went to the park and played frisbee, then went to this get together with all these kids from highschool. This girl got this little dog, he was pretty cute. Dogs are expensive though man, shit.

My uncle has lou gehrigs disease and my parents went out to see him and it really screwed up my mom seeing her brother like that and it led to all these fights in my house and everyone being on bad terms. Ugh.

Bag sales are going good, and I like how I have 3 different models now. I'll do a write up about the advantages of each later. I just realized that like, one bag is not the best for everyone, so I'm craftinig them with subtle changes now, which is good. And the amaretta just doesn't hold up on concrete, but it does on carpet. So if you bought an amaretta and it died I'm really sorry, but it was probably an excellent bag for it's lifespan. I guess I should only sell them in the winter or something. Who knows. Or people should just play on mats.

This guy today was saying shit about being broke and in college and all and I was like, man, I'm not doing so bad. But then again I do work a bit and stitch, so it's not like everything is given to me for free. But I am lucky my parents pay for a lot of my schooling. Hm. Just thought I should maybe be a bit more grateful and thankful I don't have to work full time and shit.

Nothing else is new. I reorganized the computer room. My laptop used to be on the floor in this big mess of wires and shit but now I put it on this one desk and it looks like:

Image

Which doesn't really look like any improvement, but it is, I swear.

If my ankle doesn't start feeling better I'm going to cry.

out.
